Lovely little motel, stayed in one of the courtyard rooms. Despite the retro exterior very well appointed, modern and clean. Lovely stay and a short walk into the town and beach made this a great spot.
Located in the center of Besselton, the loft is loft, the lower living room and kitchen (the hotel has cultery), and the upper bedroom and bathroom. Next to it is a hotel run by locals. There are all kinds of common and uncommon wines, which are much cheaper than Sydney. Across the street are coles, and a kilometer away is the beach, perfect for watching the sunset. Overall, the price is not expensive and the facilities are complete.
A nice and cosy place to stay. The room is not big but clean and comfortable.
As we knew there is no elevator, we pack our stuff in an overnight bag so we have no problem carrying it to the room upstairs.
It's very near the Busselton Jetty so we could have a nice stroll along the Jetty during sunset and wow it was beautiful!!
Breakfast was pretty basic but good enough.
We really enjoyed the stay :-)

New and lovely hotel
Bed is large and very comfortable
Room design is excellent
Staff very helpful (staff name Sunny are best staff in hotel)
Location is great to all restaurant and bars
Overall is excellent with great value of money
The room is nice, parking is convenient, there are many places to eat nearby, the back door can be opened for ventilation, there is also a swimming pool, and it takes less than ten minutes to walk to the pier, which is a good experience.
The room was very large and clean. The large kickin and the cooking utensils are substantial and very satisfying. The most fun thing was to eat rice at the desk and chair outside. We liked it and made it in the kitchen every meal and ate it outside. The bedroom was clean and the blinds were adjusted to protect the outside light and private life. I was happy that the shower room also had shampoo, conditioner and body soap, and the wash basin was large. There was also a big sofa and I was very relaxed. The receptionist was really kind and taught me a lot of things and cared about whether we enjoyed it. The room and she were great and we liked it so I would like to stay here again when I come to Baselton.
No breakfast at the hotel. We live in two rooms at 19 and 20. Seven days in Western Australia this place feels the most expensive and the worst, and did not dare to turn on the air conditioner at night. Especially big taste. The room was quite large, with a double bed and a single bed. Facilities are not new.

Outstanding
RRayIt’s my bad by assuming little shangrila is a motel but in fact it’s bnb accommodation, only 2 room available I think. The host is friendly and lead me to the room from car park. Spacious clean room. The down side would be walkway to the room without light at night, its dark even phone light is on,. And, u need a transport in and out from here, would be easy if you have a car.
GGeorgeR21The room has a good view and is cleverly designed. The swimming pool is very comfortable. Smith Beach is easily accessible and is a great choice among nearby hotels. It's a pity that flies are very rampant at the beach during this season, making it a bit inconvenient to go to the beach or rest on the terrace. I hope the hotel will provide some anti-fly equipment in the future to make staying and traveling more comfortable.
GGuest UserWe stayed 6 nights at Yallingup Forest Resort in Sep (early spring) with our baby + 2 young kids.
Pros
- love the forest location - the fresh air, birds
- the location was great! close by many wineries & activities for the kids (yallingup maze, country life farm), a short drive to dunsborough town for Coles, food etc.
- kitchen had enough tools for cooking + oil, salt & pepper provided. we had no issues cooking meals in the kitchen.
- the home was cozy and felt like a home away from home. we were comfortable enough for 6 nights there :)
- any issues are dealt with very efficiently by management (we had issue with the heater and ran out of gas on separate days and both issues were swiftly rectified)
Cons
- no dishwasher & no dryer
- don’t expect fancy or tip-top brand new fittings. doesn’t look very new (at least for the chalet we stayed in) but everything was otherwise clean and comfortable
Also, expect it to get really dark and quiet at night, which you would expect in a forest retreat.
The playground is decent and there’s a small pool which we didn’t get to try as pool is closed for winter months and I guess early spring too.
Overall, a very good deal and great place for spending time with family :)
XXiiMyWorldThe size of the cabin amazed me and my friends. Apparently, you’ll get 2 cabins for family option, one comes with sofa bed, bunk bed, table, board games and another come with double bed, cutleries, fridge and bathroom.
It was a little sad that it was raining and the room we got assigned had flood outside the ground area. Moving between the 2 cabins was also a little troublesome and cold. All in all, will definitely be back to stay!
HHan YewGood location, walkable to beach, apar**ent is spacious, dryer snd washer provided, indoor swimming pool with warm water, reception also provide beach towels. Everythingl is good and sufficient.
BB4daviddamazing location and nice hotel. but the hotel is clearly very stingy on staff. there is not enough and the ones they have are not at all qualified or experienced to provide the service one would expect for the price and a hotel like this. most of the employees are on working holiday visa and it’s very obvious that they only do this job to make some money and not to make a career, so there is a huge lack of service (can’t really blame the staff, since they simply don’t know better and no one teaches them). we also had no wifi in our room and it took them 3 days to come up with the idea to share the wifi egg that they have…. also several times there was a power outage at the hotel.
overall, as nice the location and the hotel is, i would not go back, since the service is at best equivalent to a hostel…

Ccheng1510The tent room I stayed in was quite interesting. The facilities inside were very complete and parking was convenient. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and the stay was very pleasant. I hope I will have the opportunity to come again next time.
TTheresaTake note of check in time. It was Thursday and the check in closes at 6pm. There is secured parking. The room was big and quite clean. It has cooking and laundry facilities. Recommended.
GGuest UserLast time there I gave them the benefit of the doubt. This time however, nothing had changed, it was horrible! Three vertical blinds were missing in the suite, Air conditioner not working properly and no paperwork to show how to fix; No menu for restaurant - had to go down to reception to get them to print one off for me; no towels provided on second day,
Spa Bath was unserviceable as pain in bath was flaking; mattress on the bed appeared to have collapsed on one side and made sleeping on it very uncomfortable; Had a meal in our room on the first night (Caesar Salad); this was terrible and the parmasan cheese was cheap tin cheese and hard as a brick.
When we checked out we attempted to pay with cash. This they refused stating that the motel was cashless. They then charged me a surcharge for using a card. RIP OFF!
They have seen the last of me. Recommend that all should avoid the Abbey Beach Resort. It is very second rate and the service and facilities are shocking.
