Historical hotel, located in the city centre, but with rooms, at least my own, that give on a courtyard and thus are safe from the city noises. Good comfort and cleaning, but the structure is a little old and would require some renovation. Good breakfast buffet. Modest prices. However, be careful where you leave your car! The posting is located next to the entrance, which is a public posting, which is payable from 8:00 a.m. on the morning. So unless you are waking at 7:00, you always risk having to add to the price of the room a fine (of 40 francs!) that the only local agents will not miss to deal with you in the event of a breach. Another warning: better know that the hotel is not equipped with a restaurant and that possible rooms in the surrounding area will not give you anything, even a pan, after 22:00h...
For an overnight stay in Fribourg I chose Hotel Alpha and it definitely was very good value for money. From Fribourg train station it is a 10-minute walk to the hotel, which is located on a quiet street. Just don’t be put off by the building that reminds me of something from the 70s. The greatest asset is the staff, both at reception and during breakfast - smiling, friendly and very helpful. This is genuine hospitality. I chose the most basic room - a standard single room - and therefore did not have many expectations. The room was small - as in most hotels in Fribourg - but quite ok for one night, and spotlessly clean. Bed was comfortable. Strangely, there is a massive pillar in the middle of the room (see picture): disturbing at first, but you quickly get used to it. The breakfast room is bright and airy. The buffet itself was great, both in quantity and quality, and included rösti, homemade marmalade, local cheese. I will remember this hotel for any future stay in Fribourg.

We found this hotel because it is to say, in Fribourg there is not so much as it ... Extremely well placed (at the doors of the old town) with views on the resorts and partly on the bridge of the Poya, We were happy to spend the two nights there. Indeed, the litter is very bad, the service is not super friendly, the rooms seem not to have other than hiding ridges and other disturbing details, like no more hot water in the middle of the shower... However, The room is well isolated, well equipped, breakfast is not bad at all, well provided, there are numerous parking places in front of the establishment*****t and around and the city is widely accessible by foot. We had a room above the 2nd floor, not to mention that we had 10% of the rooms on a night due to the shower. Probably a hotel that would have deserved between very good and medium, kind of good.
The location of the hotel is still a little away from the downtown area of Fribourg. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes by bus from the train station and then another 10 minutes on foot. However, we plan to have a relatively good time for family travel this time. On the contrary, I like it very much. It is most convenient if you live here and drive by yourself. There are many parking spaces in the parking lot.
This time with children, the family loves this hotel very much. The hotel is very new, the rooms and bathrooms are relatively spacious, there is a garden in front, and the sheep farm can take the baby for a walk.
The hotel is surrounded by beautiful residential areas. There is a Chinese restaurant within a 20-minute walk, and a good bakery and coffee shop within a ten-minute walk. Suitable for friends who don't have a tight schedule.
The hotel breakfast is very fresh and very good. The hotel does not have a TV, and the kettle is only used in public spaces, and there is no extra space in the room. This is a very affordable and simple hotel.
Easy to find just off a busy roundabout with masses of car parking. Staff at the hotel and in the bar were great )except one mister grumpy who just grunted at us). I liked the breakfast selection and ate breakfast every day, the bar/restaurant is good and very busy at lunchtime with local people eating. Bingo nights also are very busy. I had a single room facing the main road with is noisy all day & night. The room was nice and clean and the single bed comfy. Shower cubicle was small and getting in/out difficult.
The hotel was clean and staff is very friendly, flexibel and helpful. Great price for what you can expect (functional, clean, still roomy and good choice of breakfast-buffet, free WiFi, table and chair, Sofa and bathroom with tub). The hotel is well located and very close to Pérolles and the University of Fribourg there. I can highly recommend and will definitely come back.
Great hotel for one night. Was with my father. Had the double room for sole use. Very comfortable beds. Very clean. And surprisingly quiet. Very good windows. Breakfast in the Ibis over there was appealing including egg dishes, various breads, good coffee. Everything was better than expected.
The hotel is a hotel with a very high and very high quality experience and is very close to the business of the hotel. Then then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then, then Indeed, he causes a lot of harm to his employer, to his client but above all to himself by expressing his frustration. When I mentioned that I'm already a client of the establishment and that I've never experienced in such an episode, his answer was ‘it's all about me, I don't know you' while supplementing that his attitude is quite different outside the work'. A great testimony about his unacceptable attitude! What respect!
