本人車迷，十年前來雲南時開遠的小火車還沒開行，現在開遠有了昆河鐵路上目前唯一的客運列車，所以去開遠專程坐米軌火車。因此選酒店時選了這個看起來離開遠站不遠的酒店。從高鐵開遠南站有公交可以直達酒店，到人民中路下車往回走100米就到。不過酒店大門不在人民中路的大街上，而是要拐到旁邊的順城巷裡。酒店位置的確離開遠站非常近，導航走路過去也就10分鐘，如果從順城巷走到鐵路上，沿着鐵路走，就更方便了。房間面積夠大，而且因為房間在走廊盡頭，所以兩面的牆上都有窗户，採光和通風都不錯。性價比還是可以的。唯一的問題是我訂了兩天，入住時因為前台的房卡刷卡器出毛病了，衹給我做了一天的房卡，讓我第二天再到前台刷一下。結果第二天我到前台刷卡的時候，另一位前台服務員説我這個房卡是刷了兩天的，不用刷。結果我上樓發現開不了門，又回到前台重新刷卡。
