Find the Cheap White Rock Hotels

I had such a wonderful stay here. The sea views from rooms at the front are breathtaking - such a wide expansive view of the sea can be seen. The house is so comfortable, so bright and spacious, and has such a nice, uniform warmth to it, and the beds are so comfortable. Jane and Lily and the others are truly kind and gracious hosts running this bnb. Its location is perfect, you can be on White Rock Pier in about 5 minutes on foot. This area of the beach is spoilt for choice of lovely walkways and the surrounding area is picturesque. Even the famous White Rock can be seen from the front (common) room of this house!

The Good: A clean, updated place with our room (114A) having a full kitchen and enough pots, pans and dishes and a Nespresso machine making great coffee. The beds were comfortable, pillows were good and AC units were quiet. The deck had chairs and a table. Overall a really nice place. The Bad: The view was of the street so best to close the shades when privacy is needed. No USB or outlets around the bed to charge our phones. Our bedroom door was squeaky and the living room floors were squeaky making it tougher to stay quiet for a roommate. The Ugly: I may have left something of value in our room, so I called and asked. House keeping had left so the front desk said they would call back. 24 hours later I called again and they said they must not have found anything or they would have called back.

Private house in quiet neighborhood. Friendly Chinese owner. Something different from western hospitality, but with good intentions. It was known that it is a shared bathroom/toilet, which, however, somewhat affects the rating. Use light sparingly by not plugging nightlights into sockets. Dining room area with refrigerator and limited cutlery, but with sink and hot water. Shoes must be taken off in the hall at the front door, slippers are offered by the landlord for use indoors. No easy door PIN codes, which hinders quick entry and exit, easy to make mistakes, 6 and 8 numbers and/or symbols to key in. If we don't find something better in the area for our next trip, we will book here again, so we could get on with it.

The room was fine but it was not what I thought it was going to be. It is more like a hostel. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal. As we were there for a function in ocean park area the location was awesome.

Room was clean and quiet, bed was conformable, A/C worked great, had a fridge and microwave in room, and an elevator. The front office staff were helpful and kind.

The employees were very pleasant and friendly…….however there were dirty streaks of fingerprints on the bathroom door, dried milk stains on the chair and a dirty streak on the window. There were only two pillows on the bed, no coffee maker, no coffee, no iron, and no extra blankets. We stayed for two nights, reserved 3 weeks before. We were placed in a room by the front door, there was a lot of noise outside the entrance late at night so didn’t get a lot of sleep. When we asked to be moved for the second night we were told there were other reservations and it would be more work for housekeeping. We were offered a room two doors down which would have been no quieter. The ice machine was broken, the television was so small that it couldn’t be seen from the bed. Perhaps if it was mounted on the wall instead of on the low table it would have been better. There also seems to be a hiccup between the government website and their records because I had to argue for the government employee discount. Overall an unpleasant stay
