Remarkably friendly staff, always willing to help. They will greet you, help you to book a Didi car (and you can pay them back via Alipay), show you the way to your room or nearby hotpot, and answer any questions on WeChat. Shout out to Xiao He for helping me feel welcome in Chongqing. We also met the owner and she is a savvy businesswoman.
The reception can be difficult to find. Refer to my photos for the sign in front of the building. When you are coming in from the main road, you need to walk behind the building and go inside to use the elevator. You should see a few other desks and a fruit shop, then use the elevator to get to level 2. Their reception desk is upstairs.
The room is nice and clean. We stayed the first night facing the back, but after meeting the owner and saying that we chose this place due to the river view, our room was upgraded for free for the next night since it was available. The view of the river is really nice at night. Toiletries, hair dryer, and disposable slippers available. WiFi was very slow for me though.
Location wise, not bad, even though it is further away from main attractions like Jiefangbei (although you can still walk there, 1km+). It's near to Huguang Guild, Dongshuimen, and Baixiang Street (highly recommended to walk there for food). There are also food options available right below the building, from breakfast to hotpot dinner. The stores are aggressive in asking you to eat there, but those in Baixiang Street don't really bother you so it's more pleasant.
Overall a good stay. Recommend.
