The hotel is located right in the centre of the old town of Aarhus, a stone throw from the Domkirke. There is no off-street parking available but you could always use the Navitas car park or even the amazing Dokk1 Parkering in the docks. The handsome stucco façade stands out in the locality and the owners took great care in tastefully decorating the interior of the building, that includes its historical elevator, wall paintings and the reception area. Therefore, it’s a bit of shame that the same has not been extended to ensure the comfort of its guests. Our Standard Room was overlooking the main square but it was rather dark and not very spacious, with a classic décor. The lighting was limited with the main switch not working – side lights had to be turned on individually. There was precious little storage space as only about a third of the wardrobe was available and no other appropriate closets/drawers around. There was a rather high step between the bedroom and bathroom, just ideal for tripping on, in the dark! The bed was quite uncomfortable, with a very thin foam mattress and topped with a smallish duvet. The TV set was on the side of the bed (!) and programmes were only available if you had a suitably tuned smartphone device. We’re all for the options being offered to tech-savvy travellers but surely there has to be easier access for those guests who are less clued-in? The bathroom was of standard size, with a walk-in shower. The hairdryer had to be plugged in by the mirror, above the bathroom sink (there was literally nowhere else to do so, with a mirror!), so not quite sure about the safety aspect of such an arrangement. Bathrobes and slippers were provided. There was a safe-box but it was not working despite the valiant efforts of one of the receptionist. WiFi signal was good. Tea and coffee facilities were offered as well as a frugally stocked minibar. No free water was available. The breakfast was quite limited with a minimal selection of cold dishes and even less cooked food, available. The bread was very tasty. The hotel doesn’t provide dinners. The staff in the reception and the breakfast room were very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. They couldn’t do enough for us and always responded with a smile. Overall, it felt like the hotel has lots of potential although lots of that seems to have been squandered on half-baked ideas. Good enough to stay in as long as you don’t expect fireworks.
We stayed at Kings Garden 1 in August. The location is on the top floor of an office building, and it is obvious the unit was renovated from a previous office space. Their listing specifically boasts an elevator available to use for a 4th floor unit. When we arrived, the elevator was not working. When we entered the unit, the floors were still completely wet from mopping. The kitchen area is an afterthought, with lack of storage space and items such as a cutting board or drying rack. There is no AC so we left windows open to keep the apartment cool, but there is a LOT of noise at night. However, one night there was a party next door in Daniel & Jacobs adjacent apartment, Kings Garden 2, that lasted from 11pm through the next morning past 10am. We could not sleep all night due to the loud music and noise from the party. When we contacted their email reception, which they claim is the fastest way to receive a response in 30 minutes, we did not hear back for over 3 hours. Then, when I finally heard back, I was given a security phone number to call for a complaint instead and they would not provide any assistance. We never received any follow up until I asked, and found out they did kick out the neighboring guests in THEIR apartment. This took multiple back and forth emails. They were not apologetic and would not issue a partial refund for the terrible night we had. Absolutely terrible customer service given the price of their units. Do not stay in any of their units if you want any sort of hospitality.

Great view! The employees were really nice.
I had hoped for a room on the upper floors as I feel the least disturbed, but unfortunately it was sold out so I got a room on the ground floor, which was annoying as guests walk past the room and look in all the time. So not much privacy in the room.
I think the room lacked a hair dryer and electric kettle, and maybe an air conditioner or similar on the hot days.
Breakfast was fine. There could well have been more options.
The flight was delayed, the hotel arrived in the early morning, the front desk was very nice. Because I dragged two big boxes, it was very hot when I arrived, and my face was red, and I specially sent a small fan to the room, because the Danish hotel is not air-conditioned!
This hotel is recommended by guests, it is really good, not far from Aarhus railway station, close to the beach with a good view, good sound insulation, quiet at night, good service.
Great hotel with really nice large and bright every clean rooms . Bathrooms were very clean and had toiletries available. Ladies at reception were absolutely wonderful . From speaking English better than most Native American speakers to being full of information and happiness they were great . Great secure bicycle storage . Within 5km. of the Ferry from Aarhus to Sealand . Straight shot on our bicycles . Very good breakfast and many very good restaurants within walking distance for dinner .
The hotel is in a great location, close to the Art Museum, Old Town Museum, and Old Town Hall. The hotel rooms are also very comfortable. The only drawback is that the B2 of the garage cannot accommodate slightly larger cars.

ARoS Aarhus Art Museum
GGifted RulerThe ARoS Aarhus Art Museum, located in Aarhus, Denmark, is one of the largest art museums in the country. It boasts a diverse collection, ranging from classical to contemporary art, with both Danish and international artists represented. One of its most famous features is the "Your Rainbow Panorama," a circular, glass walkway that offers stunning panoramic views of the city, framed by vibrant colors.
Aarhus Cathedral
乖乖小咪Aarhus Cathedral is a typical Eastern European church, with its pointed and towering spire reaching into the sky. It has exquisite murals and beautiful ceiling lights. Although it is not luxurious, it is still solemn and dignified, and it is worth visiting.
Den Gamle By
MMariale Fernandezbest place where you want to know the culture of danish people 😍🤔
Viking Museum
TTiramisu8511I went to the Viking Boat Museum and the result was really only the boat...p5p6 The cups and shields in the Viking exhibition area of another museum are like fathers.. The scenery characters inside and outside the Viking Boat Museum. Children or the elderly come here to see it seriously and have gained something.
Arhus RAdhus
TTiramisu8511Passing by Aarhus, Denmark, its second largest city is a few more colorful streets, with a tallest church in Denmark. But the government-run town hall is very inconspicuous, just an ordinary gray old building.
