Chongqing Manyue Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongyadong Branch)

A hotel with amazing location and great view. It was easy get around the entire city from the subway right beside the hotel entrance. Hongyadong and Jiefangbei street were only a few stops. The room was large and had high ceilings. I liked that the shower, toilet, and sink were separated, it was convenient since I was travelling with a friend. Another good point, was the welcome fruit and drink, which consisted of mango, plum, grapes, and cola. However, there was one big discomfort to staying here, on the 5th floor where we were staying, there appeared to big a rather big leak from the ceiling. The floor had a sharp moldy smell, which thankfully didn't penetrate through the hotel room door. The hallways has carpet which hadn't been dried, but rather covered with white sheets, I almost slipped walking on said carpet. Accidents occur, I have no exception for everything to be perfect, but as we were being walked to our room, or even on the wechat we received later, there was no mention or explanation of the leak on the fifth floor, or renovation on the first floor. The breakfast and laundry area were thankfully untouched. Overall, good experience, but the leak put a damper on our mood.

Nice hotel room, superb customer service. Been traveling around China and this hotel is one of the best value for money.

That hotel needs a serious renovation. The breakfast is very poor I would not even call it breakfast. The rooms a average cleaned and the hallways have a horrible smell.
