Delighted with our 3rd stay at this welcoming hotel in perfect location in centre of beautiful Cirencester. Enjoyed the most comfortable and well appointed room, bathroom and all amenities provided. Service is perfect, be it at reception, the bar or restaurant. Breakfast is always a treat, delicious and plentiful. Thank you all at the King’s Head.

When I take shower, suddenly no hot water. No telephone in the room. If I need anything, I need to go down to lobby. No convenience, Nobody clean up the room

Great Hotel in lovely location - have stayed a few times and loved it - however unfortunately this time was let down by staff shortage - my Room was not cleaned or any fresh towels amd products replaced . Reception desk was often no one there - my card key for room did not work - twice had to go back down to replace and had to wait along time in both occassions as no one on reception - it ruined my stay ,this time.

Very satisfied, the cleaning was very clean, especially when the airport drop-off driver lost contact, the hotel staff asked the manager for instructions and quickly sent us to the airport. I was very touched and thank you sincerely!

We had a lovely stay at the Kings Head. Our room was full of character although unfortunately our heating was not working and there was an issue with one of the boilers so we also only had a luke warm shower. Otherwise everything else was perfect. The spa is beautiful. Breakfast in the brassiere was lovely. I would definitely come back.

This hotel was very convenient to the shops and bars .The only disappointment that bottle of water in the room was chargeable at £4 which really is going too far based on the standard of the hotel where this is normally complimentary.

Unfortunately lift was out of use when we stayed, My wife has serious knee issues which meant climbing the stairs was painful for her. Luckily the Hotel had a first floor room which we managed to get to. However it was not the room we had asked for, although lovely and spacious, somewhat dark and dreary in furnishings and colour. We had said we preferred contemporary decor on our booking, it was the opposite. Probably the lift issue. The bathroom was very cold throughout our stay and despite notifying reception we could not get the bathroom towel rail to work resulting in a cold bathroom and damp towels. Lovely meal in the restaurant although the cooked breakfast was tepid as the burners under the Bain Maries had all gone out and no one attended them. We noted several others had left their cooked breakfasts. Reception staff most delightful check in and check out. This was our second stay but sadly we left a little underwhelmed on this occasion.

The hotel was nice overall. We stayed in one of their apartments. The only issues we had were that to get to our apartment, we had to walk down corridors that were narrow with several turns and my wife and I are in our seventy’s so it took several minutes and some effort to move ourselves and our luggage to our room. Also, the heater in our room was not working. The staff were very friendly and helpful and brought us a space heater that worked very well. Overall, the stay was a good value for the cost and we would stay again.

I've been traveling and staying in hotels for the last 7 months and the first time I've had a billing problem was at this hotel. Despite spending a lot of time on the issue, and sending screen shots of my credit card bill, they still can't tell me what I've been charged for. Most hotels have systems that can tell you right away exactly what you've been charged for, but not the case here. Also beware the apartments. They require a very long and narrow walk, and a number of stairs, to get to. So if you have a lot of bags, this is not the room type for you.

We booked a mobility room for our parents. Unfortunately, there’s only 1 lift which broke down. The hotel did not have a contingency plan in place to be able to help disabled guests. And the only way to the room was by a very slow 15 minute, badly lit walk for our parents around the block, up a lift in neighbouring building and down a couple of steps to access the room. The lift was still not fixed by 9.45am the next morning when we had to leave. We had to ask for help from the hotel as it was not offered and there was no concern whatsoever for people stuck in mobility rooms. We went out to purchase breakfast to take to our parents. When the hotel manager realized, they did suggest that they could have provided breakfast to the room. However, it was a gesture too late and simply reactive. It was clear there was no suitable contingency plan for these type of events. Wouldn’t like to think about escaping in a fire! The hotel refused to refund the full night’s stay. However, they did end up agreeing to a partial refund. Again, we had to ask. We only received excuses that the lift doesn’t usually break down. It is surprising that this hotel can advertise mobility rooms without a 2nd plan in place for these type of events.

While the property felt like a winding maze inside a midevil fortress (and it probably was), it was a wonderfully comfortable and quiet place to stay. The "apartment" was spacious and well equipped - way more space than I needed, but was all that was available. Certainly not ADA approved, but it worked great for us. And English breakfast buffet was amazing.

Apartments are a mile from check in, try rolling 4 large suitcases on buckled carpet up and downstairs for a mile! Horrible! I would never stay here again.
