Because it is on the banks of the Black Water River, there are indeed a lot of bugs at night, especially after the balcony is turned on, it is impossible to sit down on the balcony and drink two glasses in a daze. And when swimming at night, a lot of bugs will fall on the pool, which is a bit hairy. Sure enough, the beauty and comfort sometimes can't be both. The bed is 135 wide and slightly narrow. If there are many people, you still need to add 400 yuan to add a bed. The bath and hygiene equipment in the room are OK, the bed is comfortable enough, and the mattress has a certain support. We could only adjust according to the weather. Due to weather reasons, this trip to Chongzuo changed from a planned trip to a changed trip! My wife and I stayed here for three nights in December 2023, but regretted that our schedule did not allow us to stay longer. The Hua Lu Hotel is a charming boutique hotel located in the Ming Shi village that features clusters of needle mountains that aggressively protrude from what otherwise appears to be a level agricultural plain. The origins of the village were for its farming potential but the stunning beauty of the location has popularized it as a tourist haunt, a place to visit either before or after checking out the Detian Waterfall on the China-Vietnam border. In among the localsโ modest houses, several B&Bs and hotels have sprouted to cater to tourists wanting a wide spectrum of accommodations from the extremely basic up to relatively high-end resorts.
The Hua Lu (Lost in Nature) is best categorized as a high-end boutique hotel. It is situated on the eastern periphery of Ming Shi well away (approximately a kilometer) from a busy highway around which many of its competitors are clustered. The accent at the Hua Lo is on tranquility. Our room was a well-conceived suite that had been furnished with a Zen sensibility. The bathroom featured an oversize bathtub and separate shower unit, and there was a spacious and comfortable sitting area. A south-facing balcony overlooked an intensely cultivated, multi-acre market-garden, irrigated by river-fed, man-made channels. Locals could be observed tending crops from dawn to dusk in these fields.
A Chinese style breakfast was included the room fee, but we also opted to eat dinner each evening in the hotel restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner meals were prepared with an accent on health and use of locally grown foods. After dark, an open fireplace in a courtyard was used to barbecue snacks such as sweet potato and chicken: the courtyard doubled as a childrenโs play area and storage place for bicycles (pedal) which could be used by hotel guests.
Evidence suggests that tourism has trumped agriculture as the main occupation of the Ming Shi village. For tourists who prefer a more communal experience, the village offers guided sampan tours on the river that wends its way through the village. However, the best way to benefit from the village scenery is by bicycle. Cycling around the village and its dramatic needle-mountain vistas is easy, the bike trails are converted ag paths that intertwine the crop fields. They are paved and free of the traffic of tourist coaches, trucks and E-scooters that rage along the main highway.
My wife and I felt that we had come across a gem of experience that vastly exceeded our expectations when we booked the hotel. We plan to visit again next year, to enjoy a longer stay with the R&R it provides.

GGuest UserI stayed in this homestay during the National Day holiday. Overall, I was very satisfied. The service was responsive and the response was very timely. Special thanks to Xiao Zhou for recommending delicious local restaurants to us. He also helped our children buy ice cream after work. The homestay has free bicycles to borrow. Xiao Zhou helped us coordinate one when we didnโt have enough cars. Whatโs more dramatic is that he immediately came to the road rescue when we had a flat tire during the ride. Thank you very much. When he learned that our next hotel could not coordinate to pick us up, he drove a sightseeing car to send us there and gave small friends souvenirs. During the stay, there was a bamboo raft tour. The staff member Xiao Huang accompanied us and chatted with everyone, introducing local customs along the way. The service was very good. Playing cards in the public area of โโthe homestay, Xiao Huang also took the initiative to help make tea! In summary, it is a homestay with a very good value for money. The service is as beautiful as the scenery. I will recommend friends to stay here. Good reviews!

EEnyeelWith the current travel restrictions we were nervous weโd not be allowed into the province and the hotel staff were helpful getting us the information we needed to enter the county and final arrive at their hotel. We felt taken care of and they arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport. They greeted us with smiles, the housekeeper left fruits and a nice hand written note, and the front desk did their best to make our stay a comfortable one. We were traveling with our toddler and the food options were delicious and affordable. We want to say thank you to Chen Kai for going out of his way to make us feel special and welcomed. He speaks English and made many great suggestions regarding travel, activities, and calling the hospitals to see where we could get our nucleic test. The space is surrounded my mountains and itโs green everywhere you look. You can take a boat ride along the river located just in front of the property. Currently there is construction on one side, they are expanding the facilities. The whole space is nice as worth a visit. We didnโt give a 5 for amenities because we felt it could have catered more to families.

