Find the Cheap Oberhausbergen Hotels

Reason for poor service. Room service ordered through portal, confirmation received through portal and email waited for over half an hour after requested time messaged restaurant twice no response. Then messaged front desk inly then to receive a call to say no room service that night an to come down to the bar if I want to. We had travelled for many hours and just wanted to relax in our room. So we did not bother with any refreshments. I think you may need to look this, it’s not good to let guests order and get confirmation for a service you are not providing that day. Maybe look at your processes.

We chose this hotel for economic reasons. The fact that the only night staying and having a car was that it was not meaningful to spend the ”did” figures they ask in the hotels in the centre of Strasbourg, because the King Soleil is in the noise and if you don't have your own means, I would say that it is very unrecommendable: it is a four-star average, perhaps overpriced, but in Strasbourg it is so. It is excellent to park in garage for only 5 euros, but also wanting to avoid this small amount, The hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city, and the hotel is located in the heart of the city. We had left packs to be kept in a freezer, and had to store a low temperature medicine in a refrigerator bag. And no, lovely, you don't do that! I had made a reservation to spend one night at this hotel with my family (wife and two children). We needed two rooms for the four of us. We were expecting simplicity - but definitely not filthiness. When we got there, we found that on both rooms the floor was visibly dirty, the bed linen had body hair on it and the air in the rooms had a terrible stench. Honestly, it was a highly unhealthy environment. There wasn't even soap available in the shower room! We returned the keys, left the hotel, booked rooms in a different hotel and are now fighting to get our money back from Premiere Classe Strasbourg Ouest - we should really demand compensation as we had only a few hours to enjoy in this wonderful city and a couple of them were spent dealing with this. Still, I am happy we left - we would have woken up with some respiratory disease or skin rash at the minimum the following day. Stay away from this place!

We stayed here for two nights and overall had a pleasant experience. Breakfast was adequate - not as good as some of the hotels in the chain, but serviceable. Really Good croissants! Parking is a bit of a mess. We arrived after 8pm both nights and got the last parking spot. Not sure what happens to those arriving later. Air conditioning worked well - important when it is ＞33 out! Biggest letdown was the internet though. Something really wrong with it. We had the last room in the hall and the connection strength was under 5mbs. Ping times to the router in the hotel were over 200ms. Even when working, would cut out for minutes at a time. With a family of four and wanting to load some fresh videos for the next part of the road trip, this was really disappointing and not up to normal IHG standards. Frustrating for a family holiday, but if you need Internet for business, this would have been a deal breaker.

Only positive point of this hotel: a very friendly welcome both day and night. Otherwise: Old-fashioned rooms, without double glazing although located against a ring road. Avoid rooms ending in 13 to 17. The electronic lock of my room not working, despite a report made, was never repaired. It was necessary that each time the person of the reception comes to open me with his key. Practical… Some pillows and mattresses are completely smashed. The condition of the furniture is obviously not a priority. Colleagues had cockroaches in their rooms, some had immense difficulty switching from ”tap” mode to ”shower” mode via the selector that had to be lifted. There was even a room with the impossibility of switching to shower mode. Not very nice when you come back from a huge day of work at midnight. My toilets were dirty (see photo) and the toilet seat clip was broken. As for the breakfast, it is minimalist and of fairly average quality. I was lucky to have baguettes the first morning, then only tiny thawed rolls the next two (at 8am). Only one choice of tea: low-end yellow Lipton. Finally, it is unpleasant to be woken up early in the morning by the team of gardeners forcefully using their noisy tools such as hedge trimmers, blowers and other mowers.

The location is quite good. In a calm area and just 20 minutes to the center by public transportation. There is Super U supermarket nearby so it’s very convenient. The room was clean. Staff was friendly. However they could improve by providing bottle of water in the room which is an usual practise in every hotel. There wasn’t fridge inside the room. The bed was comfortable but the pillow was quite hard and thick. I had pain in my neck the day after. Anyway was good overall

Good experience except for the lack of WiFi during the last two days. Also a very unfortunate incident. When I ordered a bottle of white Châteauneuf du Pape, I was brought a bottle which had been opened earlier and whose cork had been replaced. Instead of having me taste it, the waiter served us (my wife and muself) a small quantity of wine and left us to our own devices. The wine was completely oxidized and undrinkable. When I complained, another waiter replaced the bottle. The first waiter then proceeded to remove the cork before us but almost poured some in the same glasses which contained the first one ! Only when we protested did he bring us clean glasses but still didn’t let us taste it. When I finally did, it was borderline oxidized but still drinkable. This lead me to believe the first bottle had been rejected by a previous customer and that the whole stock of Châteaneuf du Pape should have been returned to the producer.

Clean hotel room - quite small but it is a city based hotel. Excellent location to tram stop. About a 20mins walk into the city itself. About a 10mins walk to a supermarket. Only downside is the parking situation. Either on street parking if your lucky or paid whilst you stay here. The drop off zone is not very well organised, lots of parked cars and no staff to help/advise so we had to find a parking space first and then carry our luggage with our 2 year old too, not ideal. Staff friendly. Did not have the breakfast so can’t comment on that. Wouldn’t stay again because of the parking situation - too much of a negative for us. I guess its ok for a short stay like ours (2 days) but any longer would be difficult. If you’re not bothered about parking then it wouldn’t affect your stay!

Value for money. I recommend for a long stay if you are on tight budget. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. Much better than expected. You have a cooker, fridge and small kitchen also a wardrobe.
