Find the Cheap American River Hotels

It locates at American River island, ~40min driving from ferry terminal. The receptionist ladies who checked in for us and checked out for us were so friendly and nice. They made us very welcome. The room was very spacious, and faced to the river. Amazing view. Although it was near the street, the room was quite during my stay. No noises heard at that time. The bed was comforty and large. The bathroom was a bit small than what i thought. But it is okay. All facilities are included. The room was provided with microwave/cutley... Also they provide me with complimentary a bottle of wine, biscuits, potato chips and cookies. So glad that we did not need starving until next day (as we came late and no restaurant was open on KI) The breakfast was good, better food and coffee than other Cafe outside. The lady Yuki was very nice and friendly We definitely will come back again and recommend to other friends of mine.

Leasha is an amazing chef and our meals were incredibly tasty. Self contained clean accomodation (3 in total) with queen size bed and ensuite. Includes bar fridge, kettle and toaster. If you want to self cater there is a camp kitchen. Quiet area not far from the ferry at Penneshaw or local wineries. Great spot to explore the Dudley Peninsula on Kangaroo Island. Would stay again.

Friendly staff. Gorgeous glamping tent, really spacious and comfy bed. Nice location. Kitchen however only has microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. Outdoor BBQ. Showers were cold but I only showered late in the evening so possibly could have been hot first thing in the morning.

A great place to stay very near the ferry terminal for Kangaroo Island. We stayed in a lodge/chalet and recommend you try and get one of these for your stay it is ‘self contained’ and has en suite bedroom and lounge/diner. Excellent car parking. A good restaurant on site ‘The Kiosk’ and the pub nearby also does great food. The hotel has a swimming pool and a crazy golf/putting course. A very comfortable stay and highly recommend.

A lovely place to stay in Kingscote and literally across the street from the bay. The owners were wonderful and prompt with communication at all stages and offered helpful suggestions on places to visit. Villa was spacious with plenty of storage space - could definitely stay here for a week or two! It was a 2 BR unit, but we only used one of the bedrooms. Villa and decor were contemporary. Kitchen had basic necessities in terms of dishes/glasses/flatware (pretty much just four of each) - which seem to be consistent, if not generous, among apartments and apartment hotels in Australia. Many other nice touches, including a liter of milk, local coffees and teas, and assorted cereals. Plenty of dish detergent, clothes detergent and bath towels. There is a washing machine, but no dryer; a drying rack is provided. Wi-fi was excellent. Nice to have adjoining private garage.

The hotel environment is very good, quiet and comfortable, right by the sea, the room has a beautiful sea view. You can walk to the pier and the city along the main road, but come back as early as possible at night. Only one side of the road is a little dark, although it is not dangerous.
