Probably the best Ibis I've stayed in. The staff were friendly and our room was very clean. The hotel had a small feel to it, which was nice for a chain hotel. The beds were more comfortable than the British Ibis' i have stayed in recently. The location was perfect- right by the centre of St Germain. We had originally made plans to go into Paris more, but St Germain was so nice that we stayed local alot more than we had thought we would.
Celebrating a big birthday for my wife I paid to stay in a suite in this hotel having done research our expectations were high. Position of hotel is good along with views if you are lucky to get a room with one. However all goodwill was lost when arriving for pre dinner drinks at the bar on a Saturday night there was nobody around. Twice I had to go in search of staff just to serve us a drink. Others guests experienced the same, not what we expected. Our food was very mediocre, expensive and accompanied by a very expensive bottle of wine there being no other choice. On both days at breakfast we had to ask for more pastries in the self help area and the rest of the breakfast offerings were very basic. We left a notice on our door handle for the room to be serviced but nothing had been done on our return nor any note left explaining why. For us the worst experience was a constant smell of cigarettes coming into our room at all hours of the day and night. This is supposed to be a no smoking hotel. At checkout I was charged for breakfast which we had prepaid but the receptionist argued with me saying “ that everybody pays for breakfast “. She eventually went to the office behind to return saying yes it had been prepaid but no apology offered for her attitude towards me. This hotel plays on its position with views over the Seine valley and its link to a royal birth. In fact this is the only original part of the building - a small damp dark room and if that is what you want then stay. However the aloofness and arrogance of most of the staff makes this venue an expensive mistake for many to stay there. Getting a reply from the hotel manager M.Mornas after a six day wait he made apologies but offered no reason for the above basic problems. My suggestion of a discount on what we had paid went without any further reply reinforcing my view of the arrogance of the hotel staff. Coming from a background in the travel industry where I have stayed continuously in hotels worldwide for over forty years I feel I am very qualified to make comment. There are many other hotels at a lower cost with much better service to choose from, I suggest you steer clear of this hotel and stay elsewhere.

Location is excellent and quite. Hotel is OK and but a little bit outdated. The shower facility needs to be checked (leaking water). Breakfast is correct. The staff could be friendlier. Seems not motivated.
Visited for a week with a Scottish Hockey team, who were playing in a tournament nearby. Very friendly welcome from staff at reception at checking in. We had a luvly clean, spacious double studio with a luvly view overlooking the roof with bee hives, tram line, and parking area out front of Hotel. We had to ask reception re our room not being cleaned after our first night, to be told it would be cleaned on Sunday (booked Wednesday to Wednesday) We had to ask the luvly friendly helpful Maria on reception to help us out with bin liners, toilet paper, and towels which she did with a smile, I cant understand why not done daily. But an idea would be if not being cleaned daily, leave extras to cover this time. We and our team enjoyed breakfasts, for us fruit juice, croissants, scrambled egg, tea/coffee, but yoghurt, cereal, fruit, breads, cheese was enjoyed by team mates. A couple of long tables set up for us , as we tended to eat all together, well set up with staff replenishing etc when necessary. Our team also enjoyed a beer or two while meeting up before going out nearby, again, nice friendly (reception ) staff serving us. Spacious seating area as at one time two teams could by meeting up all together. The luvly Spanish maintenance man was friendly, he was doing some work beside where we were sitting one day, so he always said hola when he saw us in passing. The location here is ideal, a supermarket next door, a 25 minute walk into the square for restaurants cafes etc, a 5 minute walk across tram line for a sushi and a pizza place, tram line outside, a very nice area, thoroughly enjoyed our stay :) :)
If you are searching for a place to stay just outside of Paris look no further. The attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere of a forest enclosed hotel made our excursion for the 2024 Olympics absolutely amazing. Being able to escape the hustle and bustle of the Olympics while still being within striking distance of our next venue was a blessing for my kids 10 & 12 , Mom 84 and my wife and Me. We can not wait to return. The on site restaurant had a first class wine selection in addition to a menu that shifted with market availability and quality twice over the course of our week long stint making repeat meals an easy choice. Even if you can not spend the night try and stop in for a meal you will not regret it.
A new hotel is very well organized super-home and very convenient not very far from Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Versailles ideal for visiting the castles around it in addition to a very well-freely Lyonian bouquets the Porc Matly , a very good stop for a small weekend
Motel with basic rooms. If you are familiar with American Motels you know what this looks like: Two stories, with exterior access to every room, and an exterior stair case to the upper floor. Rooms are small, but come with a desk by the window and two small chairs. Bed is comfortable. A/C works great. It's kind of out of the way. It's a 20 min walk to the train station.
Coincidence is the spice of life! I happen to read a small write up on Elle magazine about this place, on the same day I was invited to do hike at the amazing forest at Saint- Germain-en-Laye, so I figure why not spend the night. This lovely Chateau does not disappoint, beautiful entry, easy ride from the train station and right by the forest. François was most welcoming and took us to the outstanding library while we waited for our room to get ready. They had a complimentary refreshments available which made us feel right at home. Ours was probably the entry level room, but is was fresh, modern and a decent size, with excellent bed and bedding, and luxurious robes provided for our stay. Bathroom was fresh and bright with great shower and deliciously soft towels. Dinner was very good, though dessert needs a little work. The breakfast buffet was lovely, and the Jura coffee machine was definitely a huge plus. Thank you for the special attention given, by I believe the chef. We loved the vibe and the excellent warm service given by the staff. I will most likely return.