RrosaxiezhenFacilities: The conditions are better than ordinary camping bases. Although the family tent is small and well-equipped, it can sleep 3 to 5 people. There are 2 air conditioners for cooling, a refrigerator, a toilet and a bathroom, which is better than expected.
Hygiene: The tent itself is quite clean, but because it is a tent, there is still a bit of a smell in the water, which is acceptable.
Environment: The campground is located in the Lao Kapok Scenic Area. The environment is great. It is very close to Detian Waterfall and Mingshi Pastoral. It is convenient to drive there and parking is also convenient.
Service: The front desk is just a canopy tent, hahaha, I almost didn't see it. The guy's service was very good and he replenished water in time. I just hope that they can provide paid lunch and dinner in the future, because there are not many takeaways here. With such a good environment, it would be great if they could provide paid barbecue.

TTianyihuo7742Go to Chongzuo Mingxuan Pastoral in Guangxi to play the room, follow the navigation into the village entrance not far away, the door can be parked, is arranged on the third floor, floor-to-ceiling window view room, but there is a better view room! The same as the landscape of the community there, the price is much cheaper! Traveling to see the scenery, accommodation is just a sleep! The room was clean, the toilet smelled a bit, the landlord borrowed a bicycle for me, riding the view, very good! There is also a restaurant on the first floor, breakfast 10/person, dinner can be ordered! The taste is OK, the first day to eat stir-fried vegetables, the next day to eat a warm pot, the price is still OK! The ingredients are also very fresh! Overall, it is recommended to stay and eat!

AAnonymous UserThis location is really great! It's right at the entrance and exit of the scenic area. Buy a ticket for 80 yuan at the visitor center, drive directly to the gate to see the accommodation record and take a photo of the order number, then you can enter the scenic area and drive 10 kilometers to get there. The house is in the center, clean and tidy! The little brother selling agarwood at the door is so cute, I bought three strings of agarwood. You can avoid Yuemuniang, Hunan people don't like this sweet and sour taste. The local dishes next to the hotel are good value for money

HHetaoxiaowanziJuliaI stayed on the second floor of Building 10, which is very close to the hotel reception and breakfast area. The room is relatively small, the lighting is a bit dim, the facilities are average but clean and tidy, and the environment is quite good. The biggest advantage is that it is super convenient in the Mingshi Tianyuan Scenic Area. There is a bonfire party at 8 o'clock in the evening. You can enter and exit unlimited times with the room card, which is super convenient for strolling. I also took folk costume photos for my baby in the scenic area, and the price is reasonable. Overall, it's not bad.

MMarcelKAmazing hotel! It really is more like a resort with a lot of things to discover. Unfortunately, probably due to the current pandemic situation, not everything has been in operation. You got a little nice bar for the occasional long-nighter ๐
there and a restaurant with a huge menu of different meals. The restaurant service has been unbelievable quick to serve the fresh cooked dishes. The hotel itself has been quite clean and the service staff always been helpful. Do not expect anyone speaking English thou. The whole surrounding is taken care of with visible passion and still you feel like in the middle of the jungle. If you got some time to spare, walk around the little village outside the hotel and try to find the small beautiful almost historic part of it, still being actively lived in by the locals. Just please always be respectful and cautious not to disturb them in any way.
FYI: if you arrive there by bus from from Nanning (ๅๅฎ) to DaXin (ๅคงๆฐ) (the ride itself is absolutely worth it), there are local drivers Infront of the bus station who know how to get to the hotel. Just make sure not to pay more then 250 RMB. Also make sure all your health codes, passports, visas, etc are all in order and quickly handy. After all it is a border region and the are a lot of checkpoints to pass through. That's no time to mess up anything.

GGuest UserThis hotel is close to the train station, but far away from the center of Ningming. The buses are hard to find, and a bus stop is close, but it is impossible to know when buses are available. By chance, there are many tricycles that can bring you to the center at low prices (some are cheaper, some are less cheap). The reception in this hotel doesn't speak English but they are friendly. A few cheap restaurants close to the hotel but more in Ningming. In 2017 I found a cheaper hotel in the center but it was impossible to find it again. At that time the tricycles were more funny to take from the train station to the center, see the photo, now it looks like they have all been renewed by more standard vehicles. One thing has not changed : if you take a bus to Pingxiang, be sure to waste time at the security checkpoint between the two cities, take the train...
This city is growing very fast and the center has changed a lot.
