We were given a room facing the road, which was not soundproof. Even with the windows closed, we could still hear the traffic in the middle of the night. There was also a lot of noise upstairs, and there was renovation work going on at 7 or 8 in the morning, which made for a very bad sleep.
By the way, the hair dryer had been used for who knows how many years, and the wind power was very low.
