A lovely small hotel with 4 star restaurant attached. Yes, the roofless-abbey is mainly why people visit, but the restaurant is it's own destination. It's a beautiful place to simply sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine or espresso.

The accommodation and food were unbelievably good. This place is one of the best places We’ve ever stayed at. Incredible location, superb accommodation, unique swimming pool, restaurant unbelievably good - and exceptional value. Can’t recommend highly enough

Although clearly a touristic place.. very rustic setting .. absolutely stunning pasta! Rarely eaten such good pasta .. actually tried them all .. good local Wine … very kind staff... excellent value for money

We stopped there for a coffee as soon as we arrived in the area to visit the abbey opposite. The coffee was good and the girl who served you was very kind. Both factors convinced us to return for a quick lunch. In fact we ate two sandwiches (slices of bread) with finocchiona and pecorino cheese. Really excellent! The same girl as before, despite the numerous customers and the fact that she was only wiggling between the cash register, the bar and the "salumeria" area, has not lost her grace and kindness. Value added!

Good prices and fresh and genuine food, typical Tuscan, abundant dishes. Excellent local wine. Clean place and kind and helpful staff ideal to go for a tour of the San Galgano Abbey and the Montesiepi hermitage by coinciding the end of the visit with lunch time. Open on Mondays.

Appena arrivati gli odori hanno fatto da benvenuto e prometteva bene. Dopo abbiamo confermato la sensazione iniziale. Una bella esperienza. Non da meno la gentilezza e rapidità del personale. I primi ci hanno deliziato, ma anche con i dolci la cosa non è cambiata. Di solito i ristoranti è lì che cadono.

Difficile dare un giudizio sintetico. Luci e ombre. Le prime: Reception impeccabile, davvero un ottimo biglietto da visita. Camere e bagni ben tenute e puliti. Buona copertura wi-fi. Le seconde: Servizio in tavola ampiamente (ed eufemisticamente) rude e sotto standard, non volendo entrare nei particolari. Servizio bar migliorabile. In generale non si percepisce l'attenzione al cliente e l'ambiente sembra' pervaso da una certa rustica, ma non bonaria, ottusita'. Una speranza: La seconda generazione della proprieta'/gestione sembra educata, attenta e promettente. In conclusione, per visitare la meravigliosa Abbazia consiglio, per il momento, le vicine e numerose alternative.
