This place is beautiful! Design of rooms (we stayed in Serra), pool, restaurant (indoor and outdoor) and the view over the Tuscan hills are amazing. We appreciated the good taste of everything. If you look for a quiet place, intimate and elegant relatively close to Montalcino / Pienza, Val d’Orcia, this is the place. The food is tasty, but there are limited choices. Nevertheless, for a 2-3 days stay, it should be fine.

We choose this hotel based on the great experience of our friends and, also, multiple reviews from other guests. Unfortunately, not the same experience. Service was … unfriendly.. to say at least. One of the owners made us feel unwelcome from the beginning. After driving for several hours to Tuscany, last 10 min on challenging entrance road to the hotel make us completely exhausted. No welcome sympathy… just dry check in. Unfortunately, no member of staff who can speak English. Hotel is in charming, with fantastic pneumatique view but very isolated. Out of 6 days of stay, 3 days were not available for dinner. Last minute notes, means, we found out about it at the breakfast. No alternatives suggested, no other options or help to make holidays easier. Do it yourself. The dinners which we had, were very simple but very expensive. Wine list limited. Again, no suggestions or help from the staff. Nice pool. But , again , do not expect anybody to look after you: offer a drink (30 degrees outside) or just simply be interested in well-being of your guests… After few days , I just wanted to escape.. and I did .. When book you book this hotel , make sure Elisabetta will be there; without her its nightmare!!!

Our 4 day stay could not have been more relaxing and wonderful. The setting of this lovely estate, of 8 rooms, on top of the hills, allows uninterrupted & spectacular views from any place of the territory. The pool area offers utmost tranquility again with breathtaking views of the rolling Tuscan - hills allowing pure enjoyment. Room was the size of an apartment, charmingly furnished, with a private terrace facing the sun-set-side, including outside table and sun beds. Adjacent to the dining area is a spectacular terrace with lounge chairs, inviting for Aperitivo’ while inhaling the stunning undisrupted countryside, which can also be enjoyed for breakfasts. Delicious Food composed out of freshest ingredients and a good wine list can be enjoyed in a gorgeous dining room, with a generous buffet of delicious appetisers. Beatrice, more than just a host, will make your stay extraordinary. If you look for a Tuscan escape in a picturesque, movie-like setting, away from noise and troubles, seek no more. We stayed last week for 2 days in the Luxury Suite. The good things were its beautiful, isolated location, a stunning view from the vanishing edge pool, and the beautiful grounds. The suite was very spacious with a private outside sitting area. The bad thing was the non-functioning air conditioning. The outside temperature was 92F, and inside it could not get cooler than 85F. The airco came repeatedly on for 10 seconds and then shut off for a minute, while the air coming out wasn't even cold. Staff kept saying to us this was normal. On top of this there is a shower in the middle of the room (with open ceiling) with no ventilation/exhaust system, which made the suite also very humid. Staff could not offer a simple fan and the place is too isolated to buy one. Other guests complained about this to us as well. So if you cannot stand heat and humidity, this place is not for you. Other than this everything is wonderful.

The La Dimora accommodation is stunning. It is situated in a very quiet place with a view over the beautiful hilly landscape. The accommodation offers everything we could have wished for - We were looking for peace and romance, for something authentic, stylish and with a familiar atmosphere. That is exactly what we found at La Dimora. The hosts are very friendly and make their guests feel at home. Particularly worth mentioning is the exceptionally fine and fresh food from breakfast to dinner, the enchanting pool area with a view of the vast hilly landscape and the beautiful rooms, which are furnished and maintained with great attention to detail. We can only recommend the accommodation and will certainly return there a few more times ourselves.

Sand road to heaven!
The place was great! Food from their was amazing but also a bit expensive. Poolarea was so beautiful and the view was amazing! Only negative thing is that the wine tasting is not in hotel, need to take own car drive for that. Also the last 2km was sand road, which was not that good shape.

We were disappointed with the facilities at the property. We enter the room paid 400 euros per night, only sparkling water in the minibar, we call to ask for still water and they reply that we can drink the water from the "bathroom" tap.... Never heard of it before.... The breakfasts with important things that if you didn't get there early you wouldn't find anything and it wouldn't be restocked... You don't have the chance to get an ice cream, a coke, a beer... We had to go to a bar 10 minutes away by car on a dirt road. illuminated and destroyed "impractical" to stock up on supplies to keep in the room... And much more... The structure is very beautiful but poorly managed...

The location is not bad but it needs to be reviewed from many points of view. The only thing you can do is spend the day by the pool where there is no bar service at all so you are abandoned under the sun. Lunch and dinner are served at set times and everyone is in bed at 10.30pm. The lights go out and we grope in the darkness of the Tuscan countryside. The rooms are all different and you don't have the opportunity to choose them so when you arrive it is the owner who assigns them based on "his criteria"! The lunch and dinner menu is very basic and the portions are small. No possibility of having fresh fruit or a juicer, sunbeds without sunshades and the aperitif is based on chips! All this for a staggering sum!!!
