Hotels in Jiefangbei Area/Hong Ya Dong, Chongqing

We loved everything about the hotel, but of note, this hotel is only the top few floors of a high rise building that is shared with other establishments including several floors for public services. This means that the ground floor lobby space and the very limited elevators were not at all pleasant. As an example, I went out in the morning to grab breakfast and planned on returning to my room, but the line to use the elevators were down the block (see photos). The building common areas are old and dated as well, which is far from the swanky hotel space that likely drew you in. I would still recommend it, but just be aware of what you’re getting into. If you can find another hotel that isn’t on the top floor of a shared space, I would recommend that over this.

This is a truly stylish hotel! The front desk service was excellent, and the check-in process was incredibly thoughtful! They even called me specifically to pre-cool the room. 😃 Upon check-in, I was given complimentary soft drinks and snacks 😘. From the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can directly enjoy stunning river views! At night, you can also get a panoramic view of Chongqing's cityscape, with both the Grand Theatre and the Yangtze River Bridge visible – it's absolutely fantastic! 😏 Imagine waking up in the morning, saying 'Xiao Du, Xiao Du, open the curtains,' and witnessing the breathtaking river view unfold right before your eyes – the sheer amazement is indescribable! 😆😆😆 It's a shame I can't post videos here, otherwise I'd truly love to share it with everyone. An absolutely wonderful stay! I'll definitely be back! 😘

My wife and I only had one night in this wonderful hotel. Its location is perfect, only 200 m to the southwest of the People’s Liberation Monument. The hotel has rooms on two floors of the Xinhua International building, with reception on level 46. The reception area feels very homely, with friendly staff, comfortable chairs, several types of tea for tasting and soft drinks available for purchase. The building has interesting sloping windows on all four corners, and at least some of the corner rooms have beds that face the windows with marvellous views at all times of the day and night. Our room faced northeast, with Raffles City in the distance. We enjoyed walking top to bottom at Shibati (take subway to Jiaochangkou), a beer at the Shua Bar on Level 42 of the Intercontinental Hotel in Raffles City (no need to pay to go to the other end of the elevated platform, you can walk on the glass floor for the cost of a beer), wonderful spicy noodles at a restaurant behind the hotel (十八梯邓凳面, Eighteen Steps Dengdeng Noodles). When you check in at Reception, scan the big QR code and they will send PDFs with recommended tourist attractions and restaurants nearby (you can ask questions via WeChat throughout your stay).

It's a loft unit that we had with excellent river view . Bedding is comfortable with modern rooms that are well kept. Location is at Raffles city and there are eateries just below. Didi to the places of interest is easy and wo t cost you more than 15rmb The breakfast is plain simple.

I would highly recomend this hotel for your visit to Chongqing. LOCATION: it is very central, and by all the shops, food options, and walking distance to the tram cable car, the insta popular spot where you seem to be on ground floor but really on 22nd floor etc. Note, it is 58th floor of the shopping centre. Service: Absolutely amazing. Kang Kang our butler was so attentive. We have never truly taken advantage of a butler service offered by a hotel, but he communicated via wechat, checked in, and was very responsive. Thank you! I would also say the room cleaners did a fantastic job every day, replacing all amenities daily so we were never without! The girls at reception were so kind. Every time we needed help they would literally run to us to help. Although a small language barrier, they did everything they could to help and more. Everyone always smiled and waived whenever passing through the hotel. Spa: great storm spa experience, never tried it before but would highly reccomend. Special touches: it was my husband birthday, and they kindly provided balloons, flowers and a panda toy, which was very sweet. Room: Absolutely amazing, great view, had a projector and an insane size bath tub! It didn't take too long to fill either. They also had a Japanese toilet! As a whole, we were blown away by this hotel and the service! Thank you everyone.

Location is excellent. Just across the street is the pedestrian street. Lots of food, cheap massages and walking distance to places of interest. Clean hotel, service staff is great and most importantly value for money.

When I arrived at the hotel I was a little bit early, but the staff was amazing and I could use my room right away without waiting. The ladies at the reception were very kind and helped me bring my luggage to the room. It was easy to get to the hotel from the airport since I booked a driver, and the MTR is very close so getting around Chongqing is simple. On the other side there is a mall and plenty of food places nearby, and there are small supermarkets if you need water or anything else. The room was very clean and everything I needed was close by. I had a really good stay and I would definitely come back

We stayed here for 2 nights and, although the location and the staff were nice, the place is not as pictured in the images. The pool had several cracks in the glass, which made it look not too safe. And the ethereal, instagrammable and clean look of the advertised images was an illusion we didn’t get to experience ourselves. One could argue that the white-ish furniture is difficult to maintain without stains, but the issue is there were clear signs of lazy cleaning, dust, and easy-to-remove stains. All in all, I still think the price is not crazy thanks to the location and the staff, but they can improve.

Hotel is located at a quieter side of Jiefangbei which is something that we preferred. It is still facing the road side however it is not as messy. The apartment is very clean and that it comes with washing machine, good for people that like to travel light and wash clothes. The cleaner lady does clean your room everyday and replenishes the detergent therefore not having a need to bring your own. It uses Dyson hair dryer which is a + points for us! One item for debate is they use electronic lock which password will be shared via wechat, therefore if you are uncomfortable do think twice! They have a wechat group that can help you collect parcels as well as food deliveries. The room is spacious and really clean! SmartTv and has one of the nicest view facing the lake in ChongQing

My stay at the hotel was very good. The place is clean. I booked the side view room and it was pretty to see the lights. The hotel also has an observation deck for clear views of the bridge and the location is literally across the street from the Hongya cave which was great for exploring when I arrived in the evening.
