Made to feel very welcome. The bed was comfortable and TV excellent. However, the patio area had been neglected with a dirty table, animal droppings on the grass and full of weeds. The position and views are great but some TLC is required.
We only stayed one night but the location was worth a longer visit. The motel is located on the outskirts of Halls Gap which was a busy little village the day we visited however it was bliss to stay in the open spaces of the Grampions Motel being overlooked by the Grampions The room we stayed in was a large room with limited kitchen facilities, comfortable bed and bedding, the bathroom has a shower over the spa bath. There was a table and a seating area in the room. There was plenty of space to wander around and enjoy the visits for the local wildlife. We ate dinner in the restaurant which was reasonably priced with a pub style menu. The food was good. There is a bar available for the purchase of drinks to enjoy either sitting on the sunny balcony ot around the cosy fire in the cooler months.
Last weekend we stayed at Grampians View Cottages and Units. The unit 3 that we were assigned was fabulous. It was spotlessly clean, sumptuous crisp bed in a separate bedroom, lounge area and table and chairs, handy kitchen and utensils, beautiful clean shower and a separate toilet. All appliances worked and on a cool night the heater was very efficient. We travelled to Halls Gap for a Birthday Function at the Hotel which was almost across the road. Perfect position. The facilities look abundant for a family holiday with a bar b q area and tennis court. Roaming kangaroos and loads of spacious lawned area would make this a delightful place to stay. The owners were pleasant and welcoming. I highly recommend this venue for your long or short stay in Halls Gap area.

What can you say. We had to ask for toilet paper, yes toilet paper, a tea towel, and a sponge(the one there was gross - well used). We were told 5 other rooms also asked for toilet paper. 2 1/2 hrs later, I went to the office to get the toilet paper. Dead flies on the carpet and in the bathroom, fireplace full of old ash which left smoke smell thru the cottage, mould in the grout in the bath, soup scum on the spa jets(obviously not now going to use the spa). But great bed and hot water. Certainly, this place is becoming run down, and the managers reason was -'it's the staffs fault!'. Even the inground pool was black, not green. Funny, one of the Halls Gap locals knows some staff and has a different storey. And to top it off, someone took our firewood and paper on Saturday, so no open fire for us. Think twice before you book this place. Our outdoor BBQ had no grill plate and was very rusty. Certainly not usable.
Spent a night in one of the cedar cabins . Very clean and comfortable. The new managers, Pam and Shane have made a big difference. They are so friendly, acknowledging everyone they meet around the park. Pam was showing us the hall late afternoon when a guest asked if they were showing the footy there. Pam organised it at short notice all with a smile. It was obvious to us that a good guest experience is important to Pam and Shane. The pool area is well maintained and tidy. The views are great and the park is very family friendly. Great spot for a family holiday.
No longer a Comfort Inn Motel - now a member of the Golden Chain Group. Managers and staff very pleasant. The Restaurant is not open for dinner except for group bookings. However Restaurant is open for breakfast. Motel has 50 plus rooms serviced daily. Picnic area is available in the courtyard. Pleasant outlook onto the mountain ranges. TV reception very poor due to the mountains.
Cabin has everything you need!!! Room was cozy and clean, there was a pantry with pots, pans, utensils - home was also very conveniently located to the city centre! Spotted many wild kangaroos too!
We had a wonderful stay at Grampians Chalets. Despite there being accommodation all up and down the main street, this still felt very private, quiet and intimate, we had a view of a small dam with ducks, cockatoos, magpies and kangaroos to entertain us. The spa bath was lovely and comfortable, great shower, comfortable bed and all the amenities we needed. The host, Peter, was knowledgeable and friendly with a good sense of humour. He also allowed us to charge our EV from external power overnight. Would happily stay again.

The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 9 individually decorated guestrooms, featuring kitchenettes with full-sized refrigerators/freezers and stovetops. Rooms have private balconies. 65-inch flat-screen televisions with digital programming provide entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. Conveniences include separate sitting areas and microwaves.
Outstanding location in regards to the main street and all of the convenience shops and restaurants. The meandering path takes you straight to them, being approx 20-50m away. The rooms are clean and comfortable, a bit outdated but the price point is reflective of that. We had one issue with the shower head not remaining upright in order to take a shower, but this was rectified within 30 minutes. The heated pool area was clean and inviting. I look forward to coming back again.
