Hotels near Wat Ban Bang Khoi in Chumphon

We arrived around 10am requesting an early check-in, and the receptionist graciously found us a room. We opted for the deluxe king which turned out to be a corner room, giving us an extra window, which was nice. The downside was that the TV, normally placed where the window was, is now displaced into the corner of the room and smaller than the others. Only Thai speaking channels. The square balcony is nice, with a solid timber table and chair. The room is quite bright, but the bathroom is dark, even with the light on. The king bed is in one piece and comfortable but only one pillow each. The lift is small and very slow (we were on the 5th floor). Breakfast is on the top floor and is pretty ordinary, cutlery is the cheapest I’ve seen anywhere, which I always think, is often an indicator of the quality of the food. The location is good, in the centre of town but set back from the busy street. There is a 7/11 across the road and a Big C a few doors down. The main shopping mall of the town is 5 minutes walk and has a cinema complex, Starbucks and MC restaurant. This mid-range hotel is perfectly adequate for one nights stay but it’s definitely not stand out. I’m giving it four stars.

Easy to book. I made a request through Agoda, and the hotel contacted me to confirm my request. They gave us connecting rooms. Price was great. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We like firm beds though. Would stay here again.

Only stayed one night waiting to go to Ko Tao. There were only two pillows provided on a queen bed so I asked for a third pillow and was met with “we don’t have any more pillows”. Well for a good size hotel I didn’t buy that for a minute. They opened a room next to the front desk to show me they didn’t have any pillows, I guess they thought I was am *****. I knew the hotel was far from full so I suggested they could use one from an unused room. Well at the end of the day they found one for me to use. The pool was nice and relaxing. We had dinner in the lounge that was surprisingly good. I can’t say the same for the breakfast. Cold eggs and no bacon. It’s not horrible but just not as good as I have been getting the last few weeks. Also no electrical outlets on either side of the bed. Strange I would say.

the room is super nice compare to price range, you have everything you need in the room with nice decoration, you ll get to central 10 min on foot or get a free bicycle for 3-4 min, i will definitely stay there if I'm back to chumpon next time

This place is surrounded by many trees, and has amazing fresh air outside. Right in front of the resort, there is a good Thai local restaurant (very cheap). The price was 500bath /night and for the price wise, it was clean and big! Comfortable bed. I stayed for 4 days and there was a macro , lutus , big-c etc within 10mins driving distance. I recommend those who drive Bike or Car then this place would be a good option.

Superb isolated seaside hotel along the coast south of Chumphon. Ideal for a stopover before taking the ferry to Ko Tao, the pier of which is 10 minutes away by car. Very well equipped villa, tasteful decoration and very beautiful swimming pool. Good restaurant offering Thai or European dishes. Highly recommended!

I have the honour of being the first person to write a review for this hotel on trip advisor. I think there’s 2000 on Agoda. This place is great value for money. Highly recommend. It’s so clean, staff are friendly and not expensive. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the centre and 4 min ride on motorbike or taxi. I’m really pleased I chose this hotel!

A huge spacious room! Furniture is enough. Three chairs that are rarely met. Big table, table, tumba. Big refrigerator! Powerful air conditioner. The closet is just a folder. Really big bed. Clean bedding and towels. The pipeline is old, weared. The walls in the bathroom are dirty. The walls in the room are also old, brushed, dirty. But you can see that they are cleaned. In fact, the building is very weared. The door is sticky with an unreliable lock. Wide corridors. There is free hot water and soluble coffee in the lobby. The elevator isn't working. The parking is quite big.

I like staying at Ban Bamrungsuk. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Comfortable with a single room With a double bed to choose from There is a built-in water mall and a balcony. Standard room size at a comfortable price.

Stopped here whilst touring Thailand on motorcycle. A no thrills hotel yet clean and staff really helpful. For anyone touring Thailand this hotel is centrally situated and worth the money. Had a nice meal cooked by staff delivered to my room and tasted amazing at a very good price
