The hotel has a very good location and is very comfortable and very comfortable. The event we attend ( the great Alberto Contador fund ) was super well organized in the hotel and having it all next to it was very easy to access all the events. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city centre and is very comfortable and comfortable. The truth is that everything was very good. Very happy with everything. Thank you very much.

We stayed a few nights in Borgia when in Gandia. Prior to arriving, the hotel was responsive to queries, though only in Spanish! Location was excellent, around 15 mins walk to the train/ coach station & near the main promenade, with easy access to dining options. The hotel facade & lobby itself looked nice but the room was a bit worn, especially the table tops which were peeling & off putting. It was great to have a balcony facing a few bars & cafes but it was a tad noisy at night so thankfully we had some ear plugs. There was ample storage space but the desk surfaces & drawers were quite dirty, as if they hadn't been cleaned. There was a fridge in the hotel & a safe in the wardrobe but no key. A bottle of water was given compliments of the hotel on the first day. Toiletries were in small bottles which was not environmentally friendly & they didn't replenish these on the second day so we had to request some at reception. The person at reception didn't speak English so we had to rely on Google translate 😁 Breakfast was served from 7am on weekdays & 8am on weekends. There was a selection of hot & cold food, fruit, yoghurt, pastries & bread. The hot food was lukewarm to cold & wasn't anything exciting but the chorizo, fried eggs & chilli peppers were welcome. The fruit looked like they were abandoned & were mostly not neatly sliced like some pictures suggest. They were often bruised & the sliced pineapple looked like it was almost off when it was served, with black & brown spots at the edges. Pastries like the croissants were soggy rather than crisp; bread rolls weren't bad, & the peach jam was lovely. The toaster took forever to brown anything & coffee didn't taste great. Juices tasted more like cordials. In short, breakfast wasn't great but we did manage to fill ourselves up before our daily excursions. All in all, the stay at Borgia was good. It provided a good base for us as we explored the area. There are other accommodation options at the beach area but the base in the centre allowed us easy access to transport to Denia & when we travelled from & returned to Valencia.

Una grata sorpresa visitar el Hotel Porto,ha destacar la limpieza impecable dándole un toque de luminosidad a todo el hotel ,comida muy bien elaborada y sus trabajadores encantadores ,te hacen sentir como en casa.La terraza del último piso muy agradable con una zona de bar acogedora en la otra parte una piscina (donde quedan unas fotos chilísimas por la iluminación en la noche ) áreas de sofás,alfombras ,luces solares y una mecedora que coordinan muy bien en su conjunto,En resumen muy recomendable para desconectar tanto en familia ,pareja o amigos.

Espectacular en relación calidad precio. Las camas cómodas y las habitaciones muy limpias. En recepción la atención es inmejorable. Muy buena experiencia para lo económico que resulta, además está muy cerca de la playa y de la zona de ocio de Gandía

Highly recommend this hotel, we stayed for 10 nights and had a junior suite with full sea view. Facilities are fantastic and the staff are incredible and so welcoming. We also used the Spa within the hotel and it was fantastic, the staff are attentive and experienced - as are all the staff and Senator Gandia Hotel. We had breakfast buffet and all items on offer (there is plenty to choose from) were fresh and replenished for the entire breakfast time duration (which is 4 hours). Not only are the rooms cleaned everyday (if you choose) there was also a night time turn down service, which really made getting into bed special - an attention to detail that did not go un-missed. Location of the hotel is perfect, walking distance from the beach - which were beautifully kept - offering many different services. A many restaurants to choose from and everyone we met were so welcoming. It was lovely to be able to experience a real bit of Spain. If you park at the hotel there is an additional charge (maybe this could be looked at by the hotel and offer half price for 5+ days stay). Parking is very difficult to find on the streets around the hotel so to be able to park within the hotel car park meant that the car was safe at all times and allowed unloading and loading of the car easy; and you could come and go as you please (guaranteed parking, which gives another thing not to worry about when your on holiday). We will definitely be returning to the Senator Gandia Hotel & Spa - thinking 14 nights next time 😆 we loved it so much 🧡 Thank you to every staff member at Senator Gandia Hotel & Spa, you made it a very special stay for us - especially since it was 7 years since we had been on a proper holiday. 5 star service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My main issue with this hotel is that it gives an entirely false image of itself on hotel booking sites. We picked it based on the pictures of its pool area and grounds. The images give the impression that it's a larger and a more chic hotel than it actually is. It's a no frills hotel, and that's fine if that's what you know you're getting. And it was not the cheapest option either. The location is good, just three streets from the beach, and it was clean but the breakfast is basic and not very appealing. Not worth booking in for breakfast. It says that it has a gym, it does not. It claims to have poolside parasols, well at one end of the site it does but actually by the sun loungers it's bare and exposed and nothing to help shade you - not great when it's hitting 40. It also claims to have a garden - again it does not - it has a couple of planters with a couple of palm trees. The room we had was basic but fairly clean. The bathroom lacks shelving and towel hooks, so not very practical for a family - there's little space to hang up wet swim stuff or put your toiletries. Also, be aware that if you have small children there is not a separate pool - there is a shallow section at the end of the main pool and it's not very large so again not the most practical space and it gets very busy. Twice I raised the difference from the booking site information and the reality with the reception - but all I got was first, someone being rude and the second time someone just looking embarrassed! If you are looking for a basic space to just sleep in while you explore Gandia, and you get it at a reasonable price, then fine. However, if you want a hotel you can hang out in then I would avoid it.

Spent a week there with my husband and my young daughter. We paid for all three meals that does not include any drinks. The Spanish tables were served tap water in a jug. We were only offered bottled water for a fee. The wine is cheap and not very nice so don’t bother paying for it. The food is ok but the selection is very limited and if you are a vegetarian you could easily end up not eating much. Service was very average and they don’t speak English. In fact, they make it clear that they look at you as a walking wallet and have no time and respect for you. We got the smallest room in the hotel while it was rather empty. The view was to the next door neighbour’s bathroom window combined with the view of a dirty backstreet. The room was clean and the cleaner greeted us with a smile. That was nice. The pools are tiny and the “spa” means that you have a steam room. The gym is a joke and the hotel lounge seats are uncomfortable. The hotel entertainment is unbearable. The roof top bar is actually really nice and they play lovely live music and the view is spectacular. By the time you add up all costs, you are better off going 4star all inclusive somewhere else.

One of my sons and I stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in June. It is a hotel mostly visited by spanish guests, we saw and talked to a french couple, but other than that spanish families and elderly couples. The highlight of the hotel would be in my opinion the food. It was excellent: fish everyday, salads, mexican food, indian food, paella, humus, fruits, they also had soya milk or free lactose milk. My birthday was in one of the days spent there and they surprised my with champaigne and a small cake. I really appreciated this gesture, it was very thoughtful of them. Muchas gracias! The room we received was on the first floor, facing the pool and the parking lot, with 2 huge beds. Clean and cleaned every day. The hotel is about 3 minutes walk from the beach. I have seen sandy beaches before, but smaller, this was really large and with smooth sand. What I didn't like at all was that the other guests with kids didn't care that their kids were really loud, screaming at any time of day and night, of course this was not the fault of the hotel, but maybe they could have been reminded that they were not alone in the hotel. What I would recommend is that they think of some entertainment for the middle aged guests as well, now it seems to be done only for the kids and for seniors. All in all it was a really nice stay and I would go back.
