Everything was good except the fact that has poor ventilation. No fan or A/c so feels quite sticky inside. However, staff, location and services really good. Requested to change room due to the noise from train and the manager was very helpful and lovely to assist. Would love to stay again but in winter
I don't think this level of hotel is at this price in Chamonix. The staff are kind and the rooms are clean. Wifi doesn't feel stressful. It is a little inconvenient that it is far from the center and there is no shop nearby where ski rental can be done. However, there is no problem because the bus stop is a 1-minute walk away.
We booked at the very last minute, just a few hours before we checked in on the day of our stay via **********. Reasonable price. We checked in on Fri 06Jan2023 and stayed through Sunday 08Jan2023 in room #12. Room #12 is a handicapped room so there was lots of space. On Sunday 08Jan2023 at check out we decided to stay one more night here but needed to switch rooms, our second room was #19, which had a great view. At check in Andrea was extremely helpful, without being asked she told us the bus schedule and marked everything on a map for us. She was very patient with us and answered all of our questions. We also ate at the restaurant at the hotel which was some of the best food we had during our time in Chamonix. The bartender/server Florin was phenomenal - genuinely kind, helpful and overall a wonderful human. He made our experience so good that we stayed the extra night at the hotel. Florin and Andrea made us feel at home, and were so kind. They gave us great advice on what to do in the area. The food at the hotel was amazing, during our stay we tried and LOVED everything. - Steamed mussels, Mussels tomatoes, lemon juice, chili white wine , parsley - Baked local Cheeses, From age des Clarines backed with white wine, served with boiled potatoes, local cured ham, salami, tomatoes and salad/ - Tartiflettes, Potatoes, lardons, onions, reblochon cheese, and cream. Served with a salad. ** Tartiflettes is a dish that originates from this area, so it was nice to try something traditional. It was my favorite from our trip. - Pasta carbonara - Pizza, Piccante, Sausage tomatoes, mozzarella, mix des polvrons, chorizo, hailer de Basslilic This hotel is located outside the downtown area, its easily accessible via a walking path or short bus ride. It has great views and access to outdoor activities. Also less than 5 minute walk to ski/ snowboard lift. Rooms were clean, good storage, comfortable beds, all the usual hotel stuff. But what really sets this place apart is the staff. We are so thankful that we stumbled upon this little gem

This is a GEM and so is Chamonix!!! Chamonix is in a narrow glacial valley directly below Mont Blanc (and you can easily see Mont Blanc and many of the alpine peaks easily and completely visible from the town). On the mountainside opposite Mont Blanc is the Auberge. Originally, we wanted to stay in town near the lift to Aiguille du Midi. Glad we did not. Chamonix is a busy tourist town, and the lift is also busy. Auberge du Bois Prin likely has the BEST VIEW in all of Chamonix of the Mont Blanc Range and peak. All its rooms face the mountain peaks. It has a dozen rooms. It looks like an alpine chalet, flower boxes and all – beautiful. Inside is clean, modern and mountain rustic. The room was very, very spacious as was the bathroom. Rustic, expensive looking. Beds are very comfortable. Windows looked out to the alps. From my bed I would go to sleep looking directly at Mont Blanc. We also had a balcony looking toward the alps. What more could you want!!! There was one problem, however, there is no air conditioning. Because the windows do not have screens, we had a choice between mosquitoes (yes, there are alpine mosquitoes) or overheating. The hotel was quick to provide a fan which helped greatly. Was surprised that in the morning when I stepped onto the balcony it was cold despite the overheated room. There is an elevator in the hotel to assist with luggage. Breakfast was served on an outdoor deck and in a nice indoor space. Everything was fresh and great but how can you go wrong with continuing a view of the alps and Mont Blanc. The hotel staff and serving staff in the restaurant were more than outstanding. The restaurant is a Michelin star rated restaurant for dinner. The town buzzes with tourists, a variety of restaurants, bakeries and ice cream stands and so much more. Parking is just enough for those staying at the hotel (and it is free). One can walk into town by way of steep streets. A mile or less. One more thing; the photos of the hotel placed by management DO LOOK EXACTLY LIKE what you get - unreal beautiful!
