Excellent place. Great shopping and food strip across the road. A stroll to Glebe markets. Clean, modern. All the things you would expect. You will float away on the plush mattress like you’re on a cloud. The toiletries are top shelf. Everything you could need is either in the room, can be accessible across the road or delivered to your room. Plus the range of food and food delivery that is at your fingertips in Glebe is amazing. Leafy and quiet area. Easy to get to. Bus stop outside to go anywhere. Not that you need to because it’s all there. Make sure to grab dinner at the toxteth hotel across the road.
Had an amazing experience here during my stay. Staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room itself was clean and comfortable, we had a window overlooking the park which was just perfect! Location was also a major plus - right in the city and walking distance from everything we wanted to do! Would absolutely return next time!
Wouldn’t recommend. Have stayed at nicer hostels in Sydney. There wasn’t great bathroom facilities - not enough toilets or showers for the capacity. There was a severe lack of sinks which I didn’t realise would be such an issue but is! The bathrooms were often dirty and not cleaned regularly. There was a lack of toilet paper constantly. The bed was uncomfortable and pillow was hard. Beds were very loud to get in and out of so felt like I was waking everyone in the room whenever I needed the bathroom. The staff were fine but not overly helpful. On check in we weren’t advised where the kitchen or lounge area was, or what the check out protocol was. When we checked out the staff never advised us what to do with the bed linen. Location was grand for Sydney, a bit further out but wasn’t really a hinderance. There was good public transport. For reference I have stayed at two other Sydney hostels, and plenty of hostels up and down the east coast.
This may not be your regular 4 or 5 star hotel. Let's face it, the rooms are pretty small BUT they're incredibly compact, extremely comfortable, well-presented and extraordinarily clean. In fact, the entire hotel is so scrupulously clean, I knew if my mother were still alive, she'd be declaring the floors so clean ”that you could eat your dinner off them”. Plus, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and professionally friendly. Situated very close to Sydney University and RPA Hospital, there's an express bus-stop to the city right outside the hotel's door, as well as a plethora of shops, pubs, cafes, bars & restaurants within easy walking distance. Onsite undercover parking is also available, but limited - so if you need it, book your space as soon as you can. In summary, Best Western Camperdown Suites is, in these financially difficult times, is indeed fantastic value for money.
Great place to stay. Staff were friendly and only too happy to help when required for any issues that presented themselves. Highly recommend staying there, good location. Restaurant has well priced meals, can charge back to room. Also has room service. Undercover car park is a bit tight when in big 4wds, good height clearance.
The room was clean and the building nice. Cleaning staff are doing their job well. Issues.... Room cards had to be recalibrated as they were for the wrong room on arrival so very lucky we weren't checking in late and getting cards from lock box. Balcony door couldn't be locked and no key to make it secure, in case you have curious children. Microwave had to be lifted over to sit on stove top as the cord didn't reach power point. Toaster is so old that most of the labelling on the front is missing. Radio & cd broken. There's no house keeping but it's inferred that you may receive supplies if needed. At $400 a night I was expecting a little more perfection. It took over 48 hrs for someone to respond, which is unacceptable, and at the same time telling me the balcony door could be locked. Wrong response! My son and I over 3 days continually tried to lock it and it simply 'DIDN'T'! If a guest wanted to they could've accessed it from apartments on the same level. JUST SAYING! It's rather condescending to imply that we were wrong. Then instead of offering to compensate this trip offered a 30% reduced rate for my next stay. Not good enough and I would've have considered a next time if my issues weren't ignored for two days and only after I sent another email outlying my complete dissatisfaction. Reading previous disgruntled guests reviews I'm not certain who the Hotel Manager is as there's three different people responding and stating they're the HM. Steve Huang Timo Lorenzen Shiva Sanjappa A Hotel needs one Manager! Hotel group such as 'Veriu' should listen to their guests, respond quickly and offer a solution that keeps everyone, particularly the guests, happy
Send the child to the University of Sydney to study, the student apartment can only be checked in on the 11th, so the VULCAN hotel opposite the apartment was booked to facilitate luggage handling. We stayed for a total of 8 days and were generally satisfied. The location of the hotel is very good, very close to Broadway Shopping Center, it is very convenient to eat and shop. It is a ten-minute walk to the University of Sydney, the train station, Chinatown, and the Port of Love. We stayed in a standard room, so the room was small but clean, with a small refrigerator and delicious cookies on the bar every day. The bathroom is very small, but the water is very large, so you can take a shower after returning from the outside every day. And the shower room is well-blocked, so don't worry about the water flowing out. The front desk staff is beautiful, friendly and welcoming. We were very satisfied with our stay. Next time I go to Sydney, I will stay again.
Booked Metro Aspire Hotel on Ctrip, stayed for 4 consecutive nights.
There is a guy at the front desk who speaks Chinese. When he is on duty, communication is convenient. Yesterday, I met an Australian white girl who cleaned the room. She took the initiative to communicate with us in Chinese and asked about the cleaning needs. She spoke soft ********* Mandarin. According to her, she learned it by watching ********* TV series. The room is very clean and tidy. The hotel has basic accommodation supplies, but you need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. You need to swipe your card to enter and exit the hotel after 9 pm. The hotel has a restaurant, and there are many people eating breakfast.
