The hotel is in a good location, opposite the old port of Marseille. A taxi from the train station costs about 10 Euros and it takes about 10 minutes. It is also close to the bus station. There are many choices of restaurants near the hotel, as well as tourist supplies stores selling Marseille soap. The hotel's breakfast options are not many, but the taste is ok. Except for toothbrushes and slippers, other toiletries are available in the room, as well as a kettle. The power conversion plug you bring cannot be used. You can borrow it at the front desk of the hotel and the credit card guarantees it.
There is a library in front of the hotel, which is suitable for customers to relax. Water and cookies are provided. Overall a very good choice.

When I booked, I was allocated a room in which there was a very extreme and unbearable smell of rot from the bathroom. Due to the volume of the bar and the harbor in front of the house, the window could not be left open. I pointed this out directly to the front desk, but didn't receive any help or even a message for several hours. It wasn't until I reported back to reception several hours later that I found out that the employee had finished his shift without notifying me or housekeeping. The new employee could no longer reach anyone due to the late hour. He moved us to the next room, but it had the same smell, but at least a bathroom door that could be locked. The next morning we canceled the stay and the receptionist promised us to refund the money for the remaining two nights (almost 400€!). This was almost three months ago and I have not heard from the hotel since. Except for one request, how I rate the stay. Here you have my answer. Apart from the problems described, the hotel is clearly overpriced for what it offers. The views from the rooms are fantastic, but that's about the only positive thing. Rooms are very small, noticeably worn even in the higher categories. The breakfast has only a very limited choice, at least we weren't shown any alternatives apart from bread, croissants, jam and coffee.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in August. Pros - the location is amazing - literally 14mins drive to Marseille. The car park is very spacious and free to use. The pool is very well maintained, clean and nice to use, pool towels provided from reception free of charge to use and return. The staff at breakfast are very friendly and the range is quite nice. Cons - it took 9 days from us reporting the fridge in our room not working for them bringing us one from a different room. The air conditioning barely works and the room was so warm! The staff on reception speak very limited English so often it is difficult to communicate if there are any issues. Although the breakfast provided is quite nice, it is poorly managed as things often run out (juice, bread, fruit) and either not topped up or often warm. The room we stayed in was clean but very old looking and not the typical Novotel style you would expect. The sink leaked our entire stay, often towels and toilet rolls were not replenished by the cleaning staff.

GGuest UserPrice is quite reasonable with quality breakfast and facilities. Location is very good. Near to city centre. Parking fee is not bad. But the hotel is very busy. No bath and hand wash gel for both of my two rooms, even I went to the reception to request, they marked the problem but finally ignored which made me a bit disappointed.

GGuest UserThe sanitation of the room is OK, but the service is not good. We arrived very late, there was no one to guide us, and we walked for a long time. The room number is in another area, and the gate is so high. In the dead of night, I feel a little like I can't go back. Each area of this hotel is separated by high gates. The next morning I got up and wanted to go out. I don’t know how to open the door. No one in the hotel told me. I used to like to live in the Intercontinental. Now that I look at it, the InterContinental seems too old in every way. Also the bed is too high for Europeans.

GGuest UserThis is the first hostel where I stayed that hasn't tried to cramp in as many beds as possible in one room. Hence, the rooms are very spacious and very comfortable. They have at least two bathrooms and one toilet. Everything is kept very clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hostel has a very nice location.
Thank you for making my stay in M****ille pleasurable.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very good quality/price for this apartment well located near the station, but also the old port and the old town of M****ille. We stayed there in couple for a week. The room with kitchenette is pleasant, The small balcony was one more. The staff was friendly and helpful. Note: Breakfast (15€/person) quite expensive; only one cym in the cart (a little straight), the mattress slightly stitched on one side.

