This 3 star hotel punches much above its ratings. The rooms are very well appointed, with contemporary furniture, very comfortable beds, spacious, and well equipped. Excellent toilet and shower facilities. All well above what you would expect for a 3 star hotel. The restaurant serves a good breakfast, and the evening menu is excellent. All aur meals were delicious, with a Swiss menu with a Mexican twist. The staff were very friendly, and the Director has a quirky sense of humour! Absolutely stunning place. The only downside was that I was here for a conference and despite touring the place, didn't get to try the pool, spa and the awesome infrastructure (bike, backpack and other equipment loan, guided walks, etc). The setting is absolutely stunning and everything from the cool lobby bar area to the awesome kids lounge is top notch. I'm making plans to come back with the family: summer or winter, it looks like the perfect place for a break.

The Roc et Neige hotel is located in the wonderfully picturesque Chateaux D'Oex village surrounded by high mountains and lush green hillside. I stayed at the hotel for a week as part of a group tour with Newmarket Holidays and the hotel was used as a base for daily trips to the surrounding areas of Montreux, Interlaken, Fribourg, Gstaad and Gruyere. The hotel has an idyllic location with breathtaking views all around. The hotel rooms are cosy, functional and clean with maid service each day. High speed internet and good wifi coverage ensures that you can keep in contact and use higher bandwidth services such as Netflix and Youtube. Remember that the Swiss electrical system uses the 3 Swiss pin socket rather than the euro adaptor but local adaptors can be hired from the hotel if you forget them. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite which made the stay enjoyable. Our package tour included breakfast and evening meals on five out of our seven night stay, enabling us to try out the local restaurants in the village on the nights when the hotel restaurant was closed (Tues & Thurs). Evening meals were set menu and superb and the chef does an excellent job to create well presented and tasty three course meals. Breakfast is continental style with fresh breads, rolls, croissants, eggs, yoghurt, cereals meat, juices and a range of teas and coffees. The hotel also catered for one person in our party who was on a GF menu. The hotel is located approx 10 mins walk from the village high street where there are a range of local shops, cafes, a few restaurants, tourist information and a local train station. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Roc et Neige and the beautiful village of Chateaux D'Oex.

Le Grand Bellevue is a gracious and elegant hotel with a gorgeous backdrop of the surrounding mountain vista - a perfect place to experience the Swiss countryside in the picturesque Saanen area of the Bern canton. The hotel is well located right at the entrance to the main village street which is pedestrian only. Lovely restaurants and shopping boutiques! We stayed for 3 nights in September and absolutely loved this hotel. Our room was delightful and comfortable with a spacious, beautiful bathroom. Spectacular views can be enjoyed from any hotel in Gstaad, but the best feature of this hotel is definitely the staff, who were all so warm, friendly and professional and go above and beyond to make your stay as wonderful as possible. A special commendation for the ever present and obliging concierge, Olivier, who is a multilingual phenomenon - always ready to help and made arrangements for dinner bookings, taxis, whatever we needed. Right from before our arrival, we were contacted by staff to ensure everything we needed for our stay could be anticipated and any prior arrangements made for us. We can't say how impressed we were with the top quality service, professionalism of the amazing staff at this 5-star, boutique hotel in Gstaad! We hope to return sometime.
