The service rendered by the hotel was excellent. We also enjoyed the facilities offered by the hotel such as sauna and swimming pool. We had no chance to experience the breakfast at your hotel, but surely will try it the next time we stay there. The receptionist was amazing and our check-in process was a smooth one. Good location and few walks only to go to the city center. In overall, our experience is beyond what we expected beforehand. Thank you Mantra!

Saw the reviews and was not expecting much. I have been surprised to be honest. The reception was helpful, check in was quick and easy. Our room was clean, well equipped and the bed, lovely and soft and we had the best nights sleep. The only gripe was the communal area toilets were grubby but that’s down to dirty people. You get what you pay for and we were comfortable and can only speak of our experience.

Very basic budget accommodation, just good enough for spending one night. I arrived late, there was one computer in the main entrance to check in, no signs indicating that it was the computer to check in and out. For the check out the drop off box for depositing the keycard is not signalled and small, the carpets on the G floor are dirty. The shared bathroom was clean, only 2 cubicles for shower and 2 for toilet . The room was clean. No kettle, mini fridge. The smart tv wasn’t really smart, there’s no way to make it work. Location was good, plenty of free car park.

Pretty standard hotel, not good value for money in my opinion. The TV in my room was neither tuned in or connected to the internet, so a redundant piece of plastic. The check in was fine, but had to prompt for all useful information. The person seemed like they were new but checkin is pretty repeatable!
Overall, it’s clean, ok location but overpriced.

Had a nice night’s accommodation at the Rex & a good night’s sleep. Front desk staff were efficient & courteous. Parking was tight but ok. Foyer was welcoming & easy directions to find our room. Spacious bedroom & plenty of room to move about so was good all round. Would recommend the Canberra Rex!!

After studying in Canberra, I came back to travel and liked the hotel with a microwave oven with a refrigerator. The room is large, very clean and very convenient in the city.

Avenue Hotel Canberra - Our room was lovely and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bed was very comfortable after a long drive from Brisbane. Room was maintained very well and check in/out was very straightforward. We will definitely look to stay again if we decide to come back on day! Marble and Grain - The waitress was coughing over all the serviettes she was folding and not covering her mouth or washing her hands. Had plates on our table and no one came up to clear them until a minute before we left. There was hardly any food left and there was only a small selection for $34 a head. Bacon was super greasy and scrambled eggs were very watery and cold. Staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. Coffee was okay. No one in the kitchen was wearing a hairnet or gloves when preparing food. Overall a great stay, highly recommended.

700 per night and 900 per night for two consecutive nights. The location is very good and it is convenient to go anywhere by car. However, the room is damp and smells a bit as soon as you enter. The toilet is slippery and there is a slight slope.
The shower head is a top type and the water pressure and temperature are sufficient. The bathroom mirror is quite large, so the sisters have room to put their makeup.
Free mini bar, Coke, Sprite, white wine, red wine, beer*2, water and milk.
Check out at 11:00, or 12:00 at the latest, just talk to the front desk.
🅿️15🔪 one day. The hotel and Wilson share a parking lot. The entrance is on the side of the hotel (turn left at the roundabout in the direction of the gate). Get a ticket at the entrance. There are parking spaces only 15min for check in, and there are also ordinary parking spaces. If you want to check in immediately, park directly in the ordinary parking lot. Yes, you can swipe your ticket to the front desk when you check in. You can use this ticket (the same one!) to enter and exit multiple times 24 hours a day.

GGuest User700 per night and 900 per night for two consecutive nights. The location is very good and it is convenient to go anywhere by car. However, the room is damp and smells a bit as soon as you enter. The toilet is slippery and there is a slight slope.
The shower head is a top type and the water pressure and temperature are sufficient. The bathroom mirror is quite large, so the sisters have room to put their makeup.
Free mini bar, Coke, Sprite, white wine, red wine, beer*2, water and milk.
Check out at 11:00, or 12:00 at the latest, just talk to the front desk.
🅿️15🔪 one day. The hotel and Wilson share a parking lot. The entrance is on the side of the hotel (turn left at the roundabout in the direction of the gate). Get a ticket at the entrance. There are parking spaces only 15min for check in, and there are also ordinary parking spaces. If you want to check in immediately, park directly in the ordinary parking lot. Yes, you can swipe your ticket to the front desk when you check in. You can use this ticket (the same one!) to enter and exit multiple times 24 hours a day.
It's okay. I'm staying there.

GGuest UserVery basic budget accommodation, just good enough for spending one night. I arrived late, there was one computer in the main entrance to check in, no signs indicating that it was the computer to check in and out. For the check out the drop off box for depositing the keycard is not signalled and small, the carpets on the G floor are dirty. The shared bathroom was clean, only 2 cubicles for shower and 2 for toilet . The room was clean. No kettle, mini fridge. The smart tv wasn’t really smart, there’s no way to make it work. Location was good, plenty of free car park.

GGuest UserSaw the reviews and was not expecting much. I have been surprised to be honest. The reception was helpful, check in was quick and easy. Our room was clean, well equipped and the bed, lovely and soft and we had the best nights sleep. The only gripe was the communal area toilets were grubby but that’s down to dirty people. You get what you pay for and we were comfortable and can only speak of our experience.

GGuest UserHad a nice night’s accommodation at the Rex & a good night’s sleep. Front desk staff were efficient & courteous. Parking was tight but ok. Foyer was welcoming & easy directions to find our room. Spacious bedroom & plenty of room to move about so was good all round. Would recommend the Canberra Rex!!

KKurniawanThe service rendered by the hotel was excellent. We also enjoyed the facilities offered by the hotel such as sauna and swimming pool. We had no chance to experience the breakfast at your hotel, but surely will try it the next time we stay there. The receptionist was amazing and our check-in process was a smooth one. Good location and few walks only to go to the city center. In overall, our experience is beyond what we expected beforehand. Thank you Mantra!

PPowerPretty standard hotel, not good value for money in my opinion. The TV in my room was neither tuned in or connected to the internet, so a redundant piece of plastic. The check in was fine, but had to prompt for all useful information. The person seemed like they were new but checkin is pretty repeatable!
Overall, it’s clean, ok location but overpriced.
