A quaint hotel close to the historic Port Arthur site. We were given a cosy 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen, lounge and dining area so we cooked the food we already had. Great service from the reception staff. Can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat there. I would definitely stay there again. No hesitation in recommending this budget hotel for accommodation.
Amazing location clean rooms great restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful going out of their way to assist with pointing out local attractions that should be visited. Restaurant had a full menu despite having little bookings due to COVID and the food was very good as well as reasonably priced.
On arrival, the staff had already turned on the heat in my room as it was a cold day and opened the restaurant bar for pre dinner drinks. Highly recommend staying at this location
The cabin was gorgeous. The spa in the window with water views was spectacular although it does take a whole hot water cylinder to fill it up so there wasn’t much left over to top it up as it got cold. The provided soaps and hair products are very nice and have a lovely scent. The bed was comfortable and the pillows lush. The best part to the bed was waking up with the curtains open to an awe inspiring sunrise. Perfect start to the day. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and equipment. The variety of tea and coffee was disappointing as was the fact that we had a coffee plunger but nothing to put in it. I loved the fact that as Vodaphone customers we had only 3G service so we were switched off for the weekend. Access to one streaming service would be good but we weren’t overly fussed. The decorations and supplies that went with the Romance Package were perfect and set the scene for a wonderful weekend away. Will definitely head back soon!!

Spent 2 nights here. It was lovely, quite accommodation, with all you need to cook. Lovely gardens to sit and read. So close to Port Arthur historic site. The new owners deserve praise and bent over backwards to help us! They have only owned the business for a few months, and with the attitude they have torwards their customers, they will only bring you back!! If you stay at Port Arthur and need a motel style accommodation, this is definitely the place to stay.
Place is close to everything worth visiting at Port Arthur. Very comfortable place in nature. Cottage is clean with full amenities. Toasty even on a chilly day or night. Always a treat to “go home” after hike, walks and exploring around. Grocery is just around the corner, tasman cruise loading jetty also a mere 3 minutes drive, historic site etc etc etc are all very close. You are in the center of it all so turn left or right and they are really just 5-10minutes drive away. Will definitely return to this place. Highly recommended!
The best experience of the whole journey, BB is located on the mountainside next to the white sand beach, we arrived later, the owner greeted at the door. The room faces the storm bay, the scenery is beautiful, the owner is also a tourist, very talkative, carefully introduce the facilities, provide coffee juice and so on. Breakfast 10 knives, the owner's own continental breakfast, rich in content.
Excellent location, right by the sea, the scenery at the entrance is very good, it takes more than 20 minutes to drive to the Port Arthur historic site, 5 minutes walk from checkerboard array, 10 minutes walk from Eagle Neck

AAnonymous UserFlotsam is well furnished property with a good view of the sea. All you need for a good night's rest. Location is slightly out of the way but a short drive 5 minute from Dunalley. A small kitchen is available if you need to cook.
GGuest UserI started booking our holiday in Tasmania well before we knew that Covid border restrictions would allow us to go. So I ruled out any accommodation, tours and excursions that did not allow free cancellation. Abs By The Bay was one such place. Once we arrived on the island I looked again at Abs and saw that it seemed far superior to the place I had booked for a similar price. This proved to be a good decision. We stayed in the Skippers cottage and it was really excellent. It had almost everything we needed or could imagine that we might need. The setting is lovely in beautiful gardens and a short stroll down to the bay. We stayed for one night and the following morning it was 12 C and windy when we had breakfast. The only table and chairs are outside and it would have been a hassle to move them inside where there was little room. So we ate sitting on the bed. This is my only criticism of the cottage. It should have been built a little bigger so that there was room for a table and chairs. Too late for that now but the place is just a little bit too small to be perfect.
