The environment is very good, the mattress bedside is a bit decorated, and it is very quiet, but the sun can't open the terrace door soon. The house can enter 100 mosquitoes and 3 sticky flies. Well, it's buzzing in the ear. I didn't sleep well hahaha, the air conditioner was not cooling, and I didn't dare to open the door in the middle of the night. It is said that it can be opened after July 1st. There is no soft drink with the details. There are only 4 bottles of mineral water, no coffee or tea bags, no chairs on the terrace, and the pillows are very comfortable. The shampoo and shower gel in the wash bag are not enough. I asked for it again. I was a little unhappy. The two people gave a bag of toiletries, and the hair was longer and could not be washed. The water flow is also a bit small, and there is noise when the top spray is turned on. When it snows, it feels like a big cabin in the forest.
There are not many types of breakfast, but it is good to choose noodles.
There are various special cold dishes.
The restaurant is beautiful after the snow.
The Korean food on the second floor is generally delicious.
Spent a pleasant few days here.

I haven't written a review before, but I think I should write something when I came to the River Valley Hotel this time. The environment is really amazing, clean, smart, and quiet. It's very beautiful to take pictures on rainy days. The stream is right in the park, and it's very healing to listen to the gurgling stream. The most important thing is that the service staff is really good. When we were having a barbecue, he really responded to our requests and was very enthusiastic. He said, ”You're welcome, it's like home.” In the evening, he also sent hot milk and fruit in a thermos, which was quite surprising and touching. Thank you hotel staff, thank you.

It is equipped with a laundry room and dryer, which is very convenient. However, it may be due to the new decoration. There is a slight smell in the room, which feels that it has not been completely dissipated.
Service: A male staff member has a good service attitude. The problem of water leakage in the shower and toilet was handled in a timely manner, but there are also some shortcomings in the service. For example, I wanted to borrow an Apple charger and was told that it only has a type C port.
Environment: The hotel is connected to another hot spring hotel in the same building. Breakfast is also shared. I don’t know if it was originally the same hotel. The location of the hotel is just great. Very convenient to arrive with taxi or leave to the Changbai Mountain entrance.
Also close to the city.
But the room was interesting. Clean, good, but: The WiFi was not working and it was known to the hotel staff, but no one ever cared about it to fix it.
The AC was not working at all. Sleeping at 26 degree was hard.
Breakfast was typical local food. Very delicious. Western breakfast we cannot recommend. The butter was already to old and could not be eaten anymore. Toaster toasted on side too hard (burned) and the other side nothing.
So, all in all a good hotel for a short stay (weekend).

This guesthouse is an absolute delight! The host is so welcoming and generous and went above and beyond to ensure we had a smooth and fantastic stay. We are Chinese speaking foreigners, but the host had downloaded translation apps just in case. The breakfast was lovely and he made every effort to make us at home, including by picking us up from the airport and helping us arrange our itinerary. The guesthouse is in a convenient location to the North Entrance of Changbaishan (a seven minute walk) but away from the touristy hustle and bustle. It is nestled by a serene stream and surrounded by a forest, which is perfect respite from big city China. The rooms are beautiful, clean, serene, and comfortable.

It is only a few minutes away from the distribution center on the north slope of Changbai Mountain. It is very convenient to live here. In particular, the lady boss is very enthusiastic and patient in answering all questions. I will stay here again next time I come to Changbai Mountain.

SSH.1The first visit to this hotel was full of warmth and overwhelming hospitality. I still can't forget how they welcomed us the moment we arrived at the hotel.
Firstly, we were overwhelmed by the staff
during our arrival. They all came out to greet us and help with our luggages and belongings all the way in to the hotel.
Secondly, with the seamless check in to our rooms and fruit platter, every gesture was well thought by the hosts.
Thirdly, they prepared a sumptuous dinner for us. Simple local delicacies yet tasted really good. The number of ginsengs in the appetiser surprised us! From the portion to the presentation of food, we can taste the difference and feel they put in their heart to make everything better. Lady boss was generous to treat us a bottle of local rice wine during our mealtime. Tasted really good and special! We like that drink!!
Additionally, we were asked for timing to eat breakfast and they would prepare that before our specific timing. They even asked us for our preference and customise breakfast for us. Breakfast was served and tasted as good as dinner! Freshly prepared and done meticulously by the kitchen.
Lastly, lady boss gave us an impromptu complimentary tea session after dinner. A unique and interesting experience indeed. Never seen and tried it before. It's a heating device with net on it, put the heating pot for stirring and cooking our own tea from scratch. Meanwhile, we have the finger snacks and nuts to roast on the heating rack (as shown in the pictures) while waiting for our tea.
In between, they would guide us how to prepare the tea. It was a chill and relaxing session. We enjoyed chit chatting while roasting our tea in the cafe. It felt so warmth especially when it was snowing heavily outside. The vibes were superb!
I had many enquiries and the lady at the counter helped me out a lot without hesitation. She tried all her means to help us. The lady at the hot spring was very friendly and provide good services too!
The staff from the hot spring, restaurant, concierge, driver and even lady boss all were very attentive, friendly and nice at any point of time during our stay. Pretty impressive indeed. Giving all credits to every single staff. Amazing team!
They gave us more than we could ever imagined from services to food to hospitality. Thank you for giving us an amazing and memorable stay! Overall it was a great and enjoyable stay at this hotel. Definitely recommend everyone to visit them and feel their positive energy. Certainly can't wait for our next visit to Chang Bai Shan again!!!

