Very elegant and comfortable suite, with many elements of home in a great location with access to the trains and tram. The suite was quiet and secure despite being in the middle of the city. The bed was comfortable, mattress and pillows supportive and comfortable. Towel service was provided on the weekend. W/D was efficient and handy to have en suite. Having a table for four with silverware and dishes was a bonus for takeaway meals. The location was also great for dining out and bringing in.
Stayed here for 1 night as we were attending a gig nearby for the Comedy Festival. Our stay was absolutely flawless, we really loved this hotel. All of the staff were warm, friendly & fun! We enjoyed a drink up on the rooftop bar which was a cute hidden spot and the bar staff were lovely. The room was well equipped and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Loved the furnishings and all the little touches that had been taken care of. We had breakfast in the restaurant the following morning which was delicious - service was quick despite being short staffed. Coffee was fab and the menu options were varied. We all ordered different items and each was better than the other. We parked at the Coles carpark which was only a few minutes walk, undercover and cheap for an overnight stay. Will absolutely stay here again - loved it!

The building is only a few years old but already showing early signs of wear in public areas. However the room itself was very clean and well designed. We stayed in a base rate room and while on the smaller side was ample space for what we needed. The king bed was very comfortable and the shower was spacious and great pressure. A coffee machine with pods is provided. Access to the hotel from the west is extremely easy but if you are approaching from the east there is no way to turn right into the hotel and you have to go a fair way down the road before you can turn around and come all the way back. Once on property there is a nice curved driveway to park while you are checking in. Parking onsite was $35 but as I had read these reviews I knew to ask about the street parking and was told it would cost $15. I said ‘I thought on the weekends it was free’ and they responded ‘oh yes, we can give you complimentary parking’ (Haha). The staff were very friendly. The street parking is on the street along the nearby river (Yarra Blvd) and takes 1 min to walk across a grass parkland to this street. On the weekend it seemed a very quiet street and safe to park. This street parking is metered parking between 8am-5pm Mon- Fri so the hotel can provide a pass for $15 but if your stay is outside these hours you can park for free. The tram station is immediately out the front of this hotel so although it is a fair way from the CBD it is easy access to Melbourne. Our T.V. remote was not working (maybe old batteries) so we were unable to watch T.V. and the clock beside the bed lit up the time while the lights were on but seemed to be light activated because once all lights were switched of it also switched off so you could not see the time during the night - so keep your phone clock handy.
fantastic hotel, staff super friendly, rooms were clean and modern. location is fantastic and everywhere is easily accessible on public transport which stops directly outside.

The rooms were very basic and a bit dated, although they were clean. There were no staff working at the property. The bathrooms were shared with other guests. Overall you get what you pay for. The location was great and was very central to the MCG and Richmond. It is cheap accommodation for anyone looking in Melbourne.
We had an amazing time , great location next to the MCG , the cooking facilities are really good and the staff ae helpful . We just wanted to mention sometimes the shower flooded under the shower currtain.
The place was cheap and did the job for only going there to sleep. Got what we paid for. It’s fine.
The room description said queen size bed but it was definitely a double.
There was mould in the bathroom and no soaps for us to use, only two packets of shampoo.
The aircon was not the best but did the job.
Lots of places throughout the hotel that need a touch up, it’s very old and has had barley any work done.
The entire place has an odd smell of dust and other stuff and I couldn’t stop sneezing the whole time.
Everything was cheap, TV was cheap, towels were cheap, pillow covers were cheap.
But, the staff were lovely and helpful.
The location is very good.
The hotel is beautiful on the outside.
The bed was very comfy.
First of all, the location is very agreeable. George St is quiet, tree-lined, and a short, pleasant walk to the nearby Fitzroy Gardens, and not far from a 7-11 supermarket and most of Melbourne's attractions. This is why I chose Knightsbridge Apartments. As for my room, it wasn't quite as desirable as I had expected from Booking.com but it certainly wasn't bad either. My view was just a brick wall, and yes, some of the paint on the walls, the bathroom window, a few other minor things were a bit shabby, but that didn't really affect my 8-night stay there. The hotel was generally pretty quiet at night (apart from the birds outside), the aircon seemed a bit dry and not really changeable, but the wifi worked adequately for my needs, the telly worked fine (albeit not many channels), the bed, chairs, tables were all comfortable enough. The vending machine in the foyer was useful (and surprisingly quite cheap), and the staff were all polite enough. I had just arrived from the other side of the world, with very little sleep and was glad of only 1 short flight of stairs to my room. It's not a glitzy hotel by any means, it's not even spotlessly clean and decorated, but it's quiet, with adequate facilities and in a great location which meant more to me. I'd give it 3.75/5
