Chongqing Xuanxi Homestay (Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street Hongyadong Branch)

Located Very near to many attractions, all walkable distance. Shibati, Bayilu, Jiefangbei. If you wish to, the train station is also just a three minute walk away. Location stated on the trip website differs slightly from the actual accomodation you are staying, but it is still near jiefangbei. Could be a little troublesome to get taxi during peak periods of 6pm-7pm due to traffic jams of locals going home after work. The host was very friendly and helpful, provided us with much information of the surroundings, and even helped us do our Guest laundry (passed them and they will wash and dry / return to you the next day). they were prompt with cleaning the apartment, and topping up of amenities when required. Food was easily accessible as there's a food street just right below our apartment.

The location is great for exploring the city, and the room was clean and comfortable, just a short walk from Jiaochangkou Night Market, Jiafengbei Pedestrian Street. The host & cleaner was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chongqing.

Great location near Chongqing night market. A lot of food and snacks. Many hotpots as well. Many survernier store as well.

The few great things is of this homestay are the service of the host, the location & the daily housekeeping. The entrance to the building is hard to find but can contact the host upon arrival. There’s a beef noodle shop just at the entrance of the building & lots of street food along the road. Jie fang bei is only a short distance while hong ya dong is slightly further but still reachable on foot. There’s no kitchen or fridge. So only one basin in the toilet. Not so convenient with a 2-year old child with us. The step from the living room to the floor is quite high, not convenient for old people to move around too. There is one shared washing machine (washer & dryer 2 in 1) on 34th floor. But can only use it when no one is using it. However, the city view from the room is great & very spacious for us to keep our luggages. I wouldn’t recommend to stay with small children & old people.

Contact the property before arriving and they will assist you with checking in. This is a home stay so there is no traditional “front desk.” It’s easiest to ask for their WeChat information and communication through there can be easily translated. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The room looks like the photos but because of the bright white nature of the room, dirt and wear to the room is very noticable. Not an issue. Each morning they will ask if you require any cleaning or service and can replenish your toilet paper, towels, bottled water, etc. The building itself is old but the unit is well designed. The bathtub didn’t plug properly but they were fast to offer a solution. The wifi didn’t work for the room I was assigned but there are several other units with wifi you can connect to. The location is incredible and there is a lot of food options right outside the door. Metro is nearby. Very lively at night and you can take great photos. There is a ******* delivery cabinet in the lobby and you can easily order anything you require. There is a free washing machine on Floor 34 but it is frequently in use. The hosts offered to do the laundry at a convenient time due to how busy it was. The bed is firm but very comfortable and the blanket they provide is of good quality. The projector was a nice touch, and the view is nice. Overall it was a nice place to stay in for a week, and had most of what one needs.

We had very pleasant stay indeed at this place. We were being picked up in front of the building, assisted and allowed to leave our luggage for storage until check in time. The room was just exactly like the picture, clean and nice. The bathtub experience also really good and had wonderful view from the window. Definitely worth stay during our trip to Chongqing! Warm hospitality and wonderful room.
