Great location, east parking and room was perfect. We stayed one night in a standard room and it was just what we needed. Bed and pillows were comfy, zero noise from the road and nice and dark at night. Walking distance to everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again.

I heard that Brighton is a good area in the suburbs of Melbourne, 20 minutes by train from the city center, 5 minutes walk to the train station, and passing through the Coles supermarket and chain pharmacies along the way. But walking a little far from the beach. There is free parking. A washing machine is provided but there is no laundry detergent or washing powder in a small bag. Kitchenware is provided but there is no basic oil and salt. These are provided in many other apartments, which is particularly inconvenient. Other is ok

We booked our stay via bookings.com in September 2019 for three weeks during the start/middle of October. After our booking was processed, we were asked what time we would arrive, we let the owner know we would be there around 8pm. When we arrived, no one was present. There was a number left on the wall for us to ring when we arrived, we rang the number and got no answer. We waited an hour and a half and no one turned up. Both the back and front doors where open, hence how we where able to get into the building. The front door was unable to be closed due to a busted lock. There where no locks on any of the dorm rooms and every single bed was covered in dirty linen which contained faeces and urine, the smell was horrendous. There was piles of dirty washing left around the hostel, it was clear the place had been neglected for some time. There where nitrous oxide canisters covering some of the beds and although I understand it is a hostel and things like this do happen, that combined with faeces stained linen though isn't acceptable. The sprinkler system had gone off in the past and not been replaced and live wires where hanging out of the walls. Bookings.com initially said there was nothing much they could do and the owner was refusing to refund us, when they emailed her about our complaint, she was very quick to respond saying 'we had 'no basis for a refund'. We then contacted the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal who explained we would need to message the owner and give her some time to come to an agreement with her. Unfortunately, making a case through them can take time so we contacted the bank, who agreed (because they where based in the UK) they would do a charge back to our card and our money would be returned to us. When we tried to message the owner to come to an agreement, her exact words where that the property 'has no electrical issues whatsoever, is properly looked after on a daily basis and is totally safe'. The lights didn't turn on properly, the place was nearly pitch black and we had to use our lights on our phone. There was faeces on beds and dirty linen everywhere, I wouldn't exactly call it hygienic and the sprinklers where broke. The toilets didn't have proper locks on and the kitchen was revolting. My advice, stay clear! We won the charge back claim and our money was returned to us via the bank two weeks later!

I went to stay at Anchorage Apartment Hotel in Hampton Victoria. On arrival the Apartments were hard to find and to park car - we were told on arrival that my car would not fit into car park as its a station wagon. So we parked far from Apartments to unload the car. This took some time. Once into the very small Apartment we then went to find parking for the car,. We eventually did it took us 1.5 hours. Therefore it took for ever to arrive find the Apartments which are directly over a railway line. We were exhausted. We contacted the Hotel and emailed and said we would stay one night and the second we would not. aThe apartment was tiny and didn't feel like a beach village stay. The kitchen we dirty and we cleaned before we used. The bed slid around and the mattress kept moving away from bed base. We didn't feel safe as the door was not so secure. The staff were rude and un accommodating when we arrived and as we had many things in car they said just park outside. We could not do this as we feared people breaking in. They have refused to refund the one night we didnt stay and stating its there policy.. Of course. we are very upset.. We give it a 2 out of ten and dont go stay there. We moved on and found a wonderful place to stay and had a fab holiday.

First unit we utilized the 2-bed, 2 bath unit. It was top notch! If you are looking at booking, it is the unit with no balcony. However, you do have a nice, sunny living area, with wrap-around windows. It also had double layer shades to only block sun, or block sun and light. We had plenty of hot water for showers with three gals enjoying a travel-for-wedding vacation. One notation, if you are going to a wedding, don't be an idiot like me, and assume St. Kilda Townhall (across the street) is the same as Melbourne town hall. If your wedding is at Melbourne townhall, you have a 20 minute uber ride to tackle. Being from the Rocky Mountain region in the US, I enjoyed the sounds from the tram moving by the apartment. It was novel. You may want to consider this if you are a light sleeper though (only in 2bed/2 bath. The other unit we rented was on the rear alley side of the building, so no trolley noise there). The unit was exceptionally clean. Next, we stayed in the unit displayed as 2 bed/1 bath. Upon move in, we found there was actually a tiny powder room in the hallway with a toilet. So there were two toilets, one shower. The balcony was massive, with a 6 person table, and entire living space with outdoor sofas. If you are there in the summer, this unit would be amazing! It was still slightly chilly in mid November, so we did not utilize it much. But it was all clean and in nice repair. One of the bedrooms has a walk-in closet, as well as a door to the huge terrace. A few things to point out about both units overall: They provided a generous amount of starter coffee, tea, dish detergent, washing machine detergent (at least enough for 2 loads on both). There was a tidy ironing board, iron, air drying clothes rack, vacuum, and hair dryer. We realised you must leave the closet open when using the tumbler, as it vents the moisture back into the apartments, not outside. We came back to water everywhere, not realising it would blow the moist air back into the closet. Just leave the closet doors open, and it will not create condensation dripping on the floor. I would recommend the property get spatulas for making pancakes and eggs. They did have a corkscrew, that was nice! There is only one wall style mitsubishi heater in the apartments. so if you are there in the winter, you may want to buy/pack blankets, as the heater does not do much for the bedrooms. even the living space was a bit chilly on cold days. That said, in November, I thought the bedding was very cozy and warm. Just glad I brought a blanket for the sofa. Location was awesome! Dominoes pizza is next door & open late (and has gluten free pizza). Loads of cool vintage shops on Carlisle Street, about a 5 minute walk away. There are also multiple big supermarkets on Carlisle. Plenty of nice bars, Asian restaurants, & coffee shops too. Uber costed about 15-20 USD in November 2022 to get to Downtown Melbs. Walking to the bay and fun park on the water took about 20 minutes. If you don't mind taking the tram to the beach, you can consider making the tram a few stops. You can experience unique traffic. Walk in a quiet residential area for 3 minutes. There is No. 16 car to the beach. The beach is empress station. There is a swimming pool and fitness facilities in the city. The laundry room can wash all the dirty clothes during the trip. It ’s so cool. The garden-style hotel is better than those on the beach. I like this peaceful beach a lot of mental illness because St Kilda has a lot Weirdos and marijuana beggars are not as good as living in this area. What are the bad things to say? I think some people may think the room is a bit old-fashioned? My room is a SPA room. The door opened is a small yard. It is very comfortable. My son likes it. It is better than the seaside ridges. The space is larger and more casual. The best is two nights. Enjoy the facilities.

I stay here regularly when in town because the location is great and the Accor group has a commitment to Covid-safe cleaning practices. On this stay, there were very high winds and I discovered this trip that the building has a unique wind-tunnelling issue. The hallways ”sing” with a high-pitched squeal through the vents. No worries, the rooms have fire doors and the minute the door to the room is shut, the sound is blocked out. In my case, the little mechanism at the bottom of the door didn't seal off, which meant the sound continued. The concierge changed my room immediately - brilliant! Only issue was that there are many fingermarks on door handle backplates, so I cleaned them all myself. Also, I was verbally harassed by a guest for choosing to wear a mask in the lift. Not at all the Sebel's fault; just a disappointing end to a lovely stay.
