We had a fantastic stay, and the breakfast buffet was truly a highlight—one of the most delicious meals we had on our entire trip down south! While the hotel may be a bit worn, it’s very comfortable, and the level of service more than makes up for it. The staff are exceptionally well-trained and go above and beyond with a welcoming and attentive attitude. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this hotel to all our friends.
This is my second time staying here. The last time I stayed in a deluxe room. Everything was great. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hot water was very good.
This time, I deducted points because the studio room was not very soundproof. I woke up startled because I heard the sound of the room next door. I woke up to use the bathroom since 6 am.
But overall, it was okay.
We went in January and there was a storm.
The road into the hotel is one lane, unable to pass, rather steep.
If there are cars going up or down, it's dangerous.
Parking space is very limited because it is at the foot of a mountain next to the sea.
The accommodation is beautiful. On the day I went, the air conditioner broke, but the staff changed the room. I was very lucky that there was a room available. The staff are very cute. Very helpful.
The number of rooms is not many. I like it. It's not crowded. The view is beautiful.

Good location, nice pool and decent breakfast.
The breakfast staff was more interested in talking among themselves than taking care of guests and making sure serving plates had food. This is don't understand.
A small thing, for sure I'd return
I like staying at Baan Bamrungsuk. The room is clean and convenient. Comfortable, has a single bed room with a double bed to choose from There is a water mall inside and a balcony. Standard room size at an affordable price.
The rooms are in a dilapidated condition. For example, the room door didn't close completely. The bathroom door was loose and could be rocked back and forth. Breakfast was not impressive. Just stayed for the first time. and didn't ask to stay again Not worth the money spent
A small hotel located in a central location near the market. The room price is not very expensive, the service is good, plus inviting to have breakfast again, there is boiled rice, delicious, bread, tea and coffee, all of this is free. Suggest that you have to bring a lot of mosquito repellent with mosquitoes, but not id Phananara Chumphon Hotel.
The hotel just nice. Very clean and very comfort. Need to call first if you arrived late night because the receptionist is not at the counter during night time. Overall is just nice, comfort, clean and safe to stay. Will back there if visited Chumphon. Thank you.
Facilities as hostel are new and well managed and great
Location is within walking distance from the station and no meals
However, because there is no elevator, if there are many luggage, the stairs may be a little difficult to move
The rooms are spacious, clean, and there are motorbikes for rent. There is food for sale at friendly prices.
Excellent service Especially the owner Please help recommend places to visit on the island.
There is a transfer service from the hotel to the pier.
Overall, very excellent.

Outstanding
RRick DownerA little village of cute, brightly-painted and spotlessly clean bungalows at an amazing price, just a couple hundred yards from Sairee Beach and a short drive to all the other (and better) beaches of the Chumphon area. Note that it's a Thai-style resort, with a Thai-style bed (beyond firm), and there's no pool here, but a great stopover at an unbeatable price, with a Thai breakfast in the morning.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located in the center of the city. A housekeeper impressed me the most, although it is three-star hotel, her attitude at delivering great service was well trained. Hotel was clean itself, and amenities were sufficient. I could simply walk for food and also to provincial stadium for an evening run conveniently. Overall, an okay choice to stay.
GGuest UserHotel is centrally placed in Chumphon with plenty of food establishments and several 7-11 in close proximity.
Hotel room was spotless and bed was semi soft. Staff spoke a smattering of English and was always understood. Very helpful too and the reception is manned 24 hours. Shower was excellent with hot water if needed. Nice big fridge for keeping all your snacks and drinks from 7-11.
Next to reception was a room with free coffee and a microwave for guest use. I stayed for 12 nights so had a good experience. Only negatives were
1). All tv channels in Thai and nearly all shopping channels.
2) Walls are thin but luckily for me it is off season so not many guests next to my room.
In my view it was well worth the money paid because of its location. They offer many services including shuttle to the airport for a small fee.
CCharlie Chan miracleIt is an affordable accommodation. Located in the city area The staff speaks very well, providing good information and the rooms are clean, comfortable, very spacious.
GGuest UserAs mentioned previously, the corridors in the hotel do look like prison cells. That said, when you enter the room, you are pleasantly surprised. The rooms have everything you require minus coffee making facilities.
Very good location with the train station and shopping mall within easy walking distance.
Very good local bar named De Rust with good food, music and reasonable priced beer also within walking distance. The bar is opposite the railway line and visible from the train when entering Chumphon from a southerly direction.
ZZisovitchNot first time at this hotel. Clean, spacious rooms (we took deluxe room), small balcony, not luxury but more then basic.
The breakfast has everything you need.
AAnonymous UserThe room is compact and not very big. The location is good, close to the Krom Luang Chumporn Shrine as I found. The breakfast is not very diverse. The rice soup is delicious. Everyone has good service.
GGuest UserThe accommodation was close to the train station, so accessibility was good, and the accommodation facilities were great for the price. Towels and water were provided, and hot water came out well in the bathroom. A minor issue was the shower water pressure was not good. The bed was very wide, so it was bigger and more comfortable than a standard double bed. If you are traveling with two people, the price is cheaper than going to a hotel. And the room was spacious, so it was good to organize luggage. The good thing for those who work while traveling is that there is a desk. There was no noisy place near the accommodation, so I had a good night's sleep. The corridor on the second floor of the accommodation looked a bit old, but the facilities inside the hotel room were not bad, so I was satisfied. This is a good place to stay for a day or two before going to the island.
