Hotels in Jiefangbei Area/Hong Ya Dong, Chongqing

The hotel is located in the heart of Chongqing, which made it incredibly easy to visit the most important attractions of the city by foot. The hotel staff is very friendly and they do their best to help you as much as possible. Moreover, when you arrive, they provide you with helpful information about tourist attractions and restaurant recommendations. The only downside is the wait times for the elevators, but they warn you about most busy times for the elevators. All in all, I recommend this hotel to anyone trying to make the most out of their stay in Chongqing.

Stayed on the 45th floor with an absolutely paranormal ( panoramic!) view of Chongqing’s glowing skyline truly breathtaking day and night. The room came with smart controls for lighting and curtains, making everything seamless with just a button. Despite the height, the water pressure was excellent, and the shower head was strong, a pleasant surprise! The room was clean and modern. We didn’t use the bathtub more aesthetic than practical, but it definitely looks good for social media photos. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable. Just a short walk to Jiefangbei and close to almost everything you want to visit. Yes, people online might warn you against eating at Bayi (81) Street, but as a tourist, I found it part of the experience, no issues there! Tips for travelers: Chongqing summers are no joke hot and humid. Bring sunscreen, reapply often, and don’t forget your umbrella. Public transport is your best friend to beat the traffic, because trust me , people are everywhere!

Firstly when we booked into our room we were disappointed with the view however the next day the stuff has organised another room for us which had higher standard and much better view. Location was excellent and close to some most significant attractions and a metro station. It was a bit difficult to communicate with the staff but they went out of their way with the help of the translator to help us and provide answers to our questions. We needed to check out earlier and were very positively surprised when we received a money back for half of the day. The bed was super comfy, the hotel was clean and had all amenities. We were very happy with our stay :)

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The check-in and check-out process was seamless and fuss-free. They are very quick in responding on WeChat and are attentive to our needs/requirements. The room is spacious for 4 pax with ample room of luggage and walking space. Cleanliness is of top notch. The hotel location is great as it is easily accessible and walking distance to the city area, eateries, convenient stores and popular tourist attractions. There’s even a small convenient store directly at the hotel lobby. Being located on 27th floor allowed us to have a view of the river and the city lights.

Wow this was truly one of the most unforgettable hotel stays I’ve ever had! The room itself was absolutely mind-blowing: a private pool inside the living room? Just wow. Even better than on the pictures. The almost 360-degree panoramic view over the city took my breath away. Everything was spotless, fully equipped with top-notch amenities, and there was even a cinema screen right in the room, such a cool touch. I was also welcomed with a lovely bottle of sparkling wine, which made the experience feel even more special. I especially loved the bedroom being upstairs, adding a unique and cozy vibe to the whole space. Would recommend this place with my eyes closed, a total dream stay!

Fantastic location, right at the iconic Chaotianmen. It is located at the same complex as the huge Raffles City mall, and only a stone's throw away from the famous Hongya Caves and river cruise piers. There is also a metro station here that is well-connected to other lines. In fact, we can see the famous confluence of the two rivers from the balcony right outside the hotel lobby. When we checked in, we were given a free upgrade. The rooms were clean, well-equipped, and the bed mattresses were firm and comfortable, providing a good night's rest after a long day of walking. The service was excellent throughout and the service staff went the extra mile to help plan our sightseeing itinerary, purchase the cruise tickets and provide local dining options. Definitely a great recommendation for families and first time visitors to Chongqing! A shout out to the concierge staff Orange and the porter Jack for their vibrant attitude and eagerness to assist the guests!

From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing and so professional! We ended up having an issue in our room with the AC not working, however the staff was so quick to solve the problem and was really kind about it, so it was no biggie. The room was beautiful, and the view was out of the world. They also gave us some wine as an apology for the inconvenience, which we appreciated! I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in chongqing! This was one of the best hotels we’ve been to. Also the housekeeping did an amazing job with our room as it was really clean and comfortable, so thank you, deng deng! (登登)

I stayed for 3 nights at Haoting Hotel for my trip to Chongqing. I arrived after 12am and was worried that there might not be anyone at the reception lobby as it was a small hotel. When l entered the lobby, there was a lady at the reception. Luckily the hotel check in was fast as I was tired by the time I reached there. The hotel lobby is not big and it is non air condition. The hotel room was of reasonable size. They have separate space for bath and toilet area, their toilet facilities are those high tech like in Japan. Their vanity area is not big and cannot put much things and they provide a space to hang your clothes near the door area, just that they do not have anything for you to hang your clothes near the bathroom area which l think is not so convenient. Other then that, the room and bedsheet are clean. They are at the high floor and if you like sky night view, you will like it, but it also depends which room they give you and the facing. They provide some free snacks for you in the room and also have some free tours and discounted price for some tours. But we did not go for it as we prefer to go to places at our own pace. As there other hotel operators and even residents at the same building, waiting time for the lift will take quite a while. The hotel is walking distance to Jiefangbei and nearby there are a lot of eateries. Overall, the hotel is considered quite good, just that the building has too many people going in and out and sometimes will get a bit crowded.

I woke up feeling very unwell on the 2nd night of our stay. When my husband mentioned to the restaurant staff that I was feeling sick and couldn't eat, they kindly delivered a bowl of noodles and a bowl of congee up to the room. Later on while having our room serviced, 何腊梅, having seen that I was unwell and throwing up, gave extra room supplies and towels to make me feel more comfortable and at ease. 何腊梅 phoned the restaurant and asked for a hot ginger beverage to be sent up to the room. Very soon after drinking the hot beverage, all the nausea left me and I felt completely revived. Thank you to all the staff who took care of us, especially 何腊梅.
