UNCLEAN - To begin with, the corridors look like they haven’t been hoovered for months, the rooms have so much visible dust and dirt everywhere, including stains on the walls, sheets, lampshades etc. ***** found in bathtub and on spare pillows (there was three of us staying in the room and only two pillows to spare). SLOW SERVICE - The staff said they had had a busy day and were behind. Maybe just understaffed. But every-time we went to the reception there was nobody there to try and rectify our issues. One morning there was a sign saying they were helping in the restaurant, are they the cleaners too and is this why the cleaning is MINIMAL. DEAD RESTAURANT - We went on our first evening here down for the restaurant for a drink, deciding whether we would go fro breakfast in the morning. Glad we did not pay for this with the booking as we were the only ones in there. The KP was in the bar putting their hands in their mouth, along with some other unsanitary looking issues regarding the kitchen. Furthermore, the member of staff on the bar made a passing comment regarding Coke (seeming to perhaps to refer to the non liquid type). We do realise this is a relatively cheap stay but this is bare minimal expectations for anywhere you stay.

We have stayed at this hotel and used it as a base for short breaks for the past few years. Unfortunately, this month’s visit was disappointing. I had read that some of the restaurants linked to Premier Inn had been closed to the public, but that was not made clear about this specific hotel. We arrived and expected to be able to go for a drink as we have done many times before. The person on reception said that the restaurant opening time was 6pm. (The signage saying cocktails from 5pm hasn’t been changed!) We then left and went to the Bees Knees instead (fully recommend) and spent our money there. And speaking to the staff there we are clearly not the first to have done this. We never eat dinner at the hotel as there’s a restaurant we enjoy visiting in the area. But when we arrived home, we saw a sign saying that the restaurant wouldn’t be open due to unforeseen circumstances. Hopefully those guests who were expecting food were happy to have McDonalds instead! The other issue was the temperature in the room. Air con is great but we shouldn’t need to rely on it overnight in the UK. The ability to open a window would be amazing. It is a decent hotel in a good location, but plan to eat and drink elsewhere!

Was a great base for travelling around the Cotswolds was really nice and clean hotel staff were friendly and I will be staying here again only 1 thing shame it wasn’t a buffet breakfast like other premier inns you have to order the cooked food.

Great location for our needs and very reasonably priced at time of booking. Friendly staff although had to wait a few minutes for someone to attend to our check-in. Ended up not eating breakfast on this occasion but previous experience tells that food is generally pretty good.

Can’t be disappointed with a Premier Inn. Friendly staff, warm comfortable room, comfy beds and pillows. Food was ‘Beefeater’ style, but no longer a Beefeater, which on speaking with a local, is very disappointing and much missed. Didn’t stay for breakfast this time - cheaper to go to Macdonalds. Hair dryer not very powerful for drying thick long hair.

Easily accessible from ring road on a retail site where Tesco, Aldi and McDonalds have outlets but there's no noise as one would expect. It makes visits to villages very easy. Walk into Cirencester from Inn is 1 mile, 25 mins walk. Easy book in, car parking free but you must register your vehicle reg no in reception. Room was ready early, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was large, comfortable and clean. Heating easy to turn on and off and adjust to climate. Tea making facilities in room with extra supplies available in reception. Lift to room if you were on 1st or 2nd floors. We would, without hesitation, use this Inn again.

Please be aware that if you're paying for a plus room, you won't get one here! Have stayed in many premier inns, most recently in plus rooms. The booking was for a plus room and when we got to the room, it wasn't! Plus rooms have a walk in shower, as per the photos on their booking site and web site. This one had the standard bath/step over shower. Went back to reception to be told, by a very pleasant chap, that the one we were given is a plus room for this hotel.

Lovely hotel but poor experience. Booked 2 rooms including 1 for elderly relatives. Bleach stains on carpet in 1 room (per previous visitor review) and tea and coffee not replenished and stinking blocked sink in our room, very helpful staff member tried to unblock with a plunger at midnight and mentioned serious issues with housekeeping. No cooked breakfasts available due to staffing issues. TripAdvisor shows these issues have been ongoing for many weeks and despite paying for Premier Plus rooms then room with bleached carpets continues to be rented out. What a disgrace for what was previously an excellent hotel
