I had a wonderful one night stay at this establishment. The check-in was quick although the owner doesn't speak much English. Small parking lot in the back that can fit 3 cars and a few street spots in the front. The room also included a couch and a 2-person dining table. Everything was clean and cozy. There was a full kitchen with a stovetop, oven, water boiler, mini fridge with ice compartment, cooking utensils, cutlery, bowls, cutting board, bowls/plates, and salt and pepper. The kitchen and bathroom have doors so it limits the kitchen smells into the bedroom. TV has several channels. Shower had a great pressure and plenty hot water, hair dryer included. 2 air heaters available in room. There was provided bathroom toiletries. I was given 2 wifi code vouchers for 1GB each, speed was okay but not great. I was on the top floor; walls are thin facing the outside but overall noise was quiet. You’ll maybe hear other guests moving in and out of building. I would have been happy and comfortable with a long stay here; would recommend.

We rented the two bedroom apartment on the first floor for 160nz$ per night which is great price for the big rooms. Kitchen has a cooker, oven and microwave and fridge which were all in good working order. One room is a double bed with heaters on the bed and the other room had twin beds also with heat. There was an extra bed in the lounge area and a newish couch. Table and 4 chairs which need an upgrade . Curtains we new and nice. Parking was fine . They not so great things are the water pressure. Some days there were hardly any pressure. Cleaning could be better - and some days there were no house keeping which does not bother me too much but might be important for some. That said the request for clean towels etc were met promptly but very nice and accommodating owners. Location was great.

Nice motel, clean, kitchen with simple meals. The host girl will speak Chinese very enthusiastically and will give advice. It is that the breakfast is very simple and not so delicious. It is better to do it yourself. Free parking is available at the door of the hotel. Not far from the city, you can buy good food and drive over. #房清洁#

Excellent location and safe parking. Very very helpful manager - William. He was amazing! Its my home away from home. If there's one thing about William is honesty. We returned to Auckland and didn't even know that my eldest daughter Beat Headphone were missing, worth $430. It was rose-gold with white trimmings. William called two weeks later to inform us that he had found it, and had been trying to contact me. That's honesty and integrity at its best.

I have been travelling for a few weeks across the country - staying at a different motor lodge every day - I stayed in Christchurch for the weekend before going to Hokitika- really clean and comfortable room - Kitchenette - spa bath and washing machine and tumble dryer -sky tv - only down side is limited Wifi ( have mentioned to motel regarding this as out of all other location not charged for wifi elsewhere- however the motel was so good I went and stayed again a week later before getting my flight. Locally there is a pub/restaurant and a choice supermarket and take aways

Have stayed here many times over last few years and never had a issue, unfortunately last night was different. Ordered a room for 5 got 1 for 4 with a fold out bed and asked for sheets got told by manager he didn’t know how to make bed so he proceeded to give me a sheet, yep just 1 sheet for it, was not the easiest to deal with so just had the boy jump in the bigger bed with 2 others, none of them slept well, 1st time ever too spa wasn’t working nor was bathroom heater, room also stunk of cigarettes, said to him about it and got handed a plug in air freshener, very sub standard. As I have said I always rave about this place as the old manager was a awesome lady and went above and beyond, but I worry about the place now. Hopefully it gets back to what it was. On the bright side, great off street parking and clean rooms
