It is equipped with a stove, a refrigerator, a washing machine, a bowl and a pot. It is very convenient. I bought six boxes of eggs in a small supermarket and burned them myself. The hotel has no breakfast to eat on the street, in the supermarket.
The room facilities are very complete and very convenient. The location of the hotel is clean and there are many restaurants nearby. There are various choices. If you want to cook yourself, you can also shop nearby. The service staff is kind and courteous.
The room is large, the bed is not small, no problem for two adults and one child. The hotel is a bit away from the city center, but for those of us who like to measure the city with footsteps, we not only walked to Chinatown, but also to the Wei Ma market (a taxi cost about 10 Australian dollars, called Didi 8 Australian dollars). The reason for the flight to the hotel is very early, and it is not possible to check in early. This is not as flexible as domestic hotels, which is very common in Australia.

Lygon Lodge has always been my go to stay when in Melbourne. It has recently been sold and this was first stay since the sale. The new consortium have continued with the same warm welcome. Lovely reception staff. Improvements were noticeable. I like to stay in a particular room, and once again it felt familiar and comfortable. I have to commend the wonderful cleaning staff, each day they left my room spotlessly clean. Lygon Lodge is in a fabulous location. Close to everything the area has to offer, such as restaurants, cafes & bars, a fabulous arthouse theatre, and wonderful bookshop, amongst other fantastic shops. Public transport nearby. Lygon Lodge ticks all the boxes.

The place is located in a prime Carlton area where you can eat cuisine from different country every day..the place is safe and on until late night/ early morning..the place has a quirky decoration and has all amenities (in fact I liked how techenabled the rooms are). The rooms are very cleqn and are cleaned every day _ one day when it was accidently overlooked, the manager made a point to personally address the cleaning in evening when I returned to the room and brought this to his attention. Last but not the least, the coffee shop in the hotel is just great - you can have amazing coffee and brekkie b4 you start you day here. I would definitely be back to this place whn I m Melbourne, and would happily recommend this to others.

The staff were not following COVID protocols. None wore masks. Day manager actually spoke to us with mask on chin and AROUND the safety barrier. One pen used for everything by everyone. Night manager & staff as well as other guests were all maskless. We were not asked to show proof of our vaccination status. Inspired ZERO confidence that they were actually sanitising anything. My partner also felt unsafe as there were a lot of people loitering around the building. The room was clean and tidy. Located excellently for the event we were attending. Hot water worked, loved the choice of flooring. That was all. The room offered only one single bar of soap. No shower gel, shampoo or any extra toiletries as is expected from even the most basic accomodation you can stay in anywhere else. I have stayed in youth hostels in the outback and even they offered more than a tiny bar of soap. There was no indications of any extra services offered or being available. There were no extra pillows or blankets available in the room. One very flat pillow per person and a thin doona only. The pillows were so low that I could not sleep on it and when I asked for another pillow from the night manager I was met with rudeness. He finally gave me an old, dirty pillow with no pillow case (see photos). When I asked for a pillow case he acted like I was being ridiculous. We slept badly as the bed was very hard. Actually went home and slept as we were so tired from the uncomfortable bed. Upon checkout we got stuck in the lift as the door to the G floor would not open. We finally called for help using the phone but even though the front desk manager answered and said he would be with us immediately he was not. We finally left by going back to our floor and using the fire escape to exit via the basement parking. He then told us he couldn’t hear what we were saying on the phone so basically ignored us, and then gave some rubbish excuse about the one elevator being an old one that was not for guests. Basically if we had not exited the way we did we would have been stuck in the elevator for hours being ignored. There was no signage indicating anywhere that one of the two lifts was not for guests, and if the lift was not for guests you would think it would be clearly marked so.

Melbourne Museum
ZzhaoyyyDuring the Maoben City Walk, we came to the Melbourne Museum, which is well worth a visit. You can learn about Australian history, as well as dinosaurs and various butterfly and insect specimens. It is a good place for popular science.
Carlton Gardens
MMandadadadaLovely place to walk past on the way to the Melbourne museum. This time of the year, there’s autumn leaves covering the walkways. There is even a small pond with some ducks in the corner. And right in front of the royal exhibition hall, there is a fountain where sometimes you will catch couples taking their wedding photos here.
Royal Exhibition Building
Rruth68I have been there twice, once to see the pet exhibition, once to see the flower exhibition, the inside is too big, I have to say that the exhibition organized by the event organizer is very intimate, whether it is the pet exhibition or the flower exhibition is very satisfied. Pet exhibition see a variety of small animals, flower exhibition see a variety of strange flowers and plants, and flower arrangement.
Old Melbourne Gaol
多多多We had a great day in this prison. Our family loves history so this tour was a great experience and an interactive tour that takes you back to the past. My 9-year-old son loves to pretend to be locked up. The prison itself is interesting, especially the display of Ned Kelly. I highly recommend it if you like to learn about history.
Swanston St
Ppxy0705Swanston Street is a famous commercial pedestrian street in Melbourne. Both sides of the street are lined with shops and restaurants of all sizes. There are also many street artists performing on the street, attracting many tourists to stop and watch. It is a place with very Australian street culture characteristics and is well worth a visit.
Lygon Street
Yyangduoduo17Come to this Italian street for dinner, the whole street is also an Italian restaurant, so just consider which one to choose, not what to eat. I come at dusk on weekdays, and there are already many people, Friday or Saturday can be crowded here, so if you want to eat, weekdays will be better.
Medical History Museum
泉泉泉227676This is a museum of medical specialties, which has a lot of medical objects on display, and a lot of medical methods are introduced, and you can learn a lot.
