First visit to a Hard Rock Hotel and it met my expectations. Hotel is in a small resort, which we were aware of so we had a hired car for the duration of our stay allowing us to visit bigger resorts as and whenever we wanted. Had to pay €12 per day to use hotel car park. We usually stay in 5* at Playa Del Duque and have never had to pay to park. HRH is a money spinner, we were half board and found drinks were expensive. Lunch at Constant Grind also expensive albeit really great quality. Lots of entertainment throughout the day and evening, some better than others. Room was great - we were in a gold suite and can’t really fault it. Breakfast and dinner in the buffet was manic! Very very busy and like a school canteen, food was generally of good quality, however in the evening it wasn’t a relaxing and enjoyable experience. It was a case of eat and leave as soon as possible. Would I return? Probably not, however it seems lots of guests were returning customers.
This hotel is one of the best places we have ever stayed in, every inch of the place is perfect, immaculately clean, quiet, beautiful and relaxing. The interiors (which I believe have been designed and installed by the owner herself) are outstanding, personal touches everywhere. The staff are amazing, the food is beautiful, the swimming pool area is clean and there’s a lot of choice as to where you sunbathe around the main pool or around the roof pool area overlooking the golf course (we’ve spent our summer getting up early to snag a bed each), it’s just a fantastic place and I cannot recommend it enough, we’ve had a river villa with our own pool which we’ve used every day, we had an amazing bbq here last night around the pool with a lovely Spanish guitarist and singer, very romantic. The spa is amazing and the signature massage and facial was one of the best we’ve ever had, 10/10 from us and can’t wait to come back
Fabulous hotel! Staff are amazing and the place runs like clockwork, especially considering the amount of customers they're catering for. The food is ok. Lots of fresh fruit and veg. As a vegan my daughter generally ate well although some days were better than others. Some days there were even vegan cookies and cakes. What they do need is a vegan spread. My daughter ate dry bread and toast all week. Also a vegan yogurt and ice cream option would be good. The food allergen labelling was brilliant. Big shout out to Imed, great chef! All the staff are super friendly and efficient. The pools are beautiful and having an adults only pool was genius. Made it so tranquil and relaxing. Loved that there was no smoking around any of the pools or bars. Well done! So many holidays are ruined with people puffing all over you. The walk down to the pools is steep so not ideal if you have mobility issues. The room was small but modern. Bath towels were too small which was odd as the beach towels were the right size! TV channels were all in Spanish so we didn't watch it at all. The evening entertainment needs alot of work and frankly didn't warrant staying for. However the neon party was phenomenal! Bloody loud but exceptional. Overall a beautiful hotel and relaxing holiday. Loved the all inclusive. Will come back.

We’ve just returned from seven days of heaven, what an amazing holiday we all had. My husband and I took our adult kids with us, aged 22, 19 and 18. Each one of us said it was the nicest hotel, most accommodating staff and fantastic food that we’ve had in an all inclusive hotel. When we checked in we were given a glass of champagne to welcome us, taken to our rooms, showed how all the gadgets in the room worked and felt very welcomed! We did all three al a carte restaurants and each one was fantastic, you really did feel that you were in a proper restaurant. But the food in the Central Market was lovely too! We were in a swim up room, which is sunny all morning but then goes into the shade. But it was welcomed as the sun can be deceivingly intense. Comfiest sun beds ever! Finally thank you to all the staff. They were all so friendly, professional and as I say just smile! Best smiles and teeth ever! Best holiday I’ve had in a long time - thank you to everyone there.

My Mum and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for 4 nights as part of her birthday celebration and it was perfect! The rooms are so comfortable and the bedding is sublime! The team who work there are so fantastic - nothing is too much trouble and ever so helpful. There are beautiful towels by the pool which don’t slip down and you get two as standard so not everything is wet when you get out! There is even suncream at the pool so you don’t have to bring your own! Wifi is brilliant throughout the hotel. Cocktails are beautiful, about 17-18 euros each but worth every penny! Absolutely delicious. My only criticism was the lack of food choices in the hotel by the pool - not a huge amount to choose from, very fish based (I don’t eat fish) and the service was a little slow for drinks but that could be the time of year. But there was fabulous popcorn cones and fruit kebabs which were shared in the morning which was great. When planning you’re trip, just be aware that there is nothing around without a taxi from this hotel - there’s some lovely local places nearby but you will need to get in a taxi. The beach area is incredibly well set up - the little train takes you there, there’s a full bar and restaurant, toilets, suncream and sun loungers. Overall it was a brilliant stay and would recommend the hotel for sure - would be even better once the refurbishments are done and there are a few more pools and the restaurant with a view is open again! Thanks for a lovely stay!

I stayed almost 3 weeks at Pensión Alcalá. I liked the cleanliness and tranquility of the rooms. There is a small fridge which is very handy. It's very clean and very quiet, the beds are comfortable. The ocean is only a few hundred meters away and in 10 min. by foot you arrive at the very pretty beaches of La Jaquita and the natural swimming pools. There are bars and restaurants close by as well as a shopping street and two supermarkets within a few minutes walk. Parking is very easy, there are plenty of free parking spaces.

CCarol HWhat a lovely aparthotel. Our large arge airy apartment was clean and comfortable, with amazing sea view and a spacious terrace with sunbeds and parasol. This is a small complex which meant there were always plenty of sunbeds available around the very clean and tidy pool, and the water maintained a lovely temperature. The harbour and beach were a 10 min walk away, and although the walk back is uphill it is quite manageable provided you have no mobility/health issues. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. The lovely lady on reception was aware that our sons were joining us part-way through the holiday and very kindly made sure that their apartment was next to ours. Dining options at the Klayman Diamond were very good, plenty of choice at breakfast and there were themed dining events during our stay which we thoroughly enjoyed. Waiter/pool barman Lorenzo was always cheerful and helpful, another great asset to this hotel. The only downside during our stay is that no courtesy room was available as the hotel was full and there are no other shower facilities available if you have a late check out but this was not enough to spoil our holiday. We all had a great time!

Extremely quiet area infact quite boring If you haven’t thrown your towel on a sunbed by 9am you won’t get one until after 5pm Food repetitive goat and bird salad not for us Restaurant is loud, manic absolutely no ambiance We went in every night and ended up eating out Definitely not a short walk to the beach, we never did find it !! Very expensive holiday almost 3k for one week half board. Then meals out on top of that. Hotel itself though is spotless and our room was very nice (deluxe sea view) Bed was very comfortable Check in a very long process Entertainment night time good we watched it from our balcony. Pity about the sun bed hogs, they were even putting their towels out one morning in the rain !! A lot of sun beds with towels on but no one in them. Plus side they have a separate smoking area so you are not breathing in second hand smoke. The area is extremely hilly and we are fit but after 4 days I was sick of climbing hills to go down them to climb another and so on. Definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues unless you are not going to leave the hotel. Was really looking forward to our holiday especially as the reviews are so good but we just didn’t find what others obviously did.