Located in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, Le Jeu de Paume is in the mountains, within a 10-minute drive of Chamonix - Planpraz Ski Lift and Aiguille du Midi Cable Car. This golf hotel is 6.6 mi (10.7 km) from Sea of Ice and 9.2 mi (14.9 km) from Bellevue Cable Car.
After a day on the slopes, enjoy recreational amenities including an indoor pool and a hot tub. This hotel also features complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and babysitting (surcharge). You'll be on the slopes in no time with the complimentary ski shuttle.
Satisfy your appetite for lunch or dinner at Le Rosebud, a restaurant which specializes in Regional cuisine, or stay in and take advantage of the room service (during limited hours). Wrap up your day with a drink at the bar/lounge. Buffet breakfasts are available daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM for a fee.
Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A train station pick-up service is available for a surcharge.
Make yourself at home in one of the 23 guestrooms featuring minibars. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Private bathrooms with bathtubs or showers feature complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Conveniences include phones, as well as desks and in-room massages.
Nice hotel with good service. Super central. We came to escape the heat wave with family, but with no air conditioning, it was still pretty warm… I booked on the telephone (in French) and reserved for adults and children, specifically because the hotel has a pool. I asked about the pool and Spa hours too. WARNING: they did NOT tell me on the phone that children are not allowed in the pool and spa - (only 1030-1230) - but since checkout is at 11, that means basically not at all if you only stay one night. I understand the rules, and the reason why they don’t want a noisy spa, but they should have made this VERY clear up front. So recommend this hotel for adults only. Families with children should stay somewhere else.
Recommend this hotel in Xiamuni, Grande, just a few minutes walk from the cable car station on the central street of the town. But the reason I recommend is not the location, it is a rare hotel with good hardware conditions, the service is so decent and attentive. Because the hotel is in the center, many streets in Xiamuni are limited to cars, and many sections are narrow and one-way. I called the hotel yesterday after a few roads were fruitless. The service staff gave me GPS coordinates very clearly and guided me all the way to the hotel's private parking lot. Let the staff pick me up. After arriving, very intimate introduction, chat, when asked if I want to book a local delicious dinner, I said, no need, I want to control the weight... The front desk lady humorously self-deprecating said, oh, how many food you are like us French women, missed! Ask me where I came from when I checked in? Say Beijing is a big city, we have 10,000 people... Knowing that I am going to the SPA and intimately draw a map for me to go back to the room to rest and change clothes. This morning, when the hotel service staff brought me Omelette and coffee, looking at the plate and pull flowers, this is really the most sincere I have ever eaten in the buffet breakfast, I feel that every minute is treated with comfort, this service is the best experience! The hotel decoration style is also my favorite old-fashioned, but it is also bright, dry, with a beautiful terrace to see the snowy mountains.
Nice clean, quirky hotel. I enjoyed my stay here, good room with a balcony facing the river and an excellent view of Mont Blanc. Close enough to the bars restaurants and shops but equally tucked out the way too. Good breakfast too, lovely outside terrace next to the river, the only reason I didn’t give a five star was due to the sauna being closed apparently it only opens in the winter season so I was unable to use it, and that was one of the reasons I picked it so slightly disappointed
My stay at The Les Grands Montets was exceptional. The hotel is decor is in a quintessential Alpine style, which made it feel super warm and cozy. It felt more like I was coming home, instead of staying in a hotel! I was always warmly greeted by reception, and all of the staff I interacted with were extremely welcoming and kind. They were ready to help with any questions I had regarding buses to trains to walks and restaurants. They truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as perfect as could be. My room was a large chalet style with a balcony facing the Mont Blanc mountain range. I took some time to make sure I enjoyed the fresh mountain air while being mesmerized by the beautiful winter wonderland views. There is ample closet space and the bathroom is large with good storage. The only downside was that my bed was a lot more firm than I am used to, but I used an extra duvet and it solved the issue decently. I did not come here to ski, but there is the Les Grands Montets ski lift/slopes right behind the hotel, so ultra convenient for those hitting the slopes. The town of Argentière is about a 10-15 min walk with some great cafes, supermarket, sports shops, and the convenient train that runs into the center of Chamonix. Overall, I had a great experience at The Les Grands Montet and I would highly recommend this charming and hospitable hotel if you are visiting Chamonix Mont-Blanc!
