Find the Cheap Aguadulce Hotels

A very ordinary apartment hotel. I was already there more often. This time the bedroom was quite narrow and I had no sea view. The hotel was very surprised full. The hotel has a good tapas bar with cheap offers. There are other bars and restaurants in the surrounding area with Spanish guests. Beach about 500m. There are only a few free parking spaces. Beautiful hotel located right in the port with an abundance of delightful restaurants and bars. We booked the junior suite with jacuzzi, rather disappointed as no sun loungers on our private terrace despite plenty of room to accommodate them. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, check in staff were wonderful however I strongly disagree with a €15 room service charge, even if you only want a glass of wine bringing to you. When you pay €250 a night I expect as a minimum to be able to order a drink to my room. We ended up walking to the bar next door, a 2 minute walk and spent €118 for a delicious lunch and drinks do the hotel is missing out on extra revenue because of this ‘ service ‘ charge policy. Surely in todays day and age you should be able to order extras without incurring a charge for a standard hotel service

Great location in the beach. Lots of nice restaurants and bars near by. Pleasant staff. Rooms needed to do what the did (a bed for the night) breakfast average. Was not there long enough to use the pool or the facilities. Would stay again as it’s a great base to travel to nearby areas. Almeria was about 20 mins in the car.

This was our first holiday with our 4 year old son. We looked at the reviews and noticed a few people mentioning that it was mostly Spanish holiday makers, that the staff seemed to focus on them and the English were left out. Well yes that statement is true it is, but it’s Spain what do you expect, we actually found the staff very friendly and spoke very good English, they included our son in most things, and where it was an activity that was complicated it didn’t seem to bother him that he couldn’t understand a word they said, as a matter of fact it was quite amusing watching three children of different nationality playing and talking to each other even though they didn’t have a scooby what the other was saying. The hotel itself was smart, and very clean, all staff went the extra mile to help. The food was delicious with a great variety for all tastes, even our son on his beige diet ate quite well. There were meat and fish options along with veg and salad, rice and pasta, and a selection of desserts including little tubs of ice cream. The pool area was really good and perfect for what we wanted, with different areas for different age groups, and conveniently if you have mixed ages it’s easy to position yourself to see both. The beach is nice but the water gets very deep very quickly, but little ones can still enjoy the water without getting out of their depth. It’s not really sand it’s more very tiny gravel, so depending on how you cope in bare feet, take something with you. Finally to the hotel manager, thank you for making our holiday such a special occasion, and thanks to the bar staff for putting up with my attempt at Spanish, they were very nice and friendly. Well deserved 5stars

There are only praises to say as opinions about this hotel, which is on the edge of the motorway.Rooms are new,the bed is enormously good as at home,certainly the decor is inexistent,the staff are laughing, The breakfast is in the average for the hotel category.Our GPS ,WAZE,GOOGLE ITINERAIRE did not indicate the way to follow then for future customers the hotel is at the exit 800 from the motorway in one direction or in the other.It is a good hotel To stay two or three nights. We stayed for 3 nights and played golf twice. The hotel looks quite grand when you arrive,and we had no trouble parking, although it’s low season. In high season I expect you would have difficulty finding a parking space outside, in which case you would have to pay to park in the hotel underground facility. Our room had a lovely view with a small balcony over the swimming pool. It was fully functional and clean, but pretty tired. The air conditioning seemed to have been set to winter mode, so the room was 25C. Maybe okay for Spanish guests, but far too hot for us. The chamber maids, maintenance man, then hotel Director all tried to rectify the problem, which was subsequently rectified the following day. We were offered a move to an apartment, but didn’t fancy that. The beds in the room were also too hard for us, and the maids put on toppers the second night which made them a bit softer. Breakfast was pleasant, standard fare. We didn’t have dinner, but ate in the bar, which again was fine. We sat out on the terrace one lunchtime in the sunshine, and I suspect the pool area is lovely in high season. One lunchtime, the hotel recommended a restaurant in Aguadulce, restaurant Mistela Gastronomia, which was excellent. Very easy and cheap to get a taxi there and back. We played golf twice. Both days were at the weekend, but the course was very quiet, and we were not paired with anyone else. Very unusual even in low season. The area, and course is very hilly, so I would recommend a buggy (unless you’re super fit). It’s a woodland course, which I found quite interesting and challenging. Any water features are dry at the moment. ‘Rustic’ is the description I would use to describe the course. The pro shop were very friendly and surprisingly well stocked with a variety of clubs. It’s difficult to see how the hotel has achieved 5 star status, but the place grew on us, as all of the staff were so friendly. Despite having to complain, everyone we came into contact with tried their best to help, and seemed to want us to have a nice time. Not sure we would return, but we had a pleasant couple of days.

Avoid if you are not multi cultural, going out of this hotel for anything is like being in a zombie apocalypse where nobody likes you or speaks English... In house is better but you are outcast by rude bar staff and Spanish entertainment all day. Entertainers do try but find comfort in there own and move on quickly. We were all inclusive (so we thought) 11am til 11pm is not all inclusive in my book, not being able to even get a coffee or cold drink before 11 is unacceptable, never experienced that all inclusive ever and Jet2 do not make this clear when booking. No drinks machines to even buy anything either, get some bottles of water and keep in fridge is my tip Bar Staff are rude and the quing is horrendous, with only 2 staff working i felt it a stalling tactic. Every drink have 4 large pieces of ice, another money saving tip from management? Ask for no ice and they look you up and down... Won't serve drinks in big containers, only small so you end up having 2 which leads to extra litter and over run bins around the pool. Why you can't vend cold drinks yourself would cure the waiting times... this is only available in the restaurant and not poolside, why? Main pool is dirty, maintenance spotted jet washing into pool and I didn't see anyone testing the very murky water prior to opening which is possibly why my family had a serious sickness bug which was very unpleasant and so did many guests we spoke to when leaving. Ive rated this hotel at 3 star as i feel 4 star this is not Dated in places although eating area is newly refurbished and our room to, beds were comfy TBF I would recommend upgrading room as the standard does not keep children in a separate room and therefore everyone is together in the room, 2 children sharing a double bed. Air con is very poor and integrated (not a spearate unit you can control) so you can't control it at all. Keep door shut, curtains closed and lights off all day is the best solution to keeping room cold, this needs doing all day and whilst sleeping - very uncomfortable Food OK, not much variety at tea time. Breakfast was best 👌 Be careful with the dodgy Spanish man in the arcade who likes to refuse prizes to your children as ”they have won enough” bearing in mind we probably spent 50 euro a day in there. When confronted... the kids got their prizes - very dodgy Slides were good, the beach and sea I wished we would have gone on more what put me off was you had to pay extra for sun beds (5 euro each), the breeze was nicer on the beach, the poolside was like an oven and uncomfortable at times, extra sun umbrellas 16 euro to buy and they are needed as little shaded areas. 30+ degrees everyday, another money spinner for the hotel. If managed better this hotel could be so much better, maybe its the Spanish way? I won't be returning Cheap and Cheerful holiday all in all, you get what you pay for I guess. Las fotos no le hacen justicia. Elegimos el apartamento de 2 habitaciones y nos sorprendió su amplitud, su limpieza y una gran terraza que daba hacia el mar. Todo un acierto ya que hicimos la reserva apenas 15 días antes. A pesar de estar lleno, se respiraba gran tranquilidad y la playa está apenas 5 min andando. Está muy bien ubicado, por los alrededores hay restaurantes, tiendas y un paseo marítimo con algunos bares. El aparcamiento es horroroso menos mal que los apartamentos contaban con aparcamiento privado. Lo recomiendo y volveremos.
