This apartment is cheap, the sanitary conditions are very good, there are two balconies, the most important thing is to make your own cooking utensils complete, washing machine dryers and even washing clothes are prepared, the key is the geographical location is unique in the central area, the supermarket eats The slot machine arrived in a few minutes, and the friends were very happy. Although they had a little trouble before the check-in, they were arranged very quickly. I plan to go there for two days at the end of this month. I just remind everyone to make a reservation online in China. After the order is confirmed. Be sure to check the password information of the room. There is no key in this apartment. All the doors are opened with secrets. Be sure to remember.
The room is very large, and there is a large jacuzzi, you can check in by yourself, but I don’t have a driver license, and there was a problem with the verification point. I arrived late. I called the hotel at night and the staff sent a code. . No toothpaste, toothbrush cups, no slippers, you need to bring your own, everything else is good, living near Jesmond shopping center is relatively convenient

Shortland Hotel is a great place to meet up with family and friends and suitable for all ages. They have something on every night from cheap food to raffles and special events. Reasonable price food and delicious. The staff were lovely and I'm lucky I can walk there from my house.
Awesome price for what you get. The manager there is absolutely great. Only downside is it’s small drive away from Newcastle but that’s offset by the great price.
If I could give a rating of zero I would! I've stayed in budget accommodation before but this was more like a dirty jail cell. Dirty hallways, the floor in our room felt like it hadn't been vacuumed or mopped for weeks. Tiny moulded plastic shower room that looked like it had been ripped straight out of an old caravan (you couldn't even call it a bathroom!) with a toilet and shower with no shower curtain so water went everywhere as soon as the shower was turned on! The sink to wash your hands was on the other side of the room. The pillows were yellow and brown under the pillowcases so we used our own beach towels as pillows. Our little boy had to sleep in our bed as there was a suspect looking brown stain on the sheets on the bunk above our bed. Oh and to top it off, there were no bath towels as they had 'ran out'! Needless to say we were up super early after our 1 night stay to get out of there. The poor girl on reception the night of our stay looked like she was ready to burst into tears after dealing with several irate holiday makers when I went to ask about the towel situation. Definitely won't be staying here again and will be telling others not to either.
We stayed in an ”executive suite” 4 children and 2 adults. This room was booked and payed for on behalf on an organisation as our baby was having surgery at JHH and we were traveling from a rural area. At the time there was a lot of flooding so our trip took 7+ hours in the pouring rain so we were so happy once we arrived. The facade and entrance are very nice and definitely give a feeling of luxury. Myself, partner and 4 young children were so excited as we don't get away often and when we do unfortunately it isn't for leisurely activities. When I approached the woman at the desk and explained we had a booking and it was already paid and showed the confirmation booking, she said yes she could see the booking but I needed both adult ID. That was no problem, went back to the car and go the ID and returned to the desk. Check in continued when she explained to me that the organization paying for our room had paid but not confirmed payment on the card so until that was done we could not check in. I went back to the car, called the organization and explained what had happened. She said that was no trouble at all and the email had gone through but perhaps to management not check in. So I returned to the foyer where the woman who had started my check in continued to check in 3 other people before me knowing I had 4 young kids in the car waiting, irritable, tired, just travelled 7+ hrs in the rain and hungry plus that she she had already started my check in. The other woman at the desk called me over to start my check in by which point the lady originally checking me in had no guests left to check in. She didn't try and pick up where we had left off but instead watches me explain the story again and then I call the organization to give approval of the credit card. Yes! Finally checked in! Although we didn't get the ” the bar is here, the pool is there, room service this, room service that, breakfast on this floor at this time” ect speech, all that was left out of our welcome. When we arrived in the room with our luggage and 4 kids under 8 in tow it seemed very nice and definitely somewhere we could unwind. However after checking through the rooms and thoroughly make sure there was nothing dangerous or harmful to the children (hover mum after another bad experience finding a used syringe under a mattress at a different motel) I notice a lot of discoloration on the toilet walls but didn't pay too much attention as we were going straight to find something for dinner. That night I had to prep my baby for surgery and fasting and we went to bed early after the long trip. We were up early and at JHH before 6:30am. Not returning until 4-5pm that afternoon when we met in the corridor of the 3rd floor by the original woman who had started our check in. She could even manage a smile or a nod not even a ”hello how's your stay?” She placed her nose to roof and swung her head all the way back. Not sure if that's because we didn't fit the brief of the motel, we techni
I stayed here for one night, a Saturday night. I had a double room upstairs which was small but adequate and comfortable I wasn't aware that most of the rooms use shared bathrooms In the room there was a bed pushed up against the wall on one side, a basin, a chair, clothes rack and heater. Sound proofing almost did exist I could here traffic noise from outside conversations in other rooms and hallways. That night a band played downstairs, thankfully I had earplugs The bathrooms were quite nice 2 toilets, 2 showers ( one was quite large) and 2 basins with mirrors. Very clean and looked recently renovated For what I paid, it locations etc It was excellent value for money and convient to Broadmeadow station ( short ride on Bus 13), Dominoes, IGA supermarket and bottle shop. Very friendly staff and the pub looked well patronised Would definitely consider staying again, now that I know what to expect.