RResort50737652851We chose this hotel given that it offers parking on site and it is well positioned, close to the port and other landmarks, but yet away from all the chaos and traffic. If you have high expectations and looking for North American standards of a 4 star hotel, this is definitely not the place to stay at. We spent most of the time touring the city and its surroundings, so we did not need many amenities and were not bothered with things that were missing or not working. Some of the high points of this hotel were: location (residential and quiet area), onsite gated parking, very peaceful and you cold barely hear other guests, lots of nice trees and plants around the property, comfortable bed, outdoor pool, beach/pool towels, wardrobes and slippers are provided, good wifi, mini fridge stocked with water and pop, very helpful and friendly staff. The low points were: getting to the hotel can be a bit tricky as the entrance is not marked properly. You have to turn into Rue des Flots Bleus to access reception - parking is right behind the gate in front of the reception. Streets are very narrow and bigger cars can be challenging to manoeuvre. We arrived at 5:30 pm and our room was still not ready. We opted for Privilege room, but is was extremely small and dark (ground floor). Wardrobe was size of a kitchen cabinet and there was no space for suitcases. There was no work desk, but only a small round table and one chair. Shower and sink drainage was not very good and there was a very odd smell. There was no iron/ironing board in the room. Some of the lightbulbs were not working. Pool/beach towels could not be changed for clean/dry ones. Breakfast was a bit limited. Scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon were served from very small pans and would not get replenished regularly. There were many pigeons landing on outdoor tables and chairs. Coffee served outside breakfast hours is not free. Pool loungers are limited and by the afternoon they are all taken. The grounds could be kept in the better shape. We would not recommend this hotels for longer stays.

One of us hadn't paid, another was doubly charged and not one of the three of us had our key card sorted so we all had to get back to reception to fix this. Fortunately the rooms were all lovely, other staff were great, especially Meahdi, who was SO patient. The lift - is antique. It only works if you close the inner door properly and many guests do not. So if you are on the 5th floor like we were... The bar is alcohol free... more a lounge but we were able to take our own wine in and glasses were happily provided. The breakfast is amazing! Lovely coffee, great people looking after you and lots of choice.

GGuest UserDespite other reviews, I have to note that staff was helpful (even in English, as I don't speak French). The apartment was spacious and has everything you might need for a short stay. It's located across the train station, however for a newcomer it's not that easy to reach it, you need to walk at least 10 minutes (if you're lucky and don't take a wrong turn). The apartment seemed clean at first sight, however there was dust in many places and the air-condition had a cigarette odor. Cleanliness is not the hotel's strong suit, as they tell you than they only clean the room after a week's stay (if you manage to stay there that long), they give you clean towels at an extra cost and they expect you to take down the garbage yourself (!). Combine this with the area's (next to the train station) lack of cleanliness and you get the picture. The bed was terrible, I had asked for a double bed and they stuck two single beds together.....Pillows were too soft. Breakfast was mediocre, with very few and low quality choices, the breakfast room was too small. In conclusion, the price I paid was way too much for what it had to offer. Hopefully, I only had to stay there for one night.

Furthermore, they were very unfriendly. I had already stayed in the same chain in Dijon, but this sister hotel was much better (i.c. cleaner and friendlier). I would therefore suggest to not go to this hotel under no circumstances.

GGuest UserI had to book 2 night accomodation at short notice, this was a basic accomodation only.. There was no telephone between my room & reception in a large block of flats. The paper system at reception took a messge from my friends (my mobile phone had been stolen) but that messge never reached me, there was never a note on my door in the block of flats. The cooking pot was for 4 or 6 peopple, there needs ot be one at a size for just 1 or 2 people as it was a twin room. The bed(s) were board beds with a single mattress only on top. It was more suited to people with cars as there was parking & it was near the A50 route.. But I was on public transport & it took at least 30 minutes to get to the twon centre. To be fair,it was quiet & there was greenspace nearby. I would only book this place again if there was nowhere else to go.

GGuest UserRecently stayed here at 50Euro per night, The hotel is located a stone's throw away from Vieux-Port in a side street, hence giving you access to town centre, the metro. With a tiny and almost hidden entrance the hotel, its easy to miss. From the rooms you can hear the hustle and bustle even at night however I like this kind of sound and slept with the windows open. The staff were absolutely fantastic (thanks to the 2 gentlemen and 1 lady) and was manned 24 hours per day. The rooms itself are small and quite basic, and not suited to families, but for single or couples looking for a place to stay. You would consider this a budget hotel without any luxuries at 50 Euro at night, id say its fair value. Thanks for the great stay, staff and location made it great