The special thing is that there is a forest farm next to it, and the owner also raises two roe deer, which is very close to the exit of the rafting. Normally, the owner will provide pick-up and drop-off services from the high-speed rail station, and try to provide convenience for the guests. Overall, there are pros and cons, it depends on your preference.

The housekeeper contacted me very early to confirm the check-in, arranged a car to pick up and drop off at the station that day, and helped contact the tour group. The room was exactly as it was in the picture, clean and hygienic, and the bed was quite comfortable. I liked it very much. The bed is great, but the sleep is sound. There are small bars, cafes and observation decks around the B&B (the schisandra tea in the cafe is delicious), there are children's play facilities, and there is a former air-raid shelter next to it. The B&B is off-grid with red wall folk customs. The park is close, and there are cats and dogs. All in all, it’s very good~strongly beneficial~

GGuest UserI'm afraid my experience wasn't the best. When arrived our room, the floor (carpet) was super dirty. We complained to reception and they sent a cleaning lady. She wasn't super happy to clean the floor but we waited patently. Once she finished we open the bed and saw some hairs. We called reception again. This time one of the hotel managers came to meet us. She apologized and decided to upgrade us to a nicer and bigger room for free. They still took over one hour to clean it to make sure it was in acceptable conditions. I'm not sure we were just unlucky or that is the normal standard in that hotel. In any case, the new room was good to stay and we were happy with their efforts.
Breakfast is almost inexistent for foreigners and it finishes way too early: 8:30. Arriving twice at 8am, we could barely find food.
Except for this location, is good (close to train station, close to hospital where you can do virus test, close to connection point to enter Changbaishan (North), close to some big green areas (pine forests) where you can have enjoyable walks in the morning or after dinner.
As a conclusion, if I may give some constructive feedback to hotel manager:
- please consistently and thoroughly clean your rooms when guests leave;
- extended breakfast time to at least 9:30;
- include more variety in the breakfast and make sure quantities are at decent level by 8:00.

Restaurant: Breakfast is very ordinary and there is nothing to eat. We also had dinner in the hotel. The cold noodles are very good!
Hot spring: I like it very much. There are many indoor and outdoor pools. There are children's water parks in both areas. It is a unique experience if it snows in winter. After soaking in the hot spring, go to the second floor for steaming. There is a door that goes directly into the hotel restaurant.
The hotel is suitable for self-driving. There is nothing to eat around. If you come to Yanji and want to soak in hot springs, you must come here!

GGuest UserThe experience of booking Gem Hotel on Ctrip far exceeded my expectations and made me deeply feel the warmth and meticulousness of ”feeling at home”. From the moment I made the reservation, Gem Hotel's customized butler service was activated in advance. They took the initiative to contact me and carefully asked if I needed pick-up service from the high-speed rail station. This precautionary care made my heart warm even before I arrived.
After arriving at the hotel, the enthusiasm of the front desk staff was even more impressive. Not only were they smiling, but they also carefully observed that I was bringing my child with me, and then thoughtfully upgraded me to a parent-child room for free. The room is large and the layout is reasonable. Every detail has taken into account the needs of family travel. The spacious space allows our little baby to run freely and enjoy happy time. This arrangement undoubtedly added countless warmth and convenience to our trip.
The ending of the entire trip was equally unforgettable. The driver, Master Zhang, not only delivered us to the high-speed rail station on time, but also provided enthusiastic and courteous service along the way, making us feel the warmth of home on the way home. Such a service team is undoubtedly the most valuable asset of Gem Hotel and the key to allowing every guest to leave beautiful memories.
Here, I would like to express my most sincere gratitude and highest praise to the Ctrip platform and all the staff of Gem Hotel. It is your hard work and hard work that made this trip an unforgettable memory. BBritoThe hotel is very close ( 25 yuan by taxi or 15 mins) from the train station. The staff went out of their way to make my stay more pleasant: they helped me to get a nice Korean dinner and since I told her my train was at 7 am and I wouldn’t be able to take the breakfast. They prepared it for me in a bag for me to eat it at 6 when I leave to the train station. Really warm staff. At first I was placed in a room with very poor soundproof and the next door neighbor was quite loud , had a duster screaming “ mom look” all the time . So the front desk had me moved to another area of the hotel on e same floor . I had a sound sleep. Something that needs improvement is that I needed 3 pillows , the hotel could not provide extra pillows and the ones the Ed has are a bit too thin. But I would stay again!
