Hotel le Cilaos

We went there with my husband, total disappointment. Small room, no air conditioning, bathroom in poor condition. Fortunately the bedding was good. In terms of catering, I had no words, worthy of a cafeteria and not a 4 star (uncooked rice, tomato pasta, dry and tasteless chicken… To summarize, move on. You can find 3 star hotels of better quality.

Stay not recommended We stayed 3 days at Cilaos to our great regret, the staff is absent and doesn't care about your presence!! The restaurant is more than mediocre, a school canteen would serve you better… One evening we even bought samosas in town and ate in our room we had a better evening Too bad because the hotel is pretty and the swimming pool is heated This place does not deserve not 4 stars Fortunately we went through the meeting and went to more welcoming and better quality hotels

The staff are relatively friendly...but do what they can. The service is clearly not that of a four star! Arrived in the room (neither terrace nor balcony!) the light does not work. They change our room. The latter has a small terrace, which is better. but... the bathroom is in the bedroom, in full view of pool users. there is indeed a thin curtain... but the second is absent. The card system with the glass door key attached to it, what a hassle! As soon as we are going to open or close the door, the light is cut leaving us in the fenoir! Regarding meals, on Saturday evening, all-you-can-eat buffet; nothing to say. Sunday morning breakfast, ditto. On the other hand, on Sunday evening it is "service on the plate"; a little "shaved", and for a "gastronomic menu" it will be necessary to iron: salad of gizzards with dates (...) without vinaigrette or very little. Filet of spearfish or roast pork; no better than at "Gégé". For dessert, a homemade cake with a scoop of ice cream... The next morning, same thing: no buffet. When we question the staff, who are moreover very friendly, we learn that the receptionist has been there for a week; she seems a little lost... As for the "butler/waiter", he is a mechanic and was hired quickly just like that to pay for his driving license. He is dressed in a white shirt crumpled out of his pants and he is wearing blue sneakers... The icing on the cake: after the Sunday evening meal, at 10:15 p.m., we find the doors closed to return to our room. the reception is closed (even though it is supposed to close at 11:00 p.m.) and the interior or exterior doors are closed. we have to call the waitress to lead us to our room by another access. The four stars seem well usurped. We nevertheless had a pleasant stay in pleasant surroundings.

Much appreciated decoration, billiards, table tennis, heated swimming pool. Very friendly bar Pleasant, cosy, charming rooms. Hearty breakfast, very attentive service, excellent personalized advice. Varied, neat restaurant

Un hôtel chaleureux. Le bâtiment est propre. Nous avons à faire à une équipe très sympathique et professionnelle, toujours souriante. La carte est un peu restreinte mais la cuisine est bonne. La piscine est chauffée et vous avez la possibilité de d’utiliser les jacuzzi.
