Stayed for a couple of nights due to impending bad weather. Front desk clerk and or answering clerk are friendly and efficient. The rooms are right out of the 80’s but that is to be expected from a motel. Our room had a double bed, hide a bed couch a bathroom with separate sink area and a kitchenette. The cupboards lack enough cutlery and dishes for four people and one of our forks was broken. Daily housekeeping is expected of the tenants which is not cool considering the peak season price of $165+ taxes per night. There is a playground out back but it needs replaced or repaired baldly. Laundry service is available with one washer and dryer. It takes two loonies per load and per dry. The highlight for us was the available BBQ to grill our burgers on. Located within minutes of Charlottetown amenities.
The hotel is right by the road and it is easy to find. It looks like a small hotel opened by a Chinese family. It is very convenient to check in. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes drive from the downtown area, which is relatively convenient. Breakfast is relatively simple, with milk bread, fruit coffee, etc., can fill your stomach!

The hotel is great! The room was very clean, didn't buy breakfast, went to the Chinese Consulate for more than 10 minutes, it was very convenient, I will stay here next time, the service is very good.
There are a lot of parking spaces. There are two doors in the hotel room which are very convenient for taking in the car. Although there is no toothpaste and toothbrush, others have shampoo and hair care skin care, a good hotel.
This was a nice hotel for a family getaway. It’s typical family spot, with decent breakfast, pool, and parking. The rooms’ layout is nicely thought-out and we had a comfortable stay. The only complaints are about noise, though we had at least one big group through in a tour bus and a kids’ team staying at the hotel at the same time as our stay. The hotel location is decent too for touring via car and it’s a short drive to Charlottetown downtown/waterfront. If you’re worried about noise then I recommend staying in a more ‘adult’ or upscale place.
This hotel is a big, beautiful building in a very busy area. It looks so attractive and is newer. All we ask is that a room be clean and comfortable. We felt the front desk clerk was very unfriendly and mechanical, never smiling to welcome us, just doing his job and handing us the key and information. Even though we know the hotel is newer, the carpet in our room was very worn. The bathroom, which should be the cleanest area of the room, was the worse. There was missing grout around the tub, and in places mold/ mildew was present. The tub/ shower was also very slippery, with a smooth surface on the bottom. The bathroom had an access panel for the plumbing which was rusty. The carpet in the hotel hallway was newer and still had a very strong chemical smell. The breakfast was a typical hotel fare, with mostly carbs and fake/ processed meats. Finally, though the location is convenient, the road by the hotel is very busy and you can only turn one way out of the exit to the hotel. If you want to go the other way, you have to go up and make a u turn or go very far around a block. Not convenient, not clean, not comfortable. We won't be back.
Unusual , in that you had to place a $100 deposit. The cleanliness was not 100%, we found items under the den table (as we tried to find an outlet). Old a/c window unit. No overhead fan to assist in ventilation.

We are two seniors ( one with significant mobility issues) and could have used more support with our luggage. There were three gentleman on the front desk and were not busy with guests at the time of our arrival or departure. Instead busy chit chatting among themselves. One evening we tried to contact the front desk, room services etc. and each number reported the mailbox as full. Concerning if there was an emergency. We did manage to contact front desk when we used our own cell phones and called the number for booking reservations. The tv also did not work on our last 2 days. The staff however were prompt and tried to repair the tv but were unable to do so .

PPEKPEVThe property is a renovated motel The most recently renovated section is in conference Center . The “new”rooms are not large but are well designed for short stays . The staff are exceptionally kind & helpful . Laundry facilities are great to have access to . The breakfast is more than ample . Not gourmet - just like breakfast options at home . Tea & coffee around the clock . Fridges in room . Nice flower boxes & little patio areas to enjoy outdoors in warmer months . Complimentary use of good bicycles & helmets was very nice - good to cycle around Victoria Park . No elevators which those with mobility issues need to consider .
王王Breakfast is not self-service, there are fried eggs, beef, and generally, not Chinese taste. There is a parking lot but there is a charge. There are many hotels not far from the hotel, and the Lobster Hotel is also nearby.
GGuest UserWe liked that no children are allowed. But the type of customer are young adult who acts worst than children. All of them are drunk and loud, banging on eachother's room door talking loud. We think this hotel is made for the people who wants to party and crash. There's no tv, refrigerator, microwave in the room. Only a bed and bathroom. It was clean.
My husband and I recently got married at the Rodd Charlottetown, and we loved our experience! The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure the day went smoothly and all of our needs were met. The price for the services rendered was very reasonable, and the food was absolutely incredible. They helped make the day truly memorable!
