We chose this hotel because the places we usually stay in Golden that allow our dog were booked. The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway, but this also means it can be noisy. There is a restaurant attached, which was great for us, as we could pick up food to have in our room (we don't eat inside restaurants due to Covid concerns). The hotel and room were fairly clean, but there was a chunk of something that the vacuum had missed on the floor next to the bed. There were also a LOT of people walking right by our main floor window, which meant we ended up having to sit in the room with the drapes closed in order to have any privacy. I think the rooms in the back of the hotel would be quieter, and rooms on the second floor would be more private. (I'm not sure if the second floor is an option if one is travelling with a pet.) Basically, this hotel was just your average, 2 story, hotel on the side of the highway. It's fine, but the price is high for what you get.
The front desk is kind, the cabin is clean and the space is large.
The experience of living is very good. The sanitary products are complete! Breakfast has simple cereal coffee available, but unfortunately the coffee machine has no water. Only my friend has drunk the current service staff is not 24 hours, but the price is reasonable with no 24-hour service. If you pursue 24-hour service, you may have to consider another home.
But overall I will be willing to live back again, great
This is not a review of the hotel but our experience of the customer service provided by Rooms at Riversedge Golden prior to arrival, specifically around information given about significant highway closures which can at best be described as selective, at worst deceitful/inaccurate/untruthful. Anybody considering booking this accommodation between September 25 to October 6 should be aware that the main route (highway 1) to/from Golden is closed both ways. The alternate route will add at least 2 hours to your journey to/from Golden. This hotel believes this is an acceptable alternative for guests who they know full well will be visiting several of the attractions in the area, all of which will be inaccessible during this time. The hotel did not inform us of this road closure. Instead we received the below information after we had booked in August: “Thank you once again for booking with us! For those guests travelling eastbound to Golden from Calgary, please be advised that there is construction on the Trans-Canada Highway just outside of Golden. Guests can expect minor delays during the day, up until 10:00pm (MT), at which time the highway closes. The highway remains closed throughout the night until 7:00am, and requires guests to take an alternate route. Should you have any questions or would like additional information we ask you to contact guest services at 250-272-1212.” Nowhere does it state the highway would be closed during our booking period. This information I found out myself the day before our arrival when planning our route. No refund was offered so I feel no choice to leave a negative review due to insufficient communication given to us about the highway closure during our specific planned dates of stay. It would not be asking too much for someone at this accommodation to inform guests who had booked during the period of the highway closure the true facts.

Winston Lodge is in the vicinity of Golden - some 12 klm or so away from the main town. It is a nice drive to get there from the town. We arrived and the lodge was open, but no-one was at reception (around 4pm). Room key was in an envelope with instructions as to where to find our room. We went in and the air conditioning was on and some nice music playing - we thought this is going to be great!. The room was large, bed large and bathroom very spacious. Room was a little dusty, and the TV a bit too small to see well if you wanted to watch a movie from the bed. The room had a small balcony with a nice outlook to the trees but there were so many mosquitos outside we couldn’t use it. We were there for 2 nights and the only time we saw any staff was when we were checking out. The lodge is described as self catering but I could not see any facilities other than a BBQ - there was one table with only 4 chairs - we were lucky that there were very few guests so we were able to use it one night to eat our takeaway meal from town - there were no restaurants nearby. I dont know if there were any facilities available for our use as there was no-one there to explain what was available for our use. The common area looked old and dusty - if you dont want guests please just say your are closed.
We needed a place to stay to break up our drive. Clean and spacious hotel (motel). Pet friendly. Beautiful views outside the hotel. Great continental breakfast: scrambled eggs, toast (great bread), fruit, yogurt, hash browns (skip the coffee). Overall, we would gladly stay there again.
The lady at the check in desk was very polite and helpful. I asked for and extra towel and she gave us one. The room was a bit older but updated with laminate flooring which was nice. The chair was a bit stained but didn't bother us. It was nice to find a reasonably priced motel in Golden on a quiet street. Bed was comfortable. Would stay here again. G Lo
Highly overpriced for what you get. A 20 inch TV., one bath towel per room and Ketchup packet style shampoo/conditioner and $40 extra per night for a small dog. Also be careful, prices for rooms they seem too vary depending on who you are. Was in the lobby and heard rooms being charged out as low as $116 to high of $189. We paid $159+40 for dog plus taxes and our room was in the older part, nothing special. They have posted on sites dogs are $20 but not the case, be careful. Old motel which has been tastefully updated to a point. Clean rooms and grounds are well kept, to a point. Don't look too close or you will see the open garbage stored behind the fence, the indoor pool with scum on it, the make shift wiring, and do it yourself fixes. But on the up side, its in a great location, nice outdoor pool, friendly staff, pet friendly and would consider staying again if the price was right for what you get.
We stayed one night here before flying into a backcountry lodge the next day. The room was just OK. The very tiny bathroom had been renovated so felt quite clean although do not understand why such a large toilet was installed - it took up valuable space and was really too big for the small room. The bed was comfortable but shorter folks needed a footstool to get into it. And my biggest complaint was why were old tattered mattress pad covers used - they did not fit and hung down on the sides of the beds. And the sheets - again did not fit at all. So yes the price is good for a night but otherwise look elsewhere. I am being kind when I indicate it was an “average” experience.

GGuest UserOur king sized bed room was enormous with lots of unused space, a comfortable armchair, fridge, microwave and safe. The bathroom came with individual Dove toiletries and a shower over bath. We stayed for two nights and were very dissapointed with the breakfast. Arriving around 9am on a weekend the only bakery was a few slices of bread and the only fruit were apples. Searting was also very limted. The pancake machine was however one plus. For dinner we crossed the main road to The Bear and Bone restaurant for an excellent meal. The laundry room was most welcome as was the indoor pool for a quick swim.
HHAIQINGThe hotel is located in the center of the town, with convenient transportation, quiet environment, cleanliness and orderliness, and regular American breakfast. I will continue to stay next time. Ctrip.com quickly booked for easy travel
XXIAOTINGVery good hotel, the rooms are all suites with their own kitchen, living room and dining room. The kitchen appliances are complete and of good quality. You can bring your own ingredients for a good meal and solve the Chinese stomach during the journey. The kids in the living room had a great time. The balcony behind the mountain is an activity field. You can pay to participate in various activities in the golden area. There are annual and secondary cards. The price is not expensive. The hotel is about 20 minutes away from the national highway. There is no big supermarket on the way. The supply can be settled in the supermarket below the hotel but it is only open until 19:30. The front desk of the hotel has a good attitude and patience.
GGuest UserI think that a hotel with good value for money is also the happiest one for children. The hotel has free parking, breakfast, the most important hot pool and swimming pool with large water slides. Children like it very much, but the room is quite good, but the room is quite good. Very clean, bathing hot water is very good. There is a Chinese restaurant around. The service staff is very patient and enthusiastic.

小小小指Just on the edge of the highway, this area is the transitional accommodation to Banff, there are many hotels of the same type. This one is relatively small and its facilities are relatively old, but it is cheaper.
Two floors, no elevators, Canada is basically a wooden structure house, there is still noise when you move around. Check-in is fast, check-out is also very simple, as long as you return the front desk key.
The nearby attraction is the pedestrian wooden bridge on the Kicking Horse River.

SSongThe highway was blocked and I couldn't go. I couldn't check the time and left. I canceled because I didn't get back, but I was able to cancel because I was able to see our convenience. Thank you.
