Starway Hotel is a fantastic budget hotel in Qindaohu.
We stayed at the suite. It was very clean and spacious and had stunning views of the lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Totally recommend.

Location is next to the lake and has a supermarket nearby. Water activities within a 15 min walk. Has a patio area on the top floor and free laundry service. Breakfast is also great with lots of options.

Not a real balcony. The weather was warm and they still had the center air conditioner in heater, so the room was extremely warm and only the heater was available. Made the stay very uncomfortable. Not much around the hotel, you have to walk quite a lot to get on the bots for the island trips.

I chose Starway hotel because I wanted to be closer to Qiandaohu central area and I didn’t want to spend so much money on accommodation because I was planning to be outside most of the time. The location is great, the moment you step out of the hotel, you can see the lake. The wharf is about 3km away from the hotel. There’s loads of restaurants to choose from (make sure to eat fish head 鱼头 when you’re there). The service is great, the staff was very friendly and attentive, they’ll go out of their way to help you. The restaurant has Chinese breakfast, there aren’t a lot of options to choose from. I recommend this hotel if you’re planning to go to Qiandaohu and you’ll be outside most of the time.

The location of the hotel is very good, the environment is clean, it is very close to the central wharf of Qiandao Lake and the city center. I especially praise the two girls at the front desk, Xiao Zhan and Xiao Qian, for their very good attitudes. I will stay again next time!
