Must Read – Upsides, but Also Downsides!!
The staff at Stone Hotel are outstanding—extremely friendly and helpful with any inquiries. Their service at the front desk is a clear highlight.
The hotel offers laundry services, but you must hand over your clothes to staff. A surprising and inconvenient policy: they do not wash underwear or socks.
We stayed in the Comfort Tatami room, a loft-style space accessed via a small private staircase. While unique, it may not be ideal for everyone.
There are several frustrating practical issues. First, there is no fridge in the room, which is a major inconvenience, especially in a hot climate. Second, the sink is poorly designed—the faucet barely extends far enough to wash your hands, let alone your face. The room is also minimally furnished, with only one chair, which makes relaxing or working difficult.
Cleanliness standards are lacking. Instead of vacuuming, staff sweep the floors with a broom, often leaving debris behind. Glasses are not cleaned or replaced during your stay.
On the plus side, the air conditioning works extremely well, which is a big advantage for those who overheat easily. However, due to the central downtown location, street noise is constant, and the walls are thin, so noise from other guests can be an issue.
