Sandals Halcyon Beach (Shc)

From our arrival the staff smiled and greeted us as friends. Angelena the manager at Marios the Italian trains her staff to be the best they can.be and was our favourite place to eat. She even made a special visit to the Grande to bring me some cider when she heard I was a fan. The drinks kept flowing with all the staff being interested in giving you a top quality drink with a smile. All the bar staff exceeded expectations but young Chris (good footballer) became a friend who would educate us on St Lucian traditions as we would educate him on English dialects. We were so proud when he asked us to come and watch the bar staff play the housekeeping team at football .This man will go far and I even said this to Mr Stuart who took the time to chat while we both ate our breakfast. Respect for being approachable when I had no idea who he was. Ricardo,Marvin, Clint and Ritchie who serviced our room and mini bar went above and beyond stopping for a chat to see how our day was going and keeping us well stocked . Pearl and her team in the gift shop provided expert advice on what goods to buy. Celina in the over water restaurant always had a smile and would change the menu to our requirements. Boozy and the entertainment team provided top class shows and even when I lit a cigar with a stick from the fire-show they remained mostly un fazed and laughed about it after. The Japanese restaurant serves great food and Sake but the Sake cocktails are to die for. The manager was on hand to give advice and laugh at my bad dad jokes. The beach and sea was really good with the lucky lucky men trying to sell you a trip being friendly when we said no thank you. We met some great guests who are like minded ppl who want quality and all agreed there are posher hotels out there that are stuffy and up their own backsides This was proven as one couple were on their 25 visit and they would not go to another one. They do travel extensively and feel the hotel is their relaxing place. The food was amazing as was the drink but what makes the place 5 star are the staff who care. Wrong place to go if you want to party but if you want to chill in a small friendly quality hotel its for you.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandals Halcyon Beach. It was our first time to that Sandals resort, but certainly not our last. Back in 2014 we fell in love with Sandals Royal Plantation in Jamaica and have vacationed there many times since. We asked Dacia, the Loyalty Program Manager at Royal Plantation, to recommend another Sandals resort that is similar to the Royal Plantation. She immediately recommended Halcyon Beach. Her recommendation was spot on. Wow! What an amazing place. The staff, facilities, grounds, and restaurants are amazingly exceptional. Though everyone we encountered at Halcyon Beach was amazing, there are quite a few individuals that we would like to acknowledge for their exceptional customer service... Butlers - Sylvie, Learie, Gina D, and Rea Bartenders - Vince, Ryan, Kareem, Chris, Kayla, Makala, Waynelle (sp?) Rec/Entertainment - Adam, Jenny from the Block Others - Shana (Manager), Michelle (Loyalty Mgr), Ross (Photo), Raj (F&B), Zacc (Gift Shop), and Zenith (Spa) This group of amazing people went above and beyond to make our stay at Halcyon Beach an amazing experience.

Broken glass and bottle caps all over the beach. Bird poop all over the beach chair cushions. They allow beach vendors to Hitchin at the edge of the pool deck to harass people at the pool. If you've been to any other sandals you probably know that Bayside is basically the end of the restaurant scale it's an exception here Bayside buffet is the best food you'll find and it ain't that great We paid for the most expensive room at the resort we got champagne the first two days and never again. The cheap coffee maker drips constantly and it was on the floor dried up for the seven days we were there never cleaned once. No electric outlets of any kind in the bathroom. Was told we had a private plunge pool there's absolutely nothing private about it it's on a major walkway with no hedge no curtain no nothing. Someone burst a bunch of balloons and they ended up in our pool for three days before they were cleaned up. Had to beg our butlers to refill our minibar I am used to butlers at other sandals resort Antigua and south coast. There they anticipate your needs And you never have to beg for anything. The water is murky and there are a lot of rocks they have a drainage ditch that stun with garbage that runs direct to the ocean from their maintenance area. I'll never go back and probably never visit another sandals if this is a possibility ever again

