The hotel is very clean and profesional. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast has an ample range for the hungry traveller with the Chinese food cooked to perfection and decent bread but not many cereal options. I would have preferred there to be sugar-free options with the hot drinks but there is hot water for tea bags. The decor is superb and bed warm and comfortable. I didn't get to see the museum so if I come back then I will probably choose to stay here again!

It was my first time in Changsha. Considering that living near May Day Square might be too noisy, I chose Marriott Executive Apartments after repeated comparisons. The hotel is located next to Meixi Lake. This area should have been newly developed in recent years, with many new communities and businesses. There are not as many people as near May Day Square, and it is more friendly to people who like quiet. The hotel is not big overall, but it is quite exquisite, the rooms are also very good, the facilities are very new, and there are separate living rooms and bedrooms. The tableware, kitchenware and washing machines are all complete, which is very convenient to live in. The service is also very good. When I checked in, I happened to meet the staff in the corridor, who enthusiastically guided us to the room and introduced the room facilities. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but everything is available, with a combination of Chinese and Western food. It was a very good stay experience.

Unfortunately, the row of villas has been basically blocked by the production team for renovation. I can only take some photos quietly and quickly outside. I hurried to Changsha to check in before the Academy Hut was demolished for long-term rental. Although it is a bit far from the city center, it is not difficult to get a taxi. You can also take a taxi and order takeout directly to each specific villa. The concierge can pick you up from the lobby to the room or from the room to the hotel 24 hours a day. Someone will help you with the luggage and open the car door. Don't worry if you don't drive yourself. The service is very good. The front desk, housekeeping and concierge are all very polite. If you call for a disposable bathtub mask at night, it will be delivered immediately. If you call for a concierge car to pick you up, it will be very fast. Xiaoyi at the front desk is very responsible and has a good attitude. The hygiene is very careful. The shampoo and conditioner are very easy to use. He also helped to fold the pajamas that were casually placed on the bed! The only shortcoming is that the sound insulation is too poor. The sound of the phone call next door in the early morning and the sound of the takeaway brother's car parking downstairs are very clear. Many families with children can hear the noise. The room is a little old, which is understandable because it is so old. There is a little musty smell when you just enter the door. Just open the window to ventilate. The facilities can be improved. The buffet breakfast is very rich, and the taste of the dishes is good or bad, but it is taken away too quickly. As soon as you go to add dishes, they are cleaned up.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was nicely designed and in a densely populated area which made travelling and finding places to eat at very smooth sailing. The room was spacious, including a lounge area and had a big bathtub with a beautiful city view of the colourful skyscrapers which lit up at night. Wish we had a longer time in the area as we would have loved to stay for longer. Would highly recommend.

The museum does not provide catering services now, so please bring food with you.
