The location is on the edge of the port, and there is a COWS ice cream shop 10 meters from the east gate. The clerk is professional. Breakfast is not included, it is a la carte system, but the price is actually acceptable between 17-24 Canadian dollars. The facilities include a swimming pool and a gym. The gym is very large. In the swimming pool, the old white man and the old lady are doing extravagant things, which is also drunk. The last hour of the swimming pool is adult only time, but there are still children in it after the time has passed. The security staff helped clean up in time. very good.

Our trip from the moment we arrived was perfect. I’ve never seen a whole hotel’s staff so friendly! The room is beautifully done, we had an amazing view of Citadel Hill, very comfy bed, in-room Nespresso, plush towels - an absolute treat. We had a fantastic meal at Chopped too. We loved it so much we’ve cancelled our upcoming reservation at a nearby hotel for March Break and are returning to the Sutton Place.

I used to have the experience of booking an overseas hotel when I said there was no order and communicated many times before finding the order. I was quite worried before I checked in this time, but it turned out that the check-in went smoothly, and I will still book hotels with Ctrip in the future.

Our third stop on our tour of the maritimes was the Hotel Halifax. It had a great location close to the pier and it was connected to the indoor walkway that connected to the mall, the ******, and other hotels and businesses downtown. This was very convenient on the day it rained during our stay! The rooms were very spacious and had very comfortable beds. No issues with hot water, air conditioning or internet. An unexpected bonus was having a water refill machine on each floor to fill up reusable water bottles. There was no breakfast included but the hotel was connected to the indoor food court at the mall and there were lots of restaurants nearby. At the hotel you can pay for parking at the indoor parking garage connected to the hotel, and it allowed in and out privileges. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommended to anyone wanting to stay in the waterfront area!

Positives: - Convenient location to the Halifax Citadel and the harbor, 2-3 blocks each way. - Good hot water - The room itself is old with limited electrical outlet, but the hotel installed extension cords and additional electrical outlet bases on the nightstand and on the desk to make charging easy and convenient. - The room was also dark due to its original design and age of the building, but the hotel brought in more lights and evenly spread-out the room to ensure no dark area/spot, which I appreciate. Negatives: - Hairs found on top of toilet and floors of the bathroom, lots of short hairs, disgusting - Watermarks on the coffee table and nightstand - Many pin holes on the walls and wall papers - When raising the dirty bathroom issues to the hotel, they sent an inexperienced person, Jared, over to help but the issues did not get resolved and made false accusations about me being rude to him when I was speaking at my normal voice and sharing cleanliness issues. - Toilet dripping all night - Booked for VIP package but did not get VIP service in both room quality and condition as well as staff attitude (particular from Jared) other than waiving the self-parking fee. - When speaking with the hotel manager about the issues after Jared's inability to solve it, the hotel manager plain outright told me over the phone that he did not care how I felt and was not willing to help solve the situation, and sided with his employee, Jared, who had negative attitude and accused me of being rude to his employees. And deflating the real issues, which is disgusting and unclean floors with many hairs. And made suggestions on using towels to ”cover up” all unclean hairs and dirty floors in the bathroom. - The hotel did not own up its own responsibility when dropping the ball on cleanliness and got defensive, worse yet, turned around falsely blaming me for being rude and treating hotel employees badly when it's them who started negative attitudes. Other: - Check in staff, Stella, was efficient but came across as impatient because she kept on cutting me off before I finished speaking. - Olga, the second check-in staff, was more cordial - There is no valet parking. The closet self-parking is across the street, no parking right underneath. In other words, if you sign up self-parking with the hotel, they will send you to a large parking garage across the street, and the hotel will provide you with an instruction slip on how to find it and find your way back to the hotel lobby. The parking garage entrance is on Albemarle St. If you follow hotel's instruction slip carefully, you should find your way back without issues. Always remember where you park. Or just ask people around. The walk from where you park to the hotel lobby is at least 10 minutes assuming you don't get lost. You would cross a big indoor food court and a walkway and escalates before getting back to the hotel lobby. The hotel shares parking structure with Hotel Halifax across the street. - No breakf

GGuest UserPositives: - Convenient location to the Halifax Citadel and the harbor, 2-3 blocks each way. - No breakf

GGuest UserOur third stop on our tour of the maritimes was the Hotel Halifax.

SstellaThe most satisfying thing is breakfast, and finally there are scrambled eggs instead of just boiled eggs. The front desk is very good, the front of the door is the lake, it is a great pleasure to have time to sit and enjoy the scenery. Moreover, this is the only hotel in our entire Canadian itinerary that does not require a deposit, and it feels good to be trusted. recommend!