Hotel Aiguille du Midi is located below the Bossons glacier to the right of the Aiguille du Midi and the left of Mont Blanc and offers a stunning view of both. The hotel has been in the same family for five generations and continues to be run by family members, and has been continuously expanded and modernized over the past 120 years. My room was a superior room for a single or a couple with Mountain Views and although small was comfortable and included a small en-suite shower bathroom. The hotel has a small spa area with a jacuzzi and sauna available at no extra charge with pre booking. Two game rooms are available as well as a ski storage room and boot dryers. Half board is well worth taking as the breakfast buffet is extensive and the excellent dinner includes an appetizer (generally a soup or some traditional item) and a single main course (I enjoyed roast lamb, fish, veal escalope) followed by a cheese course, and then a large assortment of desserts. Dinner can be preceded or followed by cocktails etc in the bar room. Although the hotel is outside of Chamonix the town can be readily accessed by the #1 bus every 30 minutes and it also takes you to the Flagere ski area. Alternatively the train from Chamonix stops at Bosson station providing a useful option for transportation every hour. If you are planning to ski the Valle Blanche you would take the bus in to Chamonix Aiguille du Midi, have a great ski day and then take the train back to Bosson as the Montenvers train station is next to the Chamonix station. So if you want a quiet location outside of Chamonix center with high quality service and comfort, do give Hotel Aiguille du Midi consideration.

This is a clean- cheery and fun hotel! A very good rate- awesome staff and food! The location is convenient as well- a perfect place for a family or couples stay - little bowling alley Board games- pleasant surprises everywhere-they even had parking!
We had the BEST experience here!!! The help who works here are so lovely! Mohammed actually gave us a ride when we didn't realize the bus schedule had changed getting back into Italy. He even helped check us into our new hotel because we don't speak Italian! He has amazing language skills! Agustina was right in front of us on the bus and heard us trying to figure out where to get off. She offered to help us and walked us right up to the hotel. She was our server at the restaurant and gave us suggestions for a hike. She is so personable and we just really enjoyed her! Those are the memories that stay with you on a new adventure!!!
GGuest UserThere is a full set of kitchen utensils to satisfy the Chinese stomach. The hotel is very close to the bus station. It takes 5 minutes to walk. The bus ticket is more expensive than the current purchase.
FFeebee0801We chose to stay here due to its location to the Chamonix town centre. After a long drive from Avignon, we arrived late afternoon. Unfortunately all hotel parking was full, however a public car park was a short 2-3 minute walk away & reasonably priced for 24 hour parking. Check in was quick and easy, hotel staff were very friendly. We had a room on the top floor (8th access via stairs from the 7th floor) with an amazing view of the mountains. Our room had everything we needed for the three nights we stayed. The daily breakfast was delicious. The staff were very accommodating if we needed anything. Location is key in an area like this and it couldn’t have been better. Easy 2 minute walk into the centre of town. We didn’t ski while we were here, but did do some amazing hikes in the area. The day after one hike we booked in for an hour massage and used the spa/sauna facilities. The massage was very relaxing and again the staff were great. Unfortunately Chamonix was experiencing unusually high winds during our stay and all major tourist attractions were closed. The tourism office was a great help giving ideas on what else to do, seeing everything was closed. This was unfortunate, but the area is so beautiful. We will definitely be back.
Llea-maitLovely hotel in the city center. We weren't expecting much as the price is low compared to other hotel in chamonix, but everything was perfect. The room is clean and confortable, with balcony and view on the mountain, we had free access to sauna. Thanks to the location and the free parking, you Can just leave your car and use mecanic devices and bus. We would like to thank all the staff who were adorable and helpfull. Be sure we'll either come back or advise someone to go in that hotel.
We loved our 4 night stay at the Alpina Eclectic Hotel & Spa. Upon check in, we were upgraded to a balcony room on the 6th floor. Our room was good sized with modern decor and plenty of storage. Comfy bed with soft pillows, slept like a log. There is an area for clothes and cases tucked away behind the main bedroom to keep the room tidy. Separate toilet and bathroom was a bit odd as you have to go into another room to wash your hands but it was fine and we got used to it! Bathroom comes equipped with hairdryer, hand wash, shampoo and shower gel, very nice scent. Reception are happy to provide more toiletries if needed. We used the nespresso coffee machine each morning and the housekeeping staff kept the pods replenished throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the complementary one hour spa session per day. Robes and slippers are provided in the room. The heated ski room was fantastic too. There is a cafe onsite to grab some lunch/drinks and a bon bon sweetie bar in reception to help yourself to a treat on the way in/out of the hotel. The hotel is in a great location with ski bus stops just outside and lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Ski hire shop onsite as well. Staff are friendly and willing to help with any questions or recommendations. We would not hesitate to stay in the Alpina next time we are in Chamonix.
