Mini staycation for the family.
Location was not ideal in the sense that it wasn't close to the motorway and it was considerable travel time from Panania Hotel to say for example Illawong or even Lugarno - it'd have been quicker for us to travel to Lugarno from our place of residence at Penrith.
Nonetheless enjoyed exploring the area, was impressed with the service and food at Panania Hotel.
This hotel is really nice, quiet, clean and convenient for parking. There are restaurants. There is no buffet for breakfast and simple food ordered. Italian-style restaurant for dinner. Beer is expensive, and the boss discounted the drinks.
Brook is the worst receptionist I have ever met, she yelled at another receptionist who was still on training in front of us. She was rude to him and us!!! I also can’t believe there is no bottle of water in the room and I need to pay for it!!!! This hotel is 4 star and almost $200 a night. They can’t even afford water? All facilities are old. The outlet next to my bed was broken. Only good thing about this hotel is the bed is pretty comfortable.
Because I went to the Sydney Bridge to watch the fireworks on December 31, it was already 2am when I returned to the hotel. It was generally good, but the room was slightly smaller, and the entrance was a large bed, but the living was still very warm!
I thought it was close to the airport and booked it for several days, but it is actually in Western Sydney. There are many Asian restaurants and supermarkets around, and there are many restaurants downstairs. Parking is free at the underground parking garage. Bring the parking ticket to the front desk and swipe it. The service is very good. Washing requires 2 Australian dollars, and so does drying. There is a laundry room on each floor, but there is no coin exchange. You need to bring your own. Washing powder is 4 dollars a bag at the front desk, and disposable toothbrushes can be asked at the front desk.
Room is clean. Staff is helpful. Nearby there’s are many Vietnam restaurants
