Perfect Hostel for Solo Travelers
I recently stay at this hotel for 2 nights. This hostel is a gem! Super clean, easy to reach, and just minutes from the main station. Most of the city’s top attractions are nearby or easily accessible by public transport. The staff is friendly, the beds are comfy, and the atmosphere is relaxed — ideal for solo travelers. Highly recommend!

Negatives:
- would have preferred more toilets
- Cleaning lady was very loud every morning and you couldn't sleep in (why do you have to do it so early?) I find that very disrespectful. Everyone in the dorm didn't like it and she had clearly noticed that several people still wanted to sleep. She didn't care... I've rarely had such incredibly unfriendly staff

Prime location. Easy to walk around to the main sights. The view from the terrace was amazing as well. I'll definitely stay here again.

Nice clean hostel. Very good location right next to Xiaoshizi metro station. One staff member spoke English which was helpful. Free luggage storage allowed before check-in and after check-out.
Spacious room with daily cleaning (forgot to take a picture). Each person is given a very tall locker with 2 shelves. The bottom shelf can fit a large suitcase (mine was 26 inches) and just fit.
Also spotted 3 cats that are residents! They were very friendly.
Make sure you check the air conditioning/heater settings before sleeping. One of my dorm mates set the heater at 25 degrees and my bed (upper bunk) felt like a sauna. You can change the controls so that it’s air conditioning instead of a heater and choose the specific temperature

Very nice and pleasant experience, they approached us proactively and offered good food recommendations and I'd love to try their selfmade food the next time!
We booked a Tatami room and we're happy with the size of the room as well as the amenities.
And their cats were just too adorable!

Hostel is nice, clean, comfortable beds, nice helpful staff. They have a nice social space where they play board games at night. They cook yummy food for a little money, and they are very kind. I came back late in the evening and I was starving and even if the kitchen was closed they were able to arrange some food for me 😀 nice people. I'd definitely stay there again. Showers are hot and powerful. The only improvement is around doors. People in my room were not careful to close them silently at night, making me jump every time they closed them.

This yummy hill youth hostel is one of the overall hostels, which is strategically located in Chongqing city centre. The staff here is so friendly, honest and helpful when i ask them to come personally to the Xiaoshizi metro Exit 9 to guide me to the hostel. I gave an old copy of the Lonely planet travel guide China in English to the hostel for foreign travellers to read. I highly recommend this hostel because it's located on the 9th floor where you have a beautiful garden on this floor which makes this hostel a 5 stars rated hotel. In fact , previously there was a swimming pool here but now due to no maintenance, the pool remained closed and not usable.

This hostel has a great location, and I could walk to most of the famous places. The staff was friendly and nice. I stayed in a private room, but the only downside was the bad smell from the shower curtain. Other than that, it's a great place to start your Chongqing trip.