My wife and I just returned from a 5 day/4 night stay at Sandals Halcyon Beach for our 20th wedding anniversary. We were greeted by the staff with a song, and since we stayed at Concierge level, was introduced to the concierge staff before being shown to our room. The resort is very well laid out, and easy to walk. We stayed in a Beachfront Club Level Walkout Room with Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub, and to be able to walk out from our room to the beach was awesome. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We had special dietary needs and met with the chef and several of the sous-chefs when we arrived as well as during each meal to make go over menu options and alternative dishes that could be made. On our first night at the resort, since we had such a long travel day, my wife and I were very hungry. We were looking for a place to eat, and Vanessa, one of the RedLane Spa massage therapists happened to see us wandering around aimlessly and took us to the Bistro to get some food. She helped us with the wait staff find a table and asked if we had any allergies that she could convey to the staff. Vanessa told us how she gives massages and asked if we were interested in getting one during our visit, and I let her know it was something I planned on doing. She scheduled my massage as she was assisting the restaurant, so I didn't have to go to their service desk to make an appointment. There are activities throughout the day you can participate in, as well as schedule an excursion for other activities around the island. Because a lot of people seemed to want to go out and explore, during the day it was easy to find a spot to lay by the pool or beach, and order drinks and snacks as you enjoyed the sunshine. My massage with Vanessa was scheduled for 90 minutes, and she used the entire time for a deep tissue massage. The massage was excellent, and Vanessa asked questions to make sure I was getting the pressure I needed, even correcting me on how intense I should take it. The oils and towel were nice and hot and really added to the effect of the massage. During our stay we booked a taxi into Castries to do some local shopping, and that was a lot of fun to see touristy things to buy, as well as talk to the different shop owners. However, two cruise ships just came in, so it was rather busy. If you decide to go to the market area for shopping, 2 hours is a good amount of time to walk around and look at things. Visiting the other Sandals resorts as easy as there is a routine shuttle schedule every day, so you can plan your stay at the other resorts if you want to try out their restaurants, pools, or if you have dinner reservations. When we had any questions about how to go about and do things or schedule things, the Concierge was always available to assist, even scheduling our taxi service needs. A beautiful location, a wonderfully small and perfect hotel, nice rooms and room locations, great food, and even better service. Everyone was constantly smiling and checking in on us! We utilized the butler service and it was 100/10 Pluta, Willard, and Christal were always on time, always put extra effort in to assure we had the best trip! Thank you

We have stayed here many times since 2008 and always have a wonderful time. This visit was for ten nights encompassing Welcome Home week, previously known as Reunion week. This is always from Easter Monday until the Friday night finale. Lots of treats for returning guests and we were treated Royally ( especially at the ****** Royale themed returning dinner. A great evening with a James Bond vibe. We also reveled in a catamaran cruise to enjoy Caribbean beats and food, as well as some beverages, whilst capturing a beautiful sunset as we sailed in Marigot Bay. My wife was delighted to see the Michael Jackson show - her fourth time! It’s worth experiencing this for the choreography alone. We were also treated to some wonderful outings and local visits. Our room was comfortable and had all the usual amenities, some of which we don’t utilize and others that are more our thing. We stay in ground level rooms as we like to avoid stairs. The Halcyon does have accessible rooms and an excellent attitude to mobility and inclusivity. Also the acceptance of all couples, binary and non binary enhances the enjoyment of this beautiful resort on a fantastic island. Weddings and celebrations are well catered for and great care is put in regarding planning and execution. The Welcome Home week finale was a street BBQ cum street party that really rocked.

One of the best Sandals out there and the only one we have returned to. Adam, Jay and Boozie are fantastic entertainment at the pool area. The butler service never lets us down. The gardens are beautiful and the rooms are maintained wonderfully. Management walked to rooms to ask how things were. The restaurants are great choices. Perfect and relaxing vacation

Sandals Halcyon was an incredible vacation. The staff are exceptional: shout out to Zakiya, Maya, and Amy at the bistro. This resort has great food, a fun but also quiet atmosphere, and beautiful rooms. The hospitality is above and beyond. We will absolutely book here again in the future.

We went to all three sandals locations in St. Lucia and Halcyon was by far the best. The landscaping was unreal and the paths winding throughout the resort were absolutely beautiful. It’s the more low key and intimate of the three locations but honestly I liked the bars better there too. In my opinion, it’s the hidden gem of all the sandals locations, I don’t know why it wasn’t rated higher. A quick shout out to some of the staff that really went above and beyond for my wife and I would be Zakiya at the Bistro and Ciana on the beach. They provided excellent service and their kindness/professionalism really stood out to us.
