We had a wonderful 4 night stay as a family of 4 at Mwandi View Lodge. Amelia and Anton were absolutely brilliant hosts - they took us in at very short notice when our reservation at another lodge nearby fell through at the last minute (through no fault of our own) and made us feel welcome instantly. I can’t overstate how important they were to the quality of our stay here - they were seemingly always present, friendly, helpful and kind. They have built up the Lodge over a number of years and their personal touch is apparent everywhere. The Lodge is brilliantly organised - everything works perfectly due to their close involvement and obvious attention to detail. The fixed luxury tents we stayed in had everything you could possibly want - large comfortable beds, nice bedding, spare blankets, a spacious bathroom area at the back of the tent with a fabulous hot shower, power sockets and a small kitchen at the front of the tent fully kitted out with a fridge, small oven, sink, washing up sponge and detergent, knives, chopping board etc. The tents had large sliding doors at the front which made entry and exit super easy and also contributed to a great view of the river from the bed! The tents are cleaned a d serviced daily and the staff were without exception helpful and kind. The communal dining area with a nice bar and the large deck with a swimming pool and lots of chairs for lounging around on for sundowners were perfect, with stunning views over the river. There was a newly built water trough in front of the deck which attracted all kinds of birds and impalas when we stayed - at times elephants and buffalo come down too apparently. The breakfasts were excellent (choice of Continental or full English - both delicious) and the evening meals (you need to pre-order) were also great - well cooked, with generous portions, good variety and served with great attentiveness and a smile. One important thing to note is that the pictures posted online in no way do justice to how nice the place is. The owners are continuously updating the facilities, and most of the pictures are outdated - the current Lodge and campsite have a very plush feel to them. One minor snag was that the Wifi download speeds were a little slow, but this didn’t impact us too much as there is good 3G and 4G mobile reception in the Lodge anyway. Both Anton and Amelia were very happy so share their extensive knowledge of the local area with us and also helped us to book a transfer from Kasane to Vic Falls with zero hassle. We’ll definitely come and stay again next time we’re in the area - and so should you!

We stayed in the tents with a view, very nice accomodation and friendly staff. Camping ground is grass and looks a bit regular. View from bar/restaurant is very nice. Would not recommend the pre ordered diner, no choice, one of our steaks was very well done and we got a beer for the trouble, not a good deal for the main course. Rest of the food also not special and one of the least diners we had in Botswana and Namibie alltogether.

Had a very pleasant couple of nights here - highly recommended for laid back atmosphere & good food - with the bonus of a great waterhole on site for viewing animals at night (we saw mainly hippos & elephants but I daresay with more time we would have seen more). The tents are comfortable & well kitted out, though hot in the day when we stayed (temperatures in the high thirties) but OK at night. Maybe more powerful fans would be something to consider. Special mention for Lucky, the guide who took us into the park both days & worked hard to find the animals for us.

Mwandi View is exceptional and outstanding. Amelia and Anton are excellent hosts, who care about their guests and do everything to make their stay a pleasant one. Our tented cabin was well furnished and very comfortable. Amelia takes great pride in the excellent gourmet meals that are prepared every evening. Anton has constructed a water trough and water hole on the property and every evening it is visited by elephants, hippos, or giraffes. Two game drives and two river trips were arranged for us. All were excellent. The night game drives with Anton were exceptional and gave us a new appreciation of the environment. We felt very privileged to have a personal experience of Africa and highly recommend Mwandi View.

Mwandi View Lodge truly feels like a home away from home. The incredible wildlife at the waterhole and stunning sunsets create a magical atmosphere. The accommodations are very comfortable, and the relaxing pool adds to the experience. Delicious meals and helpful advice on activities and destinations enhanced our fantastic visit. The exciting and fun night drive was a highlight. Its close proximity to the spectacular Chobe National Park is a major plus. Our only regret is having to leave! We would strongly recommend Mwandi View for those wishing to leave the beaten track and have a more genuine African experience.

It was actually planned as a transit stop between Kasane and Goha. But oh boy, oh boy! This lodge has nothing to envy to any high end lodge. The place was neat and the view amazing and the whole staff lovely. Overlooking a water whole where we were even fortunate enough to see a Leopard drinking at night , some hyppos and an elephant. The food was Devine , diner and breakfast. If I should come back I would rather stay there without any doubt since you are close to Kasane and they do organize day trips to the Victoria falls and Chobe river cruise. We stayed in Kasane and I regretted it at the end since we enjoy the place so much. The tents are spacious and comfy with an en-suite bathroom. The owners were lovely as well. Thank you!!!

We were here for two nights. The staff was very friendly and we had a very nice experience with the owners. The campsite was fenced, so there were no animals in the campsite at night. The sunset from the front of the restaurant was breathtaking. As we were in July, there were no mosquitoes either, which helped to make our experience at the campsite even better.

Wow, this was just a great experience! We have already decided we will go back and stay for 7 days. We stayed for 3 nights, we were greeted by Darius, he gave us a quick camp orientation, showed us everything we needed, and just gave us a warm welcome. That night we had dinner, that was a lovely meal. Lovely home cooked food. We left early the next morning to kasane, as this was our first time there I went to Amelda to ask he how we should drive and when we come back from Kasane, she pulled out a map showed me exactly where to go, where are some nice waterholes and what roads to mis due to deep sand. The last day as we were getting our fire ready one massive thunderstorm blew through the camp, while Anton was walking past he said we can go and braai at the bar area, that was great, a beautiful view with a fire. All in all, great place. An abundance of shade, that’s lovely, clean bathrooms, wonderful waterhole saw some elephants on 2 nights. Great people running the property, Amelda & Anton are real people. And Darius is a champion. As a bird watching family, this was also an amazing place to just sit and look for something special! You will see us again, hopefully soon!!