GGuest UserI booked this charming chalet boutique hotel through my bank as they have a cashback offer on hotel stays and this was one of the hotels in Chamonix that had availability, was open during summer and had parking onsite. We went their with my friends last August to escape the provençal heat and we booked a Family room. Normally the family room is for 2 adults and 2 kids so we called them up to confirm if it is ok to room 4 adults. We had to call twice as they had customers checking out but the lady who assisted us was very nice and helpful and told us that it was not a problem. I am not sure if this is just because it was summer and normally a low season for them or if this is their actually policy, so double check first with them. As indicated on the other tripadvisor reviews, this hotel is located beside the greens of the Chamonix golf club and is on the outskirts of Chamonix so you would either need a car or take public transport. This was not an issue for us as we came with our car and we preferred not to be right in the center where parking could be expensive and difficult. Upon arriving, the public parking outside the hotel was full so we asked the receptionnist to give us access to their private paid parking. Good thing that there were still some spots left as it was not a huge parking and could probably just fit less than 10 cars so I suggest that you try to book it in advance before your stay, especially if you are going there during the peak season. The lobby and reception area had a warm ambiance and exuded a homey charm. The receptionnist was very friendly and patient, very helpful and had a smile on her face. She handed our keys eventhough we arrived a little early and told us about the spa and gave us information on how to get to the center by public transport which we really appreciated. The family room was located on the ground level and was spacious enough for a short stay. It was clean, functional, well maintained eventhough you can smell a bit of humidity in the air and had a spacious balcony overlooking the golf course. The room also had a spectacular view of Month Blanc. Unfortunately, the room had no airconditioning, but since we are near the mont blanc, it wasn't that warm especially if you opened the windows. Also, since the hotel is not near the center, it was peaceful and there was not much noise when you do open the windows. The room had all the amenities of a 3 star property and the beds and pillows were ok and were comfortable enough for a short stay. After leaving our luggages, we went out to go to the center of chamonix to catch the Montenvers train which led to the Mer de glace, the longest and largest valley glacier in France. We decided to leave the car and took a bus instead as the bus stop was around 5-8 minutes walk away from the hotel. Since we got back to the hotel late, unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the jacuzzi as it was already closed after dinner so we just went straight to our rooms and slep
GGayeongThe location was perfect as it was close to the bus stop. (It was especially convenient because we arrived at Chamonix by bus early in the morning and departed early in the morning.) Also, the Aigi du Midi cable car platform is right in front.
In addition to the location, the breakfast was delicious, all the staff were friendly and the service was good.
This is a hotel that offers reasonable prices and services.
Thanks to you, I leave Chamonix with pleasant memories.
8808PaulSSSSAbsolutely fantastic. Wasn’t expecting so much from what was classed as a 3-star hotel. I’ve stayed in 5-star hotels that weren’t as good as this one. Staff were always super friendly and very helpful. Even gave advice on ski resorts. Food wonderful also. Location brilliant. Super clean. Very comfortable. I actually don’t think I’ve stayed at a hotel were I can honestly say everything was perfect… EVER! Truely a brilliant hotel. Highly highly recommended. Will definitely be back.
GGuest UserAnother great stay. Rooms are basic, staff are friendly, breakfast is excellent, location couldnt be better. Top tip, use the free ski bus passes the hotel give you to use the train for free rather than the ski bus. The train is far more comfortable, less busy, and quicker. The train leaves chamonix Station, which is a straight and flat 350m walk from the hotel at 0828, 0928 and 1028, continuing on the hour. For Le Tour get off at Vallorcine and take the gondola up the mountain, 2 min walk. The train returns from here at 10 past the hour. For Argentiere it's a 400m easy walk to the grand montets lift from the station. For flegere and brevent get off at la praz, it's 150m from the station to the flegere lift. We've been to chamonix many times but never used the train, it's massively improved our trip. Game changer.