GGuest UserI stayed at Quality Inn Airport in Halifax on feb 14th; we were told it would be busy in the am as my flight was at 0800. The next morning, I was ready by 0530 to take shuttle for 5:45 but when I got downstairs, there was already close to 50ppl waiting for shuttle service. I was clearly not gonna make it to airport with the 2hrs suggested time of arrival. Quality Inn staff knew how many people required shuttle to the airport that morning and only allowed max 9ppl onboard. We were not offered to take a 2nd shuttle of any kind. I decided to pick up my car from parking (which was about 1km walk) and take it to airport, which I then had to pay for 1wk parking. No managment on site, no taxi or other mode of transportation. My suggestion is: don't count on shuttle to take you to the airport on time; have a second plan or don t stay there because it 's cheaper with free parking.

GGuest UserConvenient stay near the airport. The shuttle to and from the airport leaves every 30 minutes all night long and the hotel is located about a 10 minute drive from the airport. The bed and pillow is super comfortable, good IPA, tasty food, and amazing staff. Breakfast is from 6-11 and is really nice.

GGuest UserThe Hotel had renovated since our last visit and we booked accordingly, for an overnight stay. This turned out to be a mistake. 1) Upon checking in, we found that the room furniture & decor was very dated & in poor condition. Some efforts could be seen in attempts to update room decoration (including the bathroom) but damage to a wall had not been addressed 2) There was no soap in the room. I called to advise & was asked to come down to reception to get some. Upon arrival, I was told that the hotel was completely out, The solution was to use shower gel & were given extras 3) The TV didn't work because the wires had been disconnected from the box & TV. It appeared that when I pulled out the dresser to fix, I had been the only one back there in quite awhile 4) The Ice bucket in the room contained melted water from a previous guest with no replacement plastic liner. When asked, the service Staff were unaware of the location of any ice machines. After walking the 3 floors looking I had found 2 non-working machines. Reception went to the bar to provide a small bowl of ice. 5) Water pressure was virtually non-existent - the (slippery) shower pan had not been cleaned and because the curtain did not reach the floor, water was not contained. There were no shelves for convenience or Hand holds in the shower - very dangerous 6) Morning coffee was provided by only 2 Decaf packages - no regular 7) One of the bed's was off its wood frame & as a result, stuck out far enough to cause damage to the toe that was caught. 8) Front Desk had advised their staff that we had checked out (we had not) - we were terribly surprised when entrance was made at 9:30am 9) I sat on an (antique) couch in the lobby and promptly found out that there was no seat support. There was no indication that some furniture was not safe to sit on. It was evident that money had been put into making the hotel more attractive on the surface, but it could have been better spent in averting these kinds of reviews.

GGuest UserI booked 3 nights for my bf and I to spend some time in Halifax over reading week. It is a good location however, the first night we heard something going through the garbage in the bathroom but when we checked we didn’t see anything. The next day we saw a mouse run across the room. When we complained they said there’s mice everywhere. I would not stay after that.

What travellers say about Halifax attractions

Discover these places worth visiting in Halifax and select a hotel nearby for added convenience
Halifax Public Gardens
LLavender and SunBuying Chinese things still has to go to Chinese stores. There is one in South Street, very close to the school, but there are fewer things. I usually go to Jiahua, next to Fenwick's Sobeys, things are quite complete, basically all shipped from Toronto, but some things may be put for a long time, everyone pay attention to the shelf life when buying.
Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21
DDory·LThe story of the older Canadian immigrants is so moving that tears can't help but flow. It used to be a landing point for immigrants, where passenger ships docked at the dock and immigration procedures. There are transfer interpreters who can listen to them explain the immigration stories of those days.
Museum of Natural History
1137***66[View] No natural history museum in the world has the best museums to compare (sorry, the Smithsonian museum). It is large, but well laid out and modern. The exhibits here are special, like Tyrannosaurus rex are especially good. As a bonus, you have access to the Hayden Planetarium. Take the subway from the underground entrance of 81st Street - this line is relatively short.
Halifax Central Library
DDory·LHalifax Library was named the top 10 most beautiful libraries in the world by the US website in 2016. In fact, he is indeed a brilliant and beautiful library. Its location is on the road in the city center, and Queen Street forms a pinch. It has free book cards, free Internet access, free group activities, free English learning, free books borrowed 5 copies per month, free printing of 5 knives per month... It also helps immigrants work actively. There is a children's area, and computer adults are not available. There is also the elderly area, all the book characters are very large, the intimate design and reading support is very moving. I highly recommend this place [price ratio] [scenery] [interesting]
Maritime Museum of the Atlantic
河糖月色It’s a great museum, very interesting and informative, there’s a great exhibition about the Big Bang and the Titanic, and the model ship’s exhibition is beautiful, whether it’s newly curated.
Halifax Citadel National Historic Site
牡丹The octagonal star fortress of the port city of halifax, once a fortress built by the british and french rivals during the 18th century colonial period, is now a tourist attraction in haha with a weapons museum.
