In this new designation, the Grand Hotel de lOpera tribute to its talented tenants who only had to cross the street to perform on stage at the Theatre du Capitole.
In 1980, the amazing building is refurbished as a sumptuous 4 Star boutique hotel combining the mobility and the charm of Toulouse mansions.
Ever since, the reputation of the Grand Hotel de lOpera is established. Our hotel continues to warmly welcome guests from all over the world.
In 1996, a fire destroyed no less than 36 rooms. Two years later, Rouleau Hotellerie acquires the Grand Hotel de lOpera, gives it a fully new direction and restores the hotel to its full splendor.
The interior design was magnified by Elisabeth Drapeau.

Hotel is located just a block from the metro. Convenient to center of town and the university. The staff, especially Carmen, were wonderful. The room is more than adequate - lots of space - a desk and a table. The breakfast was very good also. Very clean and secure. Kitchenette - which was nice to have.

GGuest UserGreat stay at this hotel. We were given a very large room which had a spacious wardrobe area and large bathroom (no bath). There were two small balconies to walk out on to see the side street, but this was quiet when the doors were shut. It was 38 degrees outside but cool in the room with the air con. Beds were fairly small but we were only staying overnight before onward travel so did not mind. Staff were very pleasant. Mainly it was REALLY clean which for the price and early check in time is amazing.

GGuest UserIt’s very well located with good offers. We had a nice double room however the pillows weren’t the best at all. The bed itself I thought was very comfortable. I loved the shower. I didn’t like that they want to hold funds on your card in case you get breakfast or something else.

Aanne1234The room was soundproofed, although it was a house facing the street, and the outside sound was basically not heard after closing the window. Breakfast is OK, there is freshly squeezed orange juice. There is no small refrigerator in the room, but the hotel let us put the things we bought in the refrigerator in their kitchen, which was very intimate. The staff is kind and courteous.
There is no hot water in the room.

Smiling, hot, preventive, listening, available staff; comfortable, clean, personalized room with air conditioning, all white corridor and lobby, wooden frames suspension decor, All this gives warm and a certain charm to the hotel, rooms with view or access to the patio, very comfortable bedrooms, additional cousins, cleanliness, quiet hotel, continental breakfast with good invoice; small bemol: room service not always top: 1 single wallpaper in a double room, no gobelet, all this claimed at the reception, that the room is not completely made every day doesn't bother us, but forced to ask to toilet paper on 4 e days, In the heart of the city, the hotel is very comfortable and very well located.

AAnonymous UserHotel quite well located, professional welcome, unfortunately the state of cleanliness of the rooms is not perfect.. we realize that there are big black stains on the duvet if we remove the cover and I do not even want to know where it comes from. Also, poor insulation regarding noise which is very disturbing when people come and go but it does not pose a problem at night. The big positive point: there is an air conditioner that can heat in winter and air condition in summer which is essential given the current weather conditions.
I will still come back to this hotel if I have no choice.

Very friendly staff in a great location. Hotel is old but full of character. The lift is very old and certain parts of the hotel show their age but it is clean and has all the facilities you could need. Our room was a Superior but quite small and the bed was a double rather than a king I think. The bed was comfortable. There was a small desk in the room with a chair and a stool but not much space on it. However there was a shelf over the bed. Round the corner was a wardrobe which contained drawers, shelves, a safe and a fridge so that was good. There were no hot drink making facilities in the room but you could get them in the lobby. The bathroom was compact. There was a shower over the bath which was very efficient but it was quite high for me to climb over the bath to get in. There was no space at all for wash bags so we had to put them in the wardrobe on a shelf. The lobby was reasonable but the lift was very small - only room for cases and one person. I liked the theming of the white bear. It was a reasonable value especially as the location was excellent with lots of restaurants very close by. We opted not to have breakfast. It was served in the basement and did not look that comprehensive for the price so we had breakfast outside of the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and most spoke adequate English. Quetien (? spelling) on the night shift was especially helpful and chatted in English. He also went out of his way to go to another hotel in the morning to get me a postcard of our hotel which he left for me at reception. I would recommend this hotel for a few nights but not for a week or more as I’d find it a bit too restrictive in size.

I have booked a night before our weekend out in Toulouse, fully paid via their authority page almost 3 weeks in advance and the money has been taken from my account and the reservation confirmed! Upon arrival the receptionist insisted that they did not revive any payment, showed him bank statement and the all related confirmed emails and on the end they made me double pay for the same room! In the following morning the manager was there and he confirmed that he can see my double payment, however they did not refund my money and insisted to me to deal with my bank... almost 30 days still waiting response, just stay a way from this place looks not legit and scammers! Another hotel (NH) near airport worth for ur money!
