The price/performance ratio is very high. It includes three meals a day and a buffet. In a place where supplies are scarce, every meal includes mutton and beef. It’s really great. Drinks are also free. It’s really great. The hotel is right on the beach.

We were here for New Year’s Eve 2022 and the best thing about the hotel was the party on the roof terrace with live music and lots of locals there to say farewell to 2022. The hotel is in a beautiful building with gorgeous painted tiles, several courtyards and a lovely pool with plenty of sun loungers. Food however was not very good and we found the staff a little aloof. Views from the roof terrace are spectacular and if you decide to stay in Cienfuegos this may be the best choice. We were underwhelmed by Cienfuegos itself though.

With its magnificent location in the well-known residential area of Punta Gorda, in the southern city of Cienfuegos, the Jagua is considered one of Cuba\'s most famous hotels. It rises over the waters of Cienfuegos Bay – take a south-facing room for the panoramic vistas over the bay and the Mughal-style Palacio del Valle. Built in Modernist style in the 1950s, it was recently revamped in sophisticated contemporary style. Today the lobby, with its acres of glass walls on three sides, is both colorful and exciting, with its contemporary art and equally avant-garde furniture.

Stayed here for one night on a TUI Cuba experience tour. The hotel was a great relief after the other hotels we had stayed in. The whole place was clean and the rooms lovely. The bathroom was wonderful with lots of hot water all the girls on the tour took advantage to wash and condition our hair. We had a lovely walk around and a nice snack. The staff are all very friendly and breakfast was nice with a great view.

Palace of the beginning of the XX century (1912) and beautiful baroque architecture, unbeatable located in the heart of the city just 100 meters from the Martí Park and 300 meters from the beautiful bay of Cienfuegos.Thanks to its excellent location in the historic center of the city, in a few minutes you can visit the boulevard a pedestrian avenue with shopping and craft centers, restaurants and cafes, the city museum, the cathedral church and the Tomas Terry Theater.Our hostel has several rooms, spacious and elegant, exquisitely decorated with classic style furnishings.It also has a beautiful colonial patio and large terraces, decorated with ornamental plants and furniture suitable for the delight of the guests.On the third floor is the lookout with a large terrace, from which you can enjoy excellent panoramic views of the entire city and the beautiful bay.The house has spacious bedrooms, all with more than 25 square meters, decorated with an elegant design and wooden furniture in classic style, with double beds and air conditioning with Split type air conditioning. Very large bathrooms with hot and cold water.Guests can enjoy breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner offered by the chef's excellent menu, both in the official dining room, the colonial patio or the terraces.

The road to the hotel was surprisingly good, and very picturesque when driving over the dam. The hotel looks a bit tired, but the room was fine and the bathroom very good. We had a view over the pool and lake, which was wonderful at sunrise. There was an interconnecting door with the next room which had absolutely no sound-proofing, so we could hear everything they said and the TV blaring into the early hours. There was entertainment outside until about 10.30pm which was very loud, but the guests seemed to enjoy it. The food was uninspiring but edible. We took the half-day boat trip to a pretty waterfall and it it had been warmer, we would have swum in the natural pool at the bottom. We were then taken to a lakeside restaurant and served a lovely lunch which included slow-cooked pork: it was the best pork I ate in the fortnight I was in Cuba. Apparently there is also a full-day boat trip to two waterfalls, so we plan to go back and do that one too - I recommend putting on your swimming costume under your clothes, as there is nowhere to change when you reach the waterfall. If you decide to walk up the side of the waterfall, be really careful as the rocks are slippery; I did fall over and came back with a couple of bruises as well as a slightly dented camera.

Adequate, small, quaint hotel, good for our two night stay. My husband and I went on a 10 day, People to People Tour of Cuba and stayed, while in Trinidad. Our room was okay, nothing to write home about. Probably, one of the best available in this Unesco city. Safety deposit box did not work. We inquired and management said that all the safety deposit boxes were not working. Small pool, which we did not have time to use. Wifi worked for a few hours and had to be reconnected frequently. Again, very ”normal” in Cuba. Breakfast was mediocre. Eggs and more eggs, some toast, and good coffee ( I ordered capuccino). Electric power was out several times during our stay. Generator took over after a few minutes. We understood that this was ”normal” in most of Cuba. No complaints. Overall, adequate stay.

The hotel is a very good place to spend a good time between family and friends. As well as the facilities of Canyes Ranchon hotels Central and America, these latter in the heart of the city gives us the opportunity to enjoy in family and friends where their dependents make the difference, There is a place that makes me not only return but makes me feel at home that is the Granjita hotel where all without exception are simply spectacular thanks to thousand for so much attention.
