L'hôtel est bien situé : à quelques minutes en voiture de la gare de train de Saint-Hyacinthe et en bordure de l'autoroute 20. L'hôtel partage le stationnement avec plusieurs restaurants et commerces. Il a cinq minutes en voiture d'un gros centre d'achats et à une dizaine de minutes de parc Salines qui contient une glissades sur tube et des sentiers de skis de fond. Le Holiday Inn Express a des chambres spacieuses avec des lits et des oreillers confortables. La piscine a une bonne température mais aurait besoin de quelques rénovations. Il n'y a pas de restaurant sur place mais un buffet chaud est offert pour déjeuner. Il était constamment rempli et la nouriture est bien et variées. Dans l'ensemble, le personnel est bienveillant et à l'écoute des clients. Notre chambre était située côté autoroute. C'était hyper bruyant, nous nous sommes fait réveiller par le bruit des camions qui passaient à toute allure. Aussi, notre chambre a manqué d'eau chaude. Quand nous en avons fait par au personnel de l'accueil, il nous a changé de chambre. Nous avons passé un beau séjour.

After returning from a road trip to Nova Scotia from Toronto, we were anxious to get home. Living out of a suitcase and sleeping on a different bed almost every night after 8 days was enough for us. A phenomenal vacation exploring Nova Scotia though. We drove 12 hours and booked a room at this gem while on the road. Staff were courteous and helpful. The room was spacious and to our advantage, had a double jacuzzi - great after a day on the road. The bed was super comfy, wifi excellent, and air conditioner worked well. It was just what we needed. The breakfast had plenty of options. Most important is that we woke up feeling refreshed. I definitely recommend this gem.

I have stayed at this property on a few occasions on the way back from Cape Breton and this stay was just as good as the others. Check in was quick and smooth as we were sent to our room on the 3rd floor which is the animal floor as we were travelling with two dogs. Upon entering the room it was spacious, fresh and clean. We booked two queens as we were travelling with our niece. The only thing we did not like due to our senior dog who has MD and struggles to keep her balance let alone walk was the carpets were removed from the third floor during covid times to help with clean up at check outs. This does make sense and would of been no issue for most. At this point I called the front desk and after speaking with one lady who passed me off to the supervisor and I explained my dogs injury’s and situation this supervisor came to the room moments later and provided me keys to another room on the 7th floor that was carpeted. I was told the 7th floor was the animal floor during the carpet removal project- this may of been why. Regardless I was thankful for the accommodation and switched room. When we got to This room on the 7th floor it was also spacious, clean and fresh. The beds comfortable and lots of pillows. Bathroom clean, soap and shampoo provided and lots of towels for all. This hotel meet our needs again and was accommodating to our senior dog as best can, which was great!

I have to say that this stay has been one of the worst and most frustrating experiences I've had at a hotel. Short version is that we booked a week with 2 rooms at this hotel at the end of July/early August 2023. We did the same last year at pretty much the same time (mid-August). Last year, rates were about 65% cheaper. I understand that everything has increased in price across the industry and I knew the rate when I booked. The issue I had, other that the rooms smelling like mildew and old stinky feet, is that there was a laminated notice in the room upon our arrival stating that no one would be cleaning the room, due to ”staffing issues”. For our entire stay, no one entered to room to clean, or replace towels, soap, or even refill the coffee/sugar etc. If we needed anything, we had to go to the front desk to ask or chase down the cleaning staff cleaning the rooms for new arrivals for clean towels. This may sound petty, but when you pay premium prices, you expect better. Nowhere did they advise that we would have to fend for yourself when booking, and by the time we found out, it was too late to cancel or move to another hotel. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. You raise your rates by 65% and can't find staff? Maybe offer a 65% better wage and I'm sure you will find staff to fill the position. Having a laminated sign in the room looks like the exception has become the policy to save/make more money from unsuspecting guests. Read the past reviews like I should have; this laminated sign has been in the rooms since May 2023 at least! Sounds like they are focused on saving money by cutting corners. What’s next, recycling the bed sheets without washing them?? After all, this isn't a vacation rental... Also, not all rooms are the same. There is a renovated side which looks much better. They gave us a king room on the ground floor which was obviously on the older side. It smelled of mildew and was infested with ants. It looked nothing like the pictures on the website which are from the newer side. They reluctantly switched us to a better room on the newer side after getting approval from the manager, but this one smelled of stinky feet. We stayed there and just kept the patio doors open for the remainder of our stay to try and air out the place. I recommend you stay away from this hotel until they get new management...
